I Had A Baby! (Patreon)

Update time.

I was MIA at the end of January because there were a lot of complications with the birth. I was in the hospital for over a week and I'm still pretty sore and unable to sit/stand for long periods of time. This is the first time I've opened my computer since giving birth, actually, and I had a ton of emails and messages to get through.

I talked a bit about the birth on DeviantART  in a journal entry if you want to read about it, but I lost way more blood than I was supposed to and had to be monitored regularly because of inflammation and anemia, etc etc. I looked like a junkie with all the IV tracks in my arms :p

I'm home now, but still hurting quite a bit. I've got stitches in my girly parts and my pain medications aren't doing a great job, and having to suddenly get up to feed my kid or whatever can send lightning through my body >_< I wasn't expecting so many things to go wrong at the hospital so I never got around to posting the art I said I would post, but I'm going to try to do that in the next few days now that things are starting to settle down here. 

I inherited some money right before being admitted into the hospital, and I used some of that to buy a Cintiq Pro 13 that was released last year and is basically the cintiq I have been waiting for for years to replace my giant 2011 desktop model. I'm hoping this will allow me to work on illustrations while being around my family so I won't miss out if I need to feed the baby or whatever. 

On FaLLEN, I still can't sit for long periods of time, but my mom is in town helping out for a month or so and I plan on starting the comic again once I'm healed downstairs. I think it will be another week or two... in the meantime, I will try to get the rest of these sketchboards posted and finish some of the art I started before going in to get induced.

You're not obligated to tell me she's cute or anything like that, haha, but here's a photo of my little Sora if you are curious to see what she looks like. I won't be posting her photo publicly but this is a private post and many of you I also consider friends. This is from when she was a day old (and check out the bruise on my arm from the emergency needle I got, haha).
