Ever wondered how to combine brushes?

Thank you! Besides the 3d style, would this be how I would make a two color brush, kinda like a brush would be loaded for one stroke painting?

I don’t think I know what I’m doing? There isn’t any file for me to download? I tried all three ways and it is empty? Maybe I’m not doing something right?
