Yess love that you pointed out Korra using air so much more often now as opposed to her use of fire at the beginning of the series, it really encapsulates her journey for me. It's also such a beautiful and important choice to conclude Korra's final fight with these two things I think: 1. An action that shows her selflessness: jumping in front of that spirit beam may have been something Korra would’ve been capable of doing even as a teen, I mean her will to do so not the power she was capable of, I still believe it’s poignant that the writers chose to end her fight with Kuvira not by outright defeating her but rather saving her. 2. A conversation that shows her compassion: an understanding she only felt capable of after having fought and struggled through endless hardships. Her conversation with Kuvira is her growth on full display. Now an altruistic, emotionally intelligent young woman that was once just a sheltered, hot headed teenager. Korra is a waterbender first and foremost. Iroh once described water as the element of change and nothing fits her better. In her final conversation with Tenzin (which is my favorite scene in the show) he says she changed the world more in just a few years than most avatar’s did in their lifetime and her response is that she feels like she’s just getting started. she makes me SO proud. Korra will always be my favorite character in this franchise and nothing is gonna change that. Loved rewatching with y’all! reinvigorated my love for the show as it had been quite some time. Also fun fact, by the end of the show Korra actually has a well evened use of all 4 elements. someone online counted up her every use of each element and it goes as follows: Earth - 131, Air - 140, Water - 141 & Fire - 221. in case you also want to know Aang’s it goes: Fire - 27, Earth - 86, Water - 88 & Air - 668.

Flawed? Sure. But really can't understand the hate. It has such amazing moments just the same as ATLA. Some fans just can't have nice things :( Excited to see ya'll start Seven Havens! Love you Korra!

Great show and reaction series. +1 The Dragon Prince. I think it's up there with Korra, just without the existing lore and constantly changing villains. It takes a while to get there, but the show's arc is more like season 2 of Korra, meaning it's about a literally cosmic size story.

As an adult, I learn more every single day about how special bonds between women are 🥲. Doesn’t matter if it’s platonic or romantic, it is just so special to deeply understand each others experience and know that we all (or at least most of us) are here for one another and Korra and asamis entire relationship is such a beautiful representation of that. With havens being out a lot of the Korra hate is coming back and it's like damn this girl doesn't catch a break lol. Also for me I think korrasami was out of nowhere because there was no ok screen build up but years later I understand that asami has been korras best friend for a while and the only person she really built a strong connection with so I could see it under the surface building up into ok I wanna be with this person

Also as my second watch of this series I can definitively say the extra hate on character is unnecessary. She's a flawed avatar who is headstrong, impulsive and none of that really improves until the last two seasons
