Chapter 3 Reboot, Pages 20-21 (Patreon)

This is a two-page spread and it really shouldn't have taken me so long but I came home from vacation sick and I kept falling asleep! So I didn't get this done by yesterday because I kept napping! Anyway...

I don't think I'll have an update next week, but I will certainly try. It sounds like I'm going to be hired to do color work for another comic starting Monday, so I've got a little bit more going on at the moment. I'm four or five pages away from finishing the chapter and I'd like to knock those out in one go so I can then spend a little time on the website.

I used this from the original black and white comic... seems simple enough but I had to fill in some of those blanks from the old word balloons with more hair!

Line art and spot blacking! There is some overlap, sorry.

Silhouettes!

Flats with a background texture.

Shadows, added the earth behind the Munchkin. (Here's where I took a nap, lol)

Added some highlights and gradations..

Textures, blush, line effects, etc...

Added the dialogue and sound effects. I don't LOVE the placement of some of Vox's overlays but It looked really weird when I covered her hair with the boxes, so I spread them out a bit. It does leave a bit of an open space on the top right... perhaps I should have raised her up, I'm not sure why I didn't. Maybe it will be less obvious in print form, haha.
