So, I try very hard to use REAL images for my captions. I think it's important for the "craft," but as we all know, AI is flooding the internet. I have my opinions on AI when it comes to art and images, but I also cannot deny the doors it opens for content creators like myself, especially those of us who can write but not illustrate. With that said, I was farting around with ChatGPT and created a few images that sparked a story in me. Something more long-form instead of a caption or two. Here is my dilemma though, I'd be using AI art. The writing and the story would be my own, but the art I've generated on ChatGPT. So, my question for you, my lovely supporters: would you be okay with me posting a full-length story that uses AI art? I don't know prices or anything yet; I haven't gotten that far in planning. I just want to know all of your thoughts. Let me know in the comments.

I think that would be fine. You’d be able to give AI the prompt of the scene and it would generate an image around it. Instead of having to find one that fits the scene!

I personally think AI is a great tool. It helps, speeds things up, and can support the creative process. For me, the issue isn’t using AI itself, but relying on it creatively. That’s when everything starts to look the same, a bit bland, and we end up seeing a lot of shallow images and stories with no real emotional weight.

Do it. Just make it a great story. IMHO AI art in this context is perfectly fine.

One of my main problems with AI art is the lack of transparency. When someone tries to pass off AI art as genuine (and usually with genuine level prices attached), it really rubs me the wrong way. You're being transparent and as long as your entire output isn't shifting to AI (like your writing) then I see no harm in it. Being open, and honest is the best way forward.

For me AI images (and writing to some extent) are still in that uncanny valley subconsciously. So I don’t prefer it. But I don’t necessarily have a moral apprehension as long as you’re transparent.

Do it! Personally I use a mix of real and AI pictures with my captions. I think it can be easy to just use AI to make a lot of low quality pictures, so when I do use AI pictures I try to spend time getting it to look as real as possible and to depict whatever I'm looking for. I'm also working on a longer written story and I plan on using AI pictures to go along with it. I think especially for the long stories it's a lot easier to write the story and then use AI to make the pictures match exactly what you're looking for in order to really enhance it.

Do what makes you happy, some times both is good. :3 i do wish u would do some thicker woman stories though. that's my only gripe.

I’d be sad if you stopped doing real picture captions altogether, but if you feel this artist’s impulse for this one project for now you should follow the inspiration while you have it!

My biggest concerns with AI are the environmental impacts of it
