Joshi

Hehehe here we goooo

Benny Garcia

Happy Cyber Monday Sam, Dani, and Morgan 💻 🎁 🛍️

Nolan L Thomas

After this episode, I need to ask about Morgan's well-being. I know my girl was going through it.

Juan

And Nanami is the fav character of the mangaka🫥

Azazelop

Megumi doesn’t have control over Mahoraga. The ritual only works if he kills the Shikigami by himself.

Joshi

Sam still out here coping that Shoko saves anyone in this series 😂

Nolan L Thomas

One things I love about Nanami is he is hopeful realest. He hopes that things can get better for both sorcery and normal world, but he is realistic about it. Another thing I love about Nanami is how protective he is of young sorcerers after witnessing the death of his best friend. He's always at the front line of danger and gives the upcoming sorcerers hope. Nanami is one of the best characters that Gege created, he was a true professional.

Frxnks

Mahito is the best villain in this show so far, hes so entertaining to watch, so original and playful in how he fights, hot take but one of my fav characters in the show

Nolan L Thomas

Can we appreciate just how tough Nanami is? Man was burnt half to death, and still had enough energy to get up and walk and take out a couple curses. Nanami is one tough Mf.

The youtube hyperlink connects to 2x17 instead of 2x18

There isn’t anything wrong with the "malevolent kitchen" translation. Hell’s Kitchen can also be a fine translation for sukuna’s domain expansion. His character is always making cooking puns as well. People just prefer malevolent shrine because it sounds cooler. And it does sound cooler tbf

JoJoRenegade

Honestly love Mahito I’ve never hated and felt annoyed by a character this much but also love his screen time

Virgil Hawkins

I might be in the minority but if I saw that places I recognised were featured in anything I’d think it’d be really cool. Even if it was like seeing my local park get destroyed by a giant monster or something

Nolan L Thomas

Mahito is very sick, twisted and cruel character. Which makes him a fantastic villain. His and Yuuji's blood feud is one of my favorite elements of the series.

InnerCityIndigo

Mahito is a great villain. He's taking the fight very seriously but he's also genuinely having a good time.

I think the main issue people have is that the anime has already went with Malevolent Shrine. So it’s super weird to switch the translation up now. Even if both of them are technically accurate, staying consistent just makes more sense and leads to a lot less confusion for the viewers.

Kay tee

Mahito is the villain 🐐🐐🐐

Dirty_Oldman

Nanami has one of the best deaths in anime. The lead up to was perfect. First he was cut up by Dagon, burned by Jogo, and transfigured by Manitob. It makes you feel like no one is safe.

Jesse Suthers

There's few things I enjoy in life, chocolate milk, digornos, and Morgan's tears

danial javady

No. He was NEVER going to do it vs Todo. That is completely out of character. He was genuinely holding back in that fight. That's why you NEVER see him do the handsigns.

Virgil Hawkins

Yeah that’s fair, but I noticed that it was more manga readers pointing it out than anime-only viewers

Hotep Tiger

Y’all still got that mahito plushie?

Arctic_stark

Great reaction guys! I just wanted to point out one thing, I think something a lot of reactors have missed is that even just before dying, Nanami was very concerned about what his last words would be, that he didn't want to say something that would hang over Yuji like a black cloud, but wanted to be supportive even then. Thats the internal debate you see him having in that minute when he sees Haibara and realizes that Yuji is nearby. That's why he said what he did, which is almost motivational.

Arctic_stark

Also the relevance of having the Hidden inventory arc earlier in the season is very clear now, seeing how those events still influenced our main characters. Gojo and Nanami are still haunted and traumatized by their perceived failures back when they were students (Geto and Haibara respectively) and they're both driven by a motive to ensure that kids shouldn't be affected in that way. I also dont think it's an accident that Megumi (deeply empathetic) and Yuji (childishly optimistic) share a lot of similarities with Geto and Haibara. To a lesser extent, you also see it in the melancholy of Shoko and Utahime.

Rodrigo Martinez

I couldn’t agree more with Sam on that “funny” bit I was beyond done with mahito to even amuse the idea hEs StIlL a FuN character 🤮 give him Death and see how playful he is then 😤

Mojira

Won't get much better, a lot of shock value approach. Which hurts the JJK story. Similar problem with the chainsaw man.

Nardoc

Aww poor Morgan. As soon as Nanami popped up on screen at the beach she was all smiles and slowly she remembered his current situation and the smile dropped. Sorry you had to lose your favorite character, it always sucks :(

Aly

I’m sorry but Sam’s scream has me dying 😭😭

Whyyeezus

I watched quite a few reactions to this episode and yall's was the best by far. Pure pain lol

I think I disagree when it comes to this episode in particular. Imo if they were going with shock value, they would’ve kept nanami as dead after jogo burned him, instead of giving him an emotional sendoff. Getting killed by a secondary antagonist (jogo) to demonstrate how strong they are is what I’d call shock value.

Virgil Hawkins

Are we ignoring the enormous mouth in the centre of the domain? Or the way they demonstrate sukuna’s slicing attacks with kitchen knives. Both translations work for a reason

MishkaTho

The depression post episode is real haha 😭

Thamor

Thanks for the warning I was ready for the screams, but damn you girls screamed for real on Nanami scene. Mahito is still a fun character and yes he is pure evil he is a curse in the end made from fear of death or that is what I understand he is. Still agree with Sam can't wait to see him get his justified end in the hands of Yuji.
