The Daemons I would want would be Right and Left, for obvious reasons 😅😂🤣But Hare and Tortoise. Not only do they have cool abilities. They are cutie pies as well.

Arakawa-Sensei is very talented in constructing a very compelling narrative, that leaves the audience wanting more.

The I-Guy

If I remember correctly I saw an interview where Arakawa mentioned that she was flipping through an old sketch book when she ran through the designs for Left and Right and that gave the idea for the show. She says it was dated before FMA too which is pretty cool

Higashi village is one group and yeah the Kagemori's are people who left the village due to some disagreement and founded their now thing. Dera is pretty explicitly stated to work for the village though. His name is Ryu Tadera and the Tadera clan have been called "retainers" for the village making them employees of them. His role as a "merchant" was so he could come and go from the village hiding that he's from the modern world. They mention this early on but there is a lot going on in those episodes.

I'm surprised no one has provided any context to this yet but as an fyi: Demon: Derived from the Latin daemonium, it became tied directly to Judeo-Christian theology as a fallen angel, devil, or embodiment of evil. Daemon: Derived directly from the ancient Greek daimōn, it originally meant a neutral or benevolent lesser divine being, guardian, or intermediary between gods and humans. "Demons" are malicious entities. "Daemons" are classical, neutral, or wise spirits from Greek philosophy.
