Chapter 5 Reboot, Page 6 (Patreon)

NINE PANELS! Boy, this took some time. In case you don't follow my Bluesky account, I actually sliced a large chunk out of my thumb last week shortly after finishing the lineart for this page and the next one. I had planned on finishing both pages by the end of the weekend, but not being able to use my thumb for a few days really slowed me down. It still hurts, so I'm actually going to focus on my Kickstarter video for the rest of the week. I did also finish Page 7, but I'll have that go up Saturday instead of today.

I'm glad there was no background work to be done or these pages would have taken even longer. The panel I spent the most time on was the Naoko Takeuchi inspired "Pretty Evolution Remake" panel haha.

Process Images

The original! I was NOT sure how I would do some of this in color, to be honest.

Line art!

Silhouettes!

Flat colors!

Shadows!

Gradation and lighting!

Patterns, effects, textures, etc.

Text and some minor layout changes! My thumb hurts so I'm going to take a break before I type up the next page's blurbs.
