Both are pretty good, but in sub i tend to watch the words more than the actual show lol

Jack Hooppaw

It is one of the better dubs, but I feel like it's fans are just a vocal minority. Plus switching midway is always weird.

MOB12

Unless you are having trouble reading and reacting i dont see a reason to switch. The dub is good too tho so really whatever you usually prefer is fine

Shyakugaun

Stick with sub unless you guys have a easier time watching dub

MOB12

Yeah its always weird for me when i start with one and then hear another. Theres exceptions as well tho and i believe MHA is up there for sure

Caliburns

Just watch whatever youre comfortable with. If you have no problem reading subs then its probably best to continue with that since youre already on episode 9. Im fine with both tbh.

Obito

Stick with sub, dub is good for sure but the sub is really good. Also as someone said switching midway through is a little weird.

Kieran Dodman

Please stick with sub, it’s selfish but I can’t watch reactions with the dub so I was very happy when I saw you watching sub. It’s actually what made me go diamond tier

Aespa MY

50 votes in like 5 minutes that was fast. I like both so I chose not to vote

Aespa MY

I agree switching after like 8 eps is just to late if they did one of each at begging would have been fine

Angel

Both are very good. The dub I enjoy more personally but up to you guys whatever you feel more comfortable with.

felipe rangel

Trial run dub for an episode or two and then decide which yall would prefer? Feel like that’s a good compromise.

JsnSkg

From the little I've heard, dub is hella underwhelming compared to Japanese w/subs----as is the case 95-98% of the time.

Alex cleveland

Sub is better overall. Dub is great tho, so it don't matter. Lets be honest tho yall, u saying dub is way better than sub MHA is the biggest cap ever. I would agree if yall said it to shows like FMAB, Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha, YuYu Hakusho, and plenty others, but HELL NAH when we comparing it to MHA. Plus yall watched 9 eps already. Keep the sub.

Kolvex

Dub for MHA is good whatever you prefer y’all reacting to the anime so which ever makes it easier on y’all I’m fine by both

Tejan J Salaam

Dub or Sub don’t really matter to me bc they both are great honestly but I watch sub myself so I say sub🤷🏾‍♂️

Boooomzz

I respect both sides of the argument, but I do think some people (not saying all) that are saying dub is better didn't watch the sub version.

Deon

Bruh what😭😭😭,nah stick to sub

Mesha

Y’all be so scared of dub I swear lmao

Gustavo

Honestly IMO both are on par with each other. There are times when the sub is better and vice versa. I’ll still be watching either way lol

IAmABacon

I personally can't stand the dub. I've compared the best scenes in both sub and dub, and the dub just feels so lacking in emotion.

Loco Logic

Since you've come this far with the sub, might as well stick with it, just for the sake of consistency. But really, both versions are great! Pick whichever you prefer. But I say if you ever decide to rewatch an episode on your own time, give the dub a shot.

Sephorah Elambo

The dub is not bad but I prefer the sub. But of course it’s also up to you guys whichever is fine.

isculpt

I’d try the Dub for 1-2 episodes, see how you like it and then compare it to the sub. Me personally, if a dub is good enough, I tend to go with dub. I hate having to read subtitles and it’s easier for me to follow what’s goin on. But ultimately you guys should choose whichever is more enjoyable for your experience.

David Cruz

Nah stick with sub since you guys already started in sub. It’s always weird when you switch midway through. Plus I like the sub better, I don’t like Deku’s voice actor in the dub. No offense to him, he’s a good voice actor but I like how the Japanese voice actor for Deku sounds better 👍🏼

Christian Alcaraz

I’ve watched the subs and I feel a certain detachment from the show watching it with subs. English dub is where it’s at. Voiced by Christopher Sabat, All Mights English voice is perfection. Midoriyas voice fits him perfectly as well. For me personally I feel that having the voices in English gets me much more involved and invested into the story and dialogue, and I can definitely feel every bit of emotion in their voice acting, especially in the most hype moments. And lastly, I love hearing all my favorite voice actors pop up on various animes lol but in the end it all comes down the personal preference, and typically people like whichever version they saw first because at that point you already have a voice associated with that character. The poll has spoken for this show tho, but I hope y’all give the English dub of a future show a chance! Maybe something like Code Geass or Death Note... :)

IAmABacon

I'm the same. The Japanese Deku can portray so much emotion. I'm sure the dub actor can too; but it's difficult when dubbing, as they're also trying to match lip flaps

Robert Morris

I speak both languages. English ruins it. Just saying.

Andrew Hicks

I started watching the dub and when I got to season 3, it switched to sub and I didn't notice for 3 episodes

TrackHoodie

I am on the same boat as you are. I speak both languages as well, and man it gets really cringe listening to the "English translation" on top of American censorship. Especially when the American voice directors, (if they even have one), are forced to twist lines to fit the lip movement of the characters.

Alfredo Saucedo

I like both but it seems like you’ll understand the story better with the Dub

Hiro

日本語で見て欲しいです!笑

Deon

Dubbed anime actually has reputation for making things confusing ,Ex:like something you read on screen from a subbed could be taken and worded differently in dubbed,it doesn’t happen often but still happens,on top of that American voice actors honestly cant compete with Japanese voice actors in making an anime character have emotion🤷🏾

Taylor

Just watch one in dub and if you like better go for it or switch back to sub 🤷🏻‍♂️

Corey Hughes

Ultimately I vote for you guys to watch whichever version you want to! I clicked sub though. :)

Raelyn Sargeant

Dub is actually extremely high quality for what it's worth, so a swap would not be bad at all. That said, the anime is still best watched in sub imo.

Dankster

Comments kinda gives you a false impression of people wanting dub, since you're already watching sub it's really only gonna be people that want the dub that comments about it

Adrien Smajdor

For anime, the sub version will always be the best. I won't criticize the work of dub voice actor of course because they do a great job, but japanese voice acting will always have something more. (in emotional scenes for example) :)

MishkaTho

Subbed > Dubbed !!!! Please stick with it 😭

OutlawStar

ive no preference ive watched dub and sub n enjoyed both. i think they want to switch to dubs. they are missing things and not understanding other things with subs, nothing major but they might enjoy it better

Pablo Landaverde

Anime fans alway prefer subs, it's like a stereotype at this point. MHA dub is actually good, I like both versions

Origin

Bakugo Japanese voice actor alone makes this no contest.

Hunter2

thats super rude, America voice actors are amazing and can easily compete with Japanese voice actors, both are great, why you gotta drag em for no reason

OutlawStar

prob the best idea. just let them see what they prefer, always makes for better reations

Jason Michael

This has one of the better dubs, but the poll was only going to go this way

A

It should be assumed that most polls for dub vs sub will result in subbed (except for a few animes that Americans were first introduced to in english, like Death Note and DBZ). I think what's more important is what you like. Also, subs are generally harder to commentate over because of how fast the subtitles can go sometimes.

Dooly

Please continue with the sub.

Tomii

Subs are always better :)

Cation

I'd rather say Sub since Izuku and Bakugo VA are amazing, especially later on

Clark

Gotta go Sub ladies...I know it is a pretty detailed show but trust me, developing gecko eyes to keep an eye on both animation and subtitles is worth it

CainetheLongshot

I'm sad I subbed to you guys after this vote! Well for what it's worth I feel the dub is better if you're more familiar with English than Japanese. A lot of nuances can be missed while in a language you may not be familiar with. Like if a character were to say something off screen, or if we get to hear a characters thoughts as a scene plays out and it bounces back and forth between 2 characters. Sometimes, for me at least, it's harder to differentiate some characters from one another because the VA in Japanese could convey all sorts of emotion that alters their pitch which sometimes sounds like other characters whereas in English I'd be like oh its just deku talking in a higher pitch cause he's MORE nervous than usual or something ya know? Also SOMETIMES the translations kinda suck and I'm left wondering like.... what did that sentence even mean 🤔 but I'd rewatch the show in English and not feel that confusion in that scene. Well anyways no matter what you watch, I'm happy to see you guys enjoying a terrific anime dub or sub 🙂 it's so good and you guys will love it!

Erin P Rempel

the emotion you get from the Japanese voice actors is just so important. they really get what kind of feelings they are supposed to be expressing and deliver it in a way that i dont think any voice acting short of FMAB Dub has ever been done for english dubs. its honestly makes the show for me
