Shinobu's death shattered my heart. Been long while, since a anime death hit me so damn hard. I'm still not overly 😨😅I cried like newborn baby in theater, some folks even look at the kid funny 🤣🤣. But she went out like the big boss babe she is, I have theory that my girl has a contingency plan at work. That final hand gesture was deliberate. Of all the Upper Moons I need Doma to die the most painful death possible. He is so repugnant and annoying.

Like I said during the S4 finale, Zenitsu was going to slap all the hate out the naysayers's voices. The boy is marvelous, he makes his haters, like Dani still root and get emotional invest in his a story and battles. That's some next level aura for your ass.

Dani was right in that the Final Selection 5 all have a super sense connected to the 5 senses. Tanjiro is smell obviously , zenitsu is hearing bc he could tell where exactly kaigaku was located and thunder, inosuke is touch bc of the way he can move his body in impossible ways like move his heart around or how he can dislocate himself during the Entertainment arc, Genya is taste bc he eats demons for power, and Kanao is the final one but we still have yet to see her fight

Giyuu and Tanjirou vs Akaza has to be one of the most epic and titanic battles I've witnessed. Straight goosebumps inducing. Watching in theater was experience. But watching with y'all was pure joy, Akaza's heartbreaking backstory, along his combat prowess and overall character, are the reason why he is a big time fan favorite. This film was extremely emotional and a great showcase on why Demon Slayer is so beloved.

After watching this movie in theaters, I will say that I apologize to Akaza for hating him but I will not forgive him for killing Rengoku.

YES THIS. We don’t have to forgive him, but now we understand why, he didn’t remember his past why he was doing what he was doing. he was full of “I have to be stronger”. That was his overwhelming, confusing, misguided feeling. It doesn’t forgive his actions, but his story and the end of his life rectified Rengoku’s life. IMOOO - Morgan

I actually do forgive Akaza for killing rengoku. For one 1 reason, he didn’t CHOOSE to be a demon, he was forcibly turned. With a lot of the demons backstories the biggest tragedy is them making a split second bad choice in their most vulnerable. But Akaza never accepted, he told muzan to get bent and then was turned, After his transformation he forgot everything accept what muzan wanted, that insatiable drive to get stronger. And yet when he remembered everything that has happened to him, he choose to stop, even with muzan in his mind stoking that fire, he overcame it and finally got to make his choice on if he wanted to be a demon and he said no.

Akaza is honestly super Anakin Skywalker coded. Kinda wild it never clicked for me before. Not the same character obviously, but the parallels are pretty strong. Both grew up poor and deeply attached to their parents. Losing them was a major turning point that left lasting trauma. They each found love later on, and also had mentors who trained them in combat and gave them purpose. Then both lose the woman they love… and that’s really the breaking point. It pushes them further into despair and onto a darker path. Different worlds and motivations, but the emotional blueprint is very similar.

consuming humans, and according to Doma, women are more “nutritious” because they’re believed to have richer blood and bodies that can nurture life, so he prioritizes eating them. Akaza refuses because of his past and the woman he loved. Even after becoming a demon, that part of him never fully disappeared, so he draws the line there. So in theory, he could’ve been even stronger… but that one remaining piece of humanity held him back. An Akaza with no restraint and no humanity would be truly terrifying.

So Tanjiro announcing himself to Akaza was not just tanjiro doing some whole respectful thing, it was apart of not having fighting spirit. Had he not announced himself, he would've had fighting spirit and been noticed. If you remember his father in the flashback, he gave the bear an opportunity to leave. This is all apart of erasing all fighting spirit. Tanjiro operated under "fair combat" rules, which eliminated his fighting spirit. Had he taken advantage of the blindspot, akaza would have noticed him. He essentially removed all of his intent to kill akaza by giving akaza a warning that he was there. I don't think I explained this well but it was necessary that Tanjiro do that! Glad you guys enjoyed the movie

Damn when this shonen speaks the others stay silent, thanks for the early reaction xd, 11/10 and cinema and not to mention the technical details of the film.... Holy shit so late to this but what an incredible movie 😭 Akaza's back story was THE saddest demon one imo, all he wanted to do was protect his loved ones and the only thing that stayed after Muzan forcefully turned him was his self loathing 😭 Everytime I rewatch this I see more details, like how his compass is a snowflake bc the yuki in koyuki meant snow, how akaza always asked people to turn into demons bc he had no choice himself... It's just so heartbreaking how everything about him was created out of love but used for malice bc he was taken advantage of when he was vulnerable ughh my heart!! So happy this has finally come to streaming I literally cannot wait for the next movie, and as always I loved your reactions!! I truly appreciate how you all pick up the smallest details and remember things from prior episodes, it's always such a pleasure to watch these amazing shows with you all 💖

The fact that Akaza's technique of the compass design is based on his wife's snowflake hair pin💔💔and his squating pose when he begins a fight as a demon, is based on how he began sparring fights with his father in law as a human💔💔

There's even more if you didn't already pick up on then. Akaza’s hair, eyebrows, and vest share the same color palette as the kimono Koyuki once wore. Many of his attacks and techniques are also named after fireworks, again, his subconscious memories of Koyuki.

The akaza massacre that he did when he was a human was so crazy that in the databook, if im not mistaken it says that the event even got acknowledge by the entire japan at the time, (not even muzan or the other demons could make a scandal that big i think) because it was physically impossible for a normal human to do this to 67 armed swordsmen, the local authorities and the public could not accept it. The eyewitness reports were so gruesome and fantastical that the entire event was dismissed by society as an urban legend, a ghost story, or a myth rather than a real historical event. So in the end, instead of becoming an official historical fact, it was written off entirely as local folklore, meaning future generations only knew about it as a spooky bedtime story till this day. this information make my body shivers and its one of my favorites details about akaza history.

I just put it together: Rengoku and Hakuji have the exact same mentality, using their strength to help others, but the difference was a mother figure and class. Rengoku is from a prestigious family of swordsman while Hakuji was lower class. Also their temperaments Rengoku controls his emotions while Hakuji wears them on his sleeve
