This took me a while longer than I expected thanks to all that foliage! I've also been doing some groundwork for the Kickstarter campaign I want to do soon. It was originally going to be in October but I might wait until after the US elections so I don't have to compete with some of those ads. I sent out something to a printer I'd like to use asking for a quote and turnaround times and whatnot.

The original black and white version. I'm laughing looking at this because foliage was so much easier... that middle panel of her walking through the woods took no time in this version and took FOREVER in the color version.

I enjoyed doing the linework for this page, even if it took a while.

Silhouettes.

Flats!

Shadows! This is what stole my life away, haha.

Gradients and highlights. I liked the gradient I used on the trees to show they were starting to have some leaves turn, as though it were very early fall (which it is in real life and at this point in the story!).

Patterns and textures, line effects, etc. I must be in the fall spirit because I laughed so hard when I found that jack-o-lantern pattern in my collection. It somehow felt right to use...

Text! Dialogue and sound effects. Removed sever sounds and I ended up scooting Arma over a bit to make room for some of her inner dialogue.
