Chapter 5 Reboot, Page 7 (Patreon)

I had a lot of fun with this page! The top panel is my favorite of course, but Arma getting slammed by the male symbol while Lamia guffaws next to her was fun too. I made some INTERESTING choices with balloon placement, but it's only natural I would struggle with converting vertical Japanese word balloons to American horizontal balloons.

As I said Wednesday, I'm taking a small break to work on the Kickstarter so my thumb can heal a little more before I do more lineart again.

The original black and white page! On the right, you can see I kept the flow of the panels by having dialogue balloons cut into the next panel. I wasn't quite able to replicate that in English, unfortunately, but I also didn't want to change the layout too much (see: lazy).

Patterns and textures! This is where the page really jumps to life. Took me forever to find a "manly" free pattern to use to replace the Easter Island heads screen tone from the original.

Text and sound effects! Like I said, I made some interesting choices that went against my better judgement, haha. IT IS WHAT IT IS.
