As the title suggests, I'm looking for ideas for the cover art of Lunar Interlude. Obviously, if you haven't read that far, this question isn't for you, and you should steer clear of this discussion because there are bound to be spoilers!

Some stipulations: It needs to feature Juliet. I might be able to get another character on the cover with her, but we like to keep the covers thematically similar, and, thus far, Juliet's been solo on the cover of books 1-4.

Some vague ideas I'm tossing around:

1 - Lots of motorcycle riding takes place in this book. I guess that could be a cool cover.

2 - The scene where she and Leo are fighting up from LifeUltra's basement levels might be cool. I could see an action shot with Juliet standing there, Texan blazing . . .3 - Maybe the "infiltration" of Vicky's garage. Juliet skulking around a corner or something . . .Open to any ideas. I need to send something in today or tomorrow, so I'll keep an eye on this thread. It doesn't necessarily need to be an action scene - see book 4, for example.

Motor bike with a lunar landscape backdrop!

Juliet and Tanaka having the meeting on the top floor of the fancy lunar restaurant was a pretty good visual

Maybe practicing with the monoblade

The second suggestion you posted was the first picture in my mind.

Banana pancakes!

Juliet on the bike on little hill, earth in the back and habitats on the right

I feel like the monoblade and deeping relations with Tanaka + crew was the most significant growth of the Interlude. I'd represent that in the cover art.

By far their infiltration is the pinnacle scene in the book and would make a good cover imo. Bloody sword in one hand Texan in the other would be tight as hell

Crescent Sunrise

Pulled this from my discord post. The camera is to the back of our intrepid heroine; side profile, her appearance is very much similar to the cover of Jovian Reverie, with the new addition of her monoblade, which is mounted to her motorcycle. Juliet, having parked her motorcycle, sitting astride it. Helmet off and resting on the handlebars, she is looking out over a panoramic view of Luna City. In the distance, we can see Earth through the dome covering the city, as well as the ethereal beauty of the Moons' surface. Depending on what side of Juliet we see, maybe we see her iconic Texan strapped to her thigh like the Space Cowgirl badass she is!

Juliet's not one to pretend there's no world outside.

What about here meeting up with Tanaka? That seemed to have been a big part of things. His deep bow in the garage to a helmeted Lucky His sword training? Or the scene where they met up for dinner and got dressed up for it? Then decided to work with one another...

Reno

There's something to be said about an idyllic farm/park scene with Juliet and a motorcycle. There was significant greenery in the other dome, right? The reason I'm suggesting that is that it'll be an intriguing contrast with the other covers, while still being thematically similar.

I like the idea of featuring her on a motorcycle. The way you described that top of the line futuristic motorcycle she gets, with the static field and the LEDs that warn people away, stuck in my head. You could recreate that scene for the cover and it would slap. Feature her with the monoblade strapped to the side while she's wielding her Texan for maximum Edgerunner vibes.

Is this the book where the Cherry Blossom is finished? Cause if it is that could be something to add. Although so far the cover has had Juliete in it idk how you could incorporate that, Maybe have it in the backround somewhere mixed with Crescent Sunrises idea? Like if she was in the hanger where they park it while resting on her bike facing the camera and in the background the ship is there with a view of the moons surface and Earth. Idk if it's too much to add to a book cover though. Also I don't remember if it's mentioned if there is some sort of force feild on the hanger doors that you can see through or if it's a roll up door of some sort.

An image of them working on the ship, with Aya peaking out from the inside of the ship guts, Juliet working on the outside, putting on the painted panels maybe? And maybe get Bennet pumping iron in there too. I think that could be real nice, showing how she's finally with friends and enjoying life. Another idea I had was her being operated on by Ladia. But I also agree the motorcycle is a lead actor in book 5.

I think having the finished Cherry Blossom with its sky blue paint and pink flower petals would look nice instead of it being worked on. Also I think so far it's just been Juliet on the cover but, having more of her friends/crew would be a neat touch but, then again that could be too much for a book cover, for the most part they are relatively simple without a lot of stuff going on.

I think it should feature Tanaka and the Mono-Blade in some form. Juliet learning to use it is central to the story, as is the development of her relationship with Tanaka.

Horty

Well, monoblade and bike are central in the book, but also growing confidence. So the hot dress might be a good representation. One of these days we need a full shocktrooper combatgear pic.

Book 5 cover: Juliet has her training blade on. She's geared up just before going to Life-Ultra. tactical helmet is on her handle bars/seat of her motorcycle. Background is of gunship.

Hoffman

She doesn't have it on. Its her training blade she has on.

Horty

True, but a cover has to be catching and a training blade ain't really catching.
