Marcus

Im so ready! Edit: The end is treated like a reveal not because you're supposed to recognize him but because its a reveal of the main villain, thats the end boss right there:)

Andor-lover

Honestly nothing proves how arrogant the viltrumites were more than them getting brought down because they didnt see a giant asteroid as a threat

GrayStark

Yooo, I absolutely loved that beginning angelic chorus death painting ass sequence. Metal as hell.

Kazumasa

Everyone in is double caked up this episode

Bobby Coles

It is a big reveal lol he’s literally the Viltrumite Grand Regent the one in charge which you’ve never seen him before so that’s why the suspenseful music :)

You’re not supposed to know who Thragg is at this point dw. This episode does an amazing job of expanding on the comics, the first 15 mins are only a couple of panels in the comic plus we get new lore on Nolan’s backstory, the parallel of his mother beating him in the steps with Nolan beating Mark on that mountain was great. It adds context to previous lines like Nolan telling Mark “your true education begins now” in S1E8 and Kregg telling Mark “you having proven yourself worthy of your Viltrumite heritage” in S2E4 after surviving a battle with 2 adult Viltrumites. The final convo between Thadeus and Nolan is great as at least to me it reveals that Thadeus now feels guiltier for virus as it seemingly upped the cruelty of the Viltrumites. Like Dani was saying he basically turned Argall into a martyr and the virus just made them double down. Plus Nolan is now resigning himself to fight as if he, Mark and Oliver don’t Thadeus will be forced to use the virus - the use of which would also kill him, Mark and Oliver. Great episode, might be my favourite of the whole show

Agreed, very morbid and eerie but in a beautiful way.

Grimm

You also have to keep in mind Nolan in season 1 told Mark Viltrumites live for thousands of years. So in this episode lets say Nolan was 18 that could've been thousands of years ago. Since in present time Nolan looks like his in his 50s.

Nolan L Thomas

The execution by the creators telling the story of the Viltrumite’s eradication was excellent. I really appreciate them giving us a good look on Viltrum and Viltrumite culture and how they were decimated by the virus. The haunting soundtrack was also very good.

Nolan L Thomas

The scene in combination with the music, of billions upon billions of Viltrumites corpses forming the ring around the planet was one of the most morbid, eerie yet beautiful things I’ve seen. Pure haunting imagery.

“No... you are wrong. We will honor our fallen, rebuild ourselves at any cost and destroy those who thought they could extinguish us. We are Viltrumites. We are without end.” “No. No, I will not reward failure. You have work to do yet.” The big boss Thragg has finally made his official debut. And the reactions he is going to generate are going to be outstanding. I’m so ready for it.

Nolan L Thomas

Indeed homie, The Viltrumites are one of the most compelling aspects of the series and getting to learn more about their culture and ways was very dope. Plus, the storytelling, emotionally, moral and ethical conflicts are so well presented. The series is enhancing and expanding the source material wonderfully.

Yeah.. all i'm gonna say that you guys are not READY for Thragg like you seen Conquest scared af by looking at him so that should tell you how much of a problem he's gonna be.

These Plums

It was a big reveal. Like introducing Thanos in the MCU. That's why the scene felt like that I guess.

Allen got a massive power boost after his near death experience remember, in season 2. He got jacked as hell when he got the boost

Sleep Deprived Sal

I know you guys probably figured it out, but that whole intro sequence happens in a span of time, also Earth wasn’t Nolan’s first task , it was his last after conquering THOUSANDS of worlds! Remember he told mark the world would turn to dust before mark even looks 30, so you can imagine how old Nolan is , if he looks like he’s in his 40s-50s! Nolan’s epithet is Nolan the Conqueror , which is why Conquest had high hopes for him, you can also see a bit of this during the build up to his execution, the viltrumites say “ Please sir , I’ve looked up to you since I was a child” and he’s a grown ass man so just some context! LOVE the reactions and so sorry for the Novel 😂

duckking235
