Covid-19 And Updates (Patreon)

Hey everyone. I know I've been absent for a month I figured would be really productive... well, here's the main reason why:
CORONAVIRUS!!!
I'm in the US right now, and have been since late January. February was mostly me going to conventions and then the end of that month and my time in March was supposed to be for working on artwork. My parents were going to take my kid somewhere to play all day and I would stay inside and work, or I would leave and work somewhere else. Well, obviously, we had to limit what we could do and where we could go, and when my kid is around it's a little hard to work. I've also been struggling with getting my name changed to my husband's last name, and just as I had finally got everything set up for that, credit cards changed, etc... the COVID-19 stuff got CRAZY. Court dates were cancelled and suddenly all my plane tickets and cards and whatnot, which were for a Brooke Hyodo instead of a Brooke Stephenson, had to be changed. And THEN we found out flights to Japan were being cancelled left and right, so we had to reschedule...
Oh, I'm in the red for 2020 so far :(
I am going home tomorrow, though. I'm really nervous about traveling with my toddler overseas during all this, but I am even more afraid of being stranded here, since she is not a US citizen. So I moved my return ticket up by a whole week in case borders everyone start getting closed. It sucksssss.
So what work did I do? Well, while my kid was asleep I was able to rework the one-shot I was going to be starting in April. I thought the main character's transformation was lackluster and needed to show more personal growth for him, so I rewrote a lot of his story. I may still cut things or trim the page count a bit, but if you are interested I will be posting that to ALL patrons in a little bit. I know it's not the same as art, but I did what I could.
My kid DID get accepted into the daycare of my choice (hurray!) which originally meant I was going to be working on FaLLEN in April again. But with the coronavirus pandemic, there is a chance schools and preschools will be closing in Japan. I may also just choose not to send her, to be safe... but I have no idea how long that will last.
I am pretty bummed. I was supposed to go right back to work as soon as my kid enrolled, but seriously... who would have imagined a worldwide pandemic would thwart my plans? I'm gonna do what I can, though.
You guys, stay safe!
