This month has been a long month! The process for signing up for daycare for my kid is not like it is in America. Most places require you go through government mandated channels and you aren't guaranteed your first, second, or even third pick for daycares. Even worse, I've had to make appeals to case workers to show that I am not just a house wife, that I actually have a job to go back to (making comics!). I was able to get the greenlight to submit a formal request for my self-employment to be recognized, and a part of that was actually thanks to you guys. By having a Patreon I was able to show some kind of income, even if it's not a lot right now. I also have taken on a lot of translation freelance jobs this month to show them that I also translate for supplemental income when I have time, so that's one reason I have not had a lot of artwork done.

The whole family also got sick, haha. I've had this cold for over a week now :/

My kid does go to Sunday daycare for three hours every weekend, though, so today I was able to get some work done. These pictures are from me doing more ink work on the 2nd page of chapter 14. I posted some closeups of their faces, too. It's slow going...

The daycare situation is not great. I was told I am almost definitely guaranteed daycare from April onward, but until then it probably won't happen. I've been to so many daycares this month! We're going to keep trying but I probably will not be a full-time comic artist until April. 

Since daycare is an issue, and because I have some cons in February in the US, I will be going to the US with my kid for an extended period just so I can have my parents watch my kid while I hopefully do some work. I will take my computer and cintiq and focus on digital illustrations and will hopefully do some kind of stream.

In the meantime, I will continue to work on pages when the opportunity arises! I mostly post to the $5+ tiers but for this announcement and incomplete ink work I decided to post to everyone.

Thank you so much for your patience! I know this month has been basically nothing, but I have been working hard to make it so I can get back to work full-time, I promise. 

BTW, since next year is the year of the Mouse, the new year postcard will of course feature Vox, so in December I'll have something featuring Vox posted for that.
