it's really the best way to create self affirmation for Subaru in the story. he's super hard on himself so he'd never do it naturally but a separate version gives him the out to do so without it holding him up

It really is so cool to see everyone reconcile with their memory loss and identity crisis issues. Whether its Newbaru and Subaru physically merging as one accepting each other as one and the same, or Julius accepting his new existence. Forgotten by the world but choosing to move forward. Establishing a new contract with his spirits and reintroducing himself to Anastasia pledging his allegiance as her Knight. Same with Anastasia herself choosing to break free from her od. Confronting her fear of forgetting Julius, accepting the same reality, and starting over (From Zero hehe) anew. I don't know what this author is on when he writes Re:Zero... but I want some of it. The creativity and uplifting core of the storytelling is remarkable.

Also Emilia being so chill with people forgetting who she is, she just assumes everyone has and tells them who she is. I feel like she's been the least stressed about it - Morgan

True. That does showcase the strength Emilia has in herself. Which she didn't have back in Season 1 and 2. It would be interesting if she too went on a memory loss arc like Subaru did. What would that look like?
