Good morning from Seattle! i’m not able to fast-forward or pause this or open it in YouTube. Am I doing something wrong? I love to do this one.

Tatyworks

Lyn, did you manage to play it? If you’re still having issues, you can view this tutorial directly on my YouTube channel too

Hi, I recently updated my procreate to 5.4.3 and am following your tutorial. The inverted mask and then paint with a cloud brush does not bring clouds to the front (I have white as a color selected) Tried in in another setup, just to make sure I didn’t mess things up, but nothing happens. I can brush away on the inverted mask with the white clouds brush and nothing shows. Any idea what goes wrong?

Tatyworks

Hmm… Let me see. I’ll get back to you shortly. 🙃

Tatyworks

Here is what comes to my mind. First, make sure you are working on the right layer (that is above the layer with the van), and clouds cover the lower side of the van and its wheels. Second, instead of inverting the mask, you can try to fill it with black color manually just by dragging black color on the image. It will disappear. Then make sure to select pure white color and make strokes on the mask layer, not the layer with image. If clouds brush still doesn’t work, try some other brush that is more opaque. Just to see if it’s your cloud brush settings (maybe you changed them earlier). Please let me know if this helps 😊

Angel

Thanks, I will try this in a bit. Can I upload a screenshot somewhere? So you can see the layers etc.

Angel

I tried and filled the layer with black and used a rather opaque marker brush with white to see if anything would happen. Nothing

I went and found the Patreon Version 2 Elements brush set and used the clouds brush. It works now. Thanks for the tip :-)

Can I just say Taty, you skin looks amazing! 🤩

Tatyworks

Haha thank you, dear! 😄 If you meant the thumbnail, it has a filter on. But in the videos it is all natural

Wow! This one was so full of techniques - I made the poster (it turned out ok-ish) and now I'm going to do it a second time, trying to take notes on all the techniques you used so I can try them out on other things. Thanks!!
