🔄 Intensity and shift in dominance

Welcome back! This week I’ll walk you through the process of creating the latest page. Here I wanted to show not only the growing intensity of the physical relationship between the two characters, but also a shift in dominance: until now the dog had always led the action while the wolf followed, but in this page the wolf takes control, becoming the dominant one.

✏️ Sketch and perspective

During the sketch phase I had fun experimenting with more extreme angles and viewpoints, pushing the perspective a bit. It may not be perfectly accurate, but I think it succeeds in its goal: adding energy and dynamism to the scene, while making the role reversal between the characters clear.

🖊️ Inking

When moving on to the definition and inking stage, I didn’t make any major changes: the initial draft was already convincing and satisfying.

🎨 Colors and lighting

Flat coloring was simple and straightforward. For the lighting I used softer gradients in some shots, which help emphasize the curves 🍑 and add more depth.

📐 Layout

During the layout phase I decided to remove the foreground sound effects from the last panel, leaving only those in the background. I didn’t want to overload the vignette, preferring a lighter and graphic. If you have any questions about any of the steps, I'd be happy to answer them!

Looks great!! I like It when you have a clear concept in your mind, because the sketch waa polished at the beggining, and perfect. I agree with you about the overloading, sometimes it's better simple and direct than adding too much things, and you have nailed, have make it passionate, moving and of course, reaching what you have in your mind. Great and astounding job!
