Funnily enough, I think episode 3 came out within a week of that The Boys episode coming out.

Man they forgot everything 🤣. You guys are gonna miss like half the things going on since you didnt do a rewatch. Yes there are at least 2 other people like subaru. Hoshin the guy they talked about who built the japanese inn last season. And Al who they revealed is from japan 14 years ago in a break time short. As for Flugel. It was mentioned twice. Once when they mentioned who planted the giant tree and carved "Flugel was here!" Onto it. And the other Was in the emilia flashback when Geuse (Sloth) used the witch factor of sloth and apologized to his master Flugel for using it.

He never visited his parents, I don't know if it's possible for him to return to his own world. In season 2 episode 4, he went through Echidna's trial, which was about "facing the past". That's when we saw his memories in Earth.

Constellations are different between the worlds, so whoever built the tower had to at least have knowledge of Earth, if not been from there.

Literally 0 reason to be this rude, they're following along just fine and piecing together some minor details they might have forgotten, which, from a show that started in 2016, is totally understandable. They do this as a job and are keeping up with several series at a time, they don't have time to really rewatch shows. If you think they're forgetting something important just politely remind them? So like a few other people have said, we’ve heard the name Flugel before. In season 1, they mentioned he was the man who planted the big tree and “flugel was here” was carved in Japanese, and they used that big tree to defeat the white whale. Season 2, in Emilia’s first trial,(Subaru also took the first trial and we got to meet his parents) Petelguese said “please forgive me master Flugel “ when he took in the witch factor of sloth. He was also mentioned in season 3 by Lillian in her flashback, she said something about she can’t be a hero like Flugel or Reid. Reid was also mentioned in season 2 by Garfiel when he was fighting Elsa.

A little fun fact. The Pleiades is a star cluster also knows as the 7 sisters. In Japanese that star cluster is called Subaru (that’s why the car brand has stars). That’s why Subaru knows so much about stars because when he found it he is name after star cluster he studied astronomy and was able to defeat Regulus. This episode makes you ask so many questions, who is Flugel? Who named the sin archbishops? How does Shaula know English words? Why is she wearing the same color scheme as Subarus tracksuit? Re zero does have a lot of information and it does require you to do a bit of homework (crazy that there’s still a lot of cut content lol) but I’m pretty sure your comment section will help you:)

I really like Subaru's affinity for astronomy, it's established way back in season 1 that he had a thing for it. then it comes back all the way in s3 to learn regulus' weakness and now here for the test.

Subaru is named after a star (Japanese name of a star cluster anyways) so he looked up star stuff as a kid. It's why he recognized the names Petelgeuse, Regulus, Shaula, etc. That leads to the other question you were asking, why are there so many star names from our world in this world? Were there other people from Subaru's world? There's some answers to that question out there in shorts and stuff, but honestly it doesn't matter for right now, you're thinking of the right questions.

The stars and constellations are a metaphysical reality for the world of re zero. That's why subaru was able to find regulus' weakness because it was related to the star from our world in his name. All the sin archbishops are named after stars and that includes Subaru, which he realized last season. Flugel has been mentioned many times in the show, remember in last season when they went to priestella he was presented with the fact that other people from his world have been transported here? Flugel fits the bill with that specific type of person, which is also why Shaula says English words or phrases. With Shaulas color scheme and the towers need to know earth constellations to even get past one of the levels it seems this tower was specifically made for Subaru to conquer.

If you see this comment, I recommend rewatching the show or like a recap video, otherwise I don't think you'll enjoy this season to it's fullest potential at all. But I understand that everyone in the world won't be commited to this story as I am, nevertheless I hope you enjoy the rest of the season. This season is not really throwing baseless new stuff at all, it's about how much you remember and how much you pay attention to the previous seasons. But yeah I can't blame anyone for getting lost, there isn't much anime with this kind of writing, it's one of those that require both a good memory and attention to detail and themes. Especially future episodes this season will be full of details that make everything understandable, only if you remember stuff though.

Damn, there are some losers in these comments that sound like they don't talk to people lmao. Don't blame the creators for not remembering EVERYTHING, like holy shit, especially if they didn't even watch the break times. This show doesn't make it easy to follow every detail and hint without rewatching or watching supplemental content. Not everyone consumes every thing there is about the show, that's not a normal thing, and I can understand that as one of the weirdos that does consume almost everything. People need to chill tf out and be happy they are watching the show, enjoying it, and making it enjoyable to watch along. I'd say they are one of the better channels that watches ReZero anyways. All love to the people not being weirdos and hating!
