Mako getting the drop on Amon is one of my favorite moments in the series.

Loved this season. Here we go for S2 and I can’t wait to see all SIDES (😂)of this season in all its glory. But seriously, can’t wait to see what Morgan thinks of S2

The lore the lore ! 👀🙌🏼

What a season I loved how much of a threat Amon was like he was casually dropping bombs on the city, made the whole team split up & go underground & took away Korra’s bending till all she literally had left was airbending . & I believe when Korra was at the edge of that ice cliff the idea was that she was gonna commit s***** is what the author said she was thinking of doing , cause without her bending she doesn’t really know who she is outside of it since she’s been hidden & training for years in isolation

Very pleased Morgan is enjoying LoK. Sam and Dani’s presence is a very wonderful addition to these reactions.

So excited to see the reactions to the future seasons, especially season 3!

"'Noatak,' I had almost forgotten the sound of my own name." 😢

"When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the Greatest Change." Thank you Avatar Aang.😭 One of my favorite line's in the franchise and also the title of my favorite soundtrack in franchise as well.

I enjoyed watching The Legend of Korra all the way through, but sadly, this was the best season and it only went downhill from there. The plot armor of both the heroes and villains in the later seasons took away from the experience, but that's just me.

Tarrlock and Amon’s end was one of the most tragic and shocking scene I have seen in a kids show. Yakone overtook Ozai as the worst father/person ever in my opinion. Tarrlock and Amon could’ve easily have different lives. This season was great but it gets more absurd every season lol

I often relate this to "The Wheel of Time" book series, which has a lot of parallels in the foundations of their magic systems. It explicitly indicates that people who can bend (or "weave", as it's called there) have a spiritual connection to a something akin to a cosmic energy, and it's that connection that allows to them to bend. In Avatar it appears a person has separate connections to each element, of which the Avatar would have four + one more for the Avatar state. When Amon "severed" Korra's connections she hadn't yet made the one for Air (or the Avatar state), so they couldn't be severed. If Amon had gotten hold of her again he theoretically could have, though.

I think the best villians are the ones who see themselves as heroes or can be related to. I didn't cry for Amon, I cried for Noatak and Tarlokk.

"What if he's a bender? Then his whole empire collapses" - Morgan Dude, fucking Sam's face when she was saying that shit made me laugh so hard and post this comment. Like holy shit her face when Morgan was saying all of that.

Sam's empathy < 3

Thanks for starting this series guys. Genuinely, I don't get how anyone can watch this and say it isn't good. Preferring AtLAB over Korra is one thing, but put some respect on my girl's name 😤

I genuinely think Noatak is the strongest non-avatar bender to be ever introduced. Like I don't think Tagah would stand a chance against Noatak with his mastery of blood bending, which is what makes Amon so opposing. Like genuinely the only one who could've stopped him and put his guard down enough to do so was Tarrlok. If onlay Noatak had been able to convinced to the side of good, then so many more of the Korra seasons would've been handled in a snatch, but Noatak was too traumatized by his father's actions. In my opinion, Noatak is the strongest bender we get to see besides the Avatar.

Rubberducky

A personal theory is that Amon was blocking people's chakra nodes, like when aang got hit in the back by Azula

thereactpack

CRAP hahah I need to work on that lmao -Sam

The ending there was so dark and sad, it still takes me completely by surprise every time. A real gut punch. The older I get the more it affects me.

No Sam Crying 😭😭😭 don't cry boss lady

Cameron_1

That made me sad seeing Sam cry

OB11

Nickelodeon were really showing us murder-suicides on prime time kids TV 😭😭

Morgan! You’re right! Yacone is the same voice actor! Clancy Brown, who also played Long Feng in the original series, Mr.Krabs and General Kregg/Damien Darkblood in Invincible!

Before rewatching this, I didn't realize how Amon's whole reasoning wasn't really about hating benders/bending, it was about power. Before he left he told his dad that he knows blood bending isn't the most powerful thing in the world it's the Avatar because he had the power to take away bending. Then he left Tarrlok because he deemed him 'weak'. He just wanted power and believed he was the most powerful for being able to take peoples' bending away. Also, I'm glad to see Morgan (Dani & Sam as well) actually enjoy this show. It's a breath of fresh air to see it getting praised/love especially now. Yes, Korra has its faults (like every other show) but it also had so many set backs/ shitty things happen bts. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the only time they knew they would get multiple seasons was for 3 & 4 and even then they stopped airing it on tv halfway thru season 3 and the rest was aired exclusively online. Also, the budget was unexpectedly cut during season 4 so they also had to make adjustments for that instead of firing ppl 🙃 TLOK truly made it outta the trenches 😭😩

Danny

Lowkey a top 3 saddest moment in all of Avatar. The way they turned both Noatak and Tarlock into characters you can cry for.

Baren Nerab

I literally cant wait until the avatar fighting game brings in Amon and S4 main bad guy 😅 honestly I was disappointed Amon was a bender, I liked the idea a non-bender main villain.

Baren Nerab

I wished the writers kept Amon as a non-bender that main villain concept was too cool, and kept him in later seasons too 😅
