Also purring always seemed to be an embarrassing/ involuntary reaction that Catra often tried to hide in the show. Is purring not as an embarrassing thing to do among friends and loved ones in Halfmoon Catra’s culture?

Catra grew up in a healthy environment here, so she didn’t have to suppress her emotions and purring urges. In the show she feels embarrassed by it because she was taught showing her emotions was wrong or made her look weak, imo

It heartwarming to see these two in a more healthier relationship. In canon the Horde environment did more harm than good with these two. Makes me wish that Catra gone with Adora to Brightmoon during season 1 to escape the Horde and most of all Shadowweaver.
