LOVED that'll reacted to this! I was raised by a single immigrant mother and the way they portray generational trauma in this story is so satisying and relatable. Jobu Tupaki traveled through thousands of universes and timelines searching for a mother who would never give up on her. SHEESH I'M CRYING RIGHT NOW

So happy to see your reaction to this. For some reason I'd just thought you'd either watched it already (in your own time), or just wasn't something you'd planned to watch, so seeing this post drop apparently out of nowhere was a wonderful surprise. I'd watched it many times when it came out, and it got tears out me each time. And then a year later it still has the same impact.
