Next video update, fursuit update + Health update (Patreon)

hello cattos, thank you for your patience as usual <3

got quite a bit to update you on

firstly, my lil trip to Belgium was super cool! however...i kinda goofed i guess? the place we were staying at was kind of in the middle of a forest, and on one of the nights we got completely swarmed by mosquitos :'D which meant waking up every hour or so to obnoxious buzzing (why do they have to fly directly into your ear) and I ended up hugely oversleeping. when i woke up I could NOT drag myself out of bed for the life of me, and had to wait for my partner to come rescue me...which resulted in me taking my meds several hours later than usual. which subsequently ruined the entire following week for me, and severely slowed down my next video/general work progress 🫠

the good news is, my meds finally started working again and I now have about 6 out of 11 minutes of the next video complete (it feels so good to actually have fun making videos again omg), and I should still be able to have 2 videos out this month (the next next video is only around 3/4 mins long)

one annoying thing though is that I've been running around from doctor to doctor trying to figure out the source of my aura migraines, so all of the (often spontaneous) appointments have been getting in the way of my streaming schedule. nothing has been discovered yet which is sort of good I guess? but it means doing more tests to narrow things down, and i don't know if the 2 i have lined up are the last ones or not, i guess we'll see

um

i did manage to work a bit on my fursuit stuff, and managed to complete one of my hand paws. or at least, complete it to the point where I know it's not gonna work lmaoit's my first time making my own paw pattern, and after making this prototype i have a big list of adjustments that need to be made xD I do still really wanna make my own pattern, but I'm considering using an existing pattern from another artist for now, just so I at least have some paws on-hand (lol) and can take pictures and stuff with him, since realising that making my own pattern is gonna take a bit more time/work than I thought, and considering the head is already complete (save for one final touch-up session maybe). my aim is to have a wearable partial by halloween, which should be very much possible with a pre-made paw pattern & my new sewing machine :>

final thing, sadly I didn't get a spot in the NFC dealer's den :< I am on the waiting list for a chance to get a spot if another creator drops out, but I think the chances are pretty unlikely. I did consider going anyway and maybe trying out for the Artist Alley instead, but with my mental health troubles this past week I was very much unprepared for the registration rush :'D Apparently NFC has limited tickets and those can be kind of hard to get even for regular visitors, and yeah I was just not in the right headspace to make a final decision on if I was gonna try to go or not lol so sadly NFC 2027 is pretty much definitely off the table, but Scotiacon is still happening and I'll be trying out for ConFuzzled + the usual DoKomi & Eurofurence next year, and I may also consider Awoostria again. Gamescom has also been on my mind, but every year there seems to be some kind of controversy (this year it was theft) so I'm still really unsure about trying it out. of course always feel free to suggest other cool events if you know any :>
