Sketch – The draft wasn’t very clear in my mind yet: I knew how to start and end this page, but the central framing… not so much ^^'

Definitive Sketch – Here I finally found the right solution for all the shots! I added rhythm, tension, and movement, imagining everything as if they were animated sequences (it would be fun to actually make them).

Lineart – In this phase, I cleaned up and defined the characters’ outlines, trying to keep the dynamism with some kinetic lines.

Flat Coloring – I was still a bit unsure about the final rendering of the dog in the first panel (ghost effect), since it had to convey its sudden movement toward the wolf’s feet, but I wanted to keep a more toony and playful style. Even the movement of the wolf’s dick with frames wasn’t easy… I tried some blurred effects, but they didn’t quite convince me.

Shadows and Highlights – Lights and shadows (still in progress) are always the most fun and satisfying part to work on!

If you have any questions about any of the steps, I'd be happy to answer them!<<< PREV | FIRST | NEXT >>>

I like how ypu find the solution for the pannels, sometimes it appears during the process, and was a very interesting one. And other point, is the slightly use of cartooning for giving this puppy and playful touch push to make the scene more spicy, and gives a nice balance. I don't know if you have done a script previously, but i feel that it's having a natural evolving, making it so fresh and spontaneous. I'm exited to see more!

Thank you so much! Yes, I've written both the story and the screenplay quite detailedly, with shots, points of view, etc., but obviously during the storyboard (sketch phase) something can change. I let myself be carried away by the moment and the scene. I think it's a good workflow.
