Happy Friday, everyone! I'm excited because it's time to choose Nikki's new hairstyle for her date with Zach!

We'll be starting with six options. Please select your favorite!

Unless there is a clear winner (70% or more of the vote) there will be a second round pitting the top contenders against each other.

I've attached the full-size images in case you need a closer look!

P.S. Please excuse Nikki's sourpuss faces. She's having a great time! 😉

Maggie Heels

Voted for 1st because of the waves in her Mom's hair... ❣️❣️❣️

Thomas Tolliver

Where's the butt-length option? ;) I voted for #1 but it looks like it's falling behind D:

Emory Ahlberg

Ha! Have to keep it realistic as to what Nikki would agree to without anesthesia! 😉

Maggie Heels

Option two is leading quite strongly already... and it looks like "no change at all" variant... majority of Platinum Star Members are choosing to go easy on Nikki 🤭

Wojtek

Maggie, you've convinced me i'm also voting for #1, although I like option #4 too! Emory don't you think Nikki selected hairstyle should go crazy with color, since you took away our multiple choice options? If the color is Round 2 then ok, Sandy had the option to choose her hair color, I look forward to the results!

Emory Ahlberg

She would definitely tolerate that one the best - and maybe not notice as it grew longer and longer. 😉

Emory Ahlberg

Good selection, Wojtek! Honestly, I don't think Nikki is psychologically ready for a new hair color - and Hutchinson didn't mandate it, so she's sticking with brown with some highlights. But there will be a 2nd round of this poll to choose the favorites!

Wojtek

Emory is option 5 and 6 the same hairstyle and they differ only in hair length? Instead of one of them, you could have a braid or at least highlights for Nikki! To show that Nikki is an independent spirit🤔🔥😏?

Emory Ahlberg

One of them does the cute ear thing. 🥰 Braid is an option for a lot of these down the line, too. Remember, this is just a stepping stone for Nikki - not her final look!

Crewchick

Emory, wow, that was a tough choice. All the hair styles are beautiful and Nikki looks amazing with all of them! I do hope we get to see Nikki wearing several of these over time as the story continue to play out. You made it extremely difficult to have to choose just one. Ultimately I chose #2. It is pretty much her current hair style only slightly longer and a little more cleaned up. My reason for this is because hair style is a pretty large expression of personality and projecting to the world how one sees themselves. And as we saw in Episode 47 Nikki is really confused right now about how she sees herself and how she fits in. As beautiful as each of these hair styles look on Nikki, each projects a very unique personality that I don't think Nikki is ready to embrace just yet. Plus her support network is still forming and I think they will play a big role in a decision like hair style. Right now just getting Nikki, who already does not recognize herself in the mirror to go on this spa day and get hair, nails and makeup done was HUGE!!! Kudos to Sandy! But I do not think she is ready to come out looking totally changed just yet. Just embracing basic elements of femininity in this outing would be a major victory. Plus whatever hair style she chooses is going to come with it's own care and maintenance regime. I just don't think Nikki is up yet for hair blowers, curling irons, flat irons, teasing combs, hair spray, etc... At least not at this moment. Baby steps. So I think this time the style still has be be pretty simple and easy to manage. Then there is also the fact Nikki still has to come home to her Dad after the date. He is already pretty down on her for how she looks now. What will he say with a much more dramatic and feminine hair style? Unless that is your vehicle for getting Nikki to move back in with her Mom??? However I don't think you have to wait too long for another hair style change. Once she has moved back in with her Mom and had time to really bond with Sandy, Jessica, Lauren and Evie, once Sandy gets them all in on the plan. I think post date, post bonding, post possibly another shopping spree this time for school cloths, that a new hair style to start the school year with might work as a sign of Nikki's growing acceptance of and comfort with her feminine self. So that the hair style choice truly is conscious self expression, and a sign of her commitment to embracing her new identity. Even then though I don't think it should be too extreme, possibly 3, 5 or 6? Once Nikki has fully accepted her new identity and is living her best self in it, then I think you can go crazy with the hair styles if you like. Because as they say "its a woman's prerogative to change her mind... and her hair style"! LOL!!!!!

Elrod W

Pout - no beehive, no victory rolls, no Brigitte Bardot options. Of course, Nikki's hair needs some length for some of the more classic movie-star 'dos. Audrey Hepburn had her classic style, and that's a bit TOO fancy (for now - future high-society event? Would look great!) For what's there - choice is 2. The waves in 1 just - they're not my choice. 5 is good. 6 looks - ugh. 4 is nice, but looks older. So - my choice is 2. (but someday I want to see her glam up, maybe like Brigitte or Audrey!)

Crewchick

I know a lot of people are voting for #1 now, some because it is the longest and others because it resembles Nikki's Mom's hair from when she was young. I think that would be a marvelous tribute if Nikki's Mom had passed away. I think it would be cuter if Nikki waited and maybe grew her hair out with her Mom and then go and get the same hair style together. A real Mother-Daughter moment. And if I can be really cheesy, sappy, or "Hallmark Channelly" maybe they even enter a Mother-Daughter pageant together!?! If that is too much for your story line, then maybe it could be a non-canonical extended pin-up series between episodes???

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Elrod! These are definitely baby steps for Nikki. We know that the harder she's pushed, the more stubborn she becomes. Anything too drastic would definitely cause her to backslide! But that doesn't mean she can't be coaxed along to something more glam down the line. 😉

Sam May

I like her current hair better than all of these 🥲

Gemma

I selected image 2. This style looks, as others have said, still very cute and and not too far removed from her current hairstyle and, at the same time clearly more feminine. I also believe that as it grows it will align nicely with Nikki’s increasing feminine presentation and other ongoing changes in her developing psyche. It would also be a shame to hide the way that one of her cute ears can be seen. This,as I said looks so cute and feminine and I can only imagine how pretty this will further look when her ears are adorned by some pretty ear rings.

Emory Ahlberg

Oh no! I’m sorry, Sam. But don’t worry - this isn’t her final look, either!

Skye

Definitely 2

Elrod W

Now I'm imagining Nikki having to go as Zack's date to a Halloween costume ball (fancy-dress ball for those on the 'wrong' side of the pond! ) and glamming it up there - possibly made easier by the fact that she would know it was temporary, but that might also give her a chance to get a little more comfortable glamming it up!

Alyson Greaves

Voting for Nikki to get a silly hat that she will be forced to wear at all times.

Tim

It's difficult to judge which hairstyle is best when they all frame such unattractive facial expressions. TBH, Emory, none of them look good when Nikki looks so (1) pissed, (2) sad, (3) "zombie-ish," (4) disengaged, (5) angry (again), and (6) shocked. Perhaps when you get to the final showdown (looks like it'll be #1 vs #2) you can lighten up on Nikki's dour mood... maybe a slight smile might hint at which of the top two Nikki likes best.

Helena Grace

Her expressions feel realistic to me. She is doing this under threat of violence, and to protect herself and Zach. This isn't a girl wanting a salon makeover. She's trying not to drowning while grabbing the easiest thing she can within reach. Nikki is stubborn past the point of self destruction.

Nolwenn

Totaly not for the 4. (La frange🤢.) I really like 1,2,3. 1 can completly stay a possible option to do with haircut 2 or 3 and "un fer à lisser" ( iron to straigth?) And i really like haircut 1 for a date.

Bartoon

They all have details I like. I like the curls / waves in #1. I like the color in #5. I like the length of #4. I like the look of #6 (middle part)

SingularCurve

I really like #1 and my second choice is #5. #1 is how I would like my hair to be, but #5 is a good second choice its fun flirty and femme.

Wojtek

I would have preferred Nikki in this new hairstyle and a T-shirt with a sign: I'm 🅱eautiful Reasonable 🅰dorable Tomboy than this (humilatining) hat, considering fact that Nikki likes to dress like a tomboy !

Sara Dune Tone

Ahhh i missed this. I would have gone for 4. The fringe is so femme heehee

Wojtek

Well look at that Emory, we need a tie-breaker with option #4 included as called most feminine😘. What do you think 😏?

Bartoon

WHAT DOES A TIE MEAN!!!?????!!! (two doos???)

Bartoon

new doo round two
