Always good to see Ryan and what an change of perspective. Jill is hot as ever and it works on everyone. I'm not surprised Ryan reacted physically to Jill. What did surprise me was Ryan taking those steps. Dressing femme, by choice is a huge step. She's at her most fragile right now though, it won't take much to backslide or break. I hope Davis and co leave Ryan alone while she finds her footing. Jill is going to be distracted with the coming out dinner.

Another masterpiece in story telling. She is power, she is grace, there is nothing she cant do if she sets her mind to it. There is no way the girl currently call Ryan is going to back slide if she takes this lesson to heart, no way short of death that will corrupt her. Its the actualizing moment that Holly helped Jill with. Jill passes it down and gains even more power for herself helping another girl actualize. The power in this moment!! Now, I look forward to the end game of this arc even more!

I love that Ryan is really a window into the struggle so many of us have with our own internalized transphobia. Many of the things that Ryan says and feels are thoughts and feelings I have experienced myself, especially in those really tough early days of my transition.

This is one of my favorite chapters of the whole story. Jill is such a wise angel! I'm glad Ryan is finally open to another path, and Jill is leading him/her there so gently and profoundly and compassionately. Moving and deep, not to mention beautiful to look at!

Yep, Jill's newer journey isn't just about surviving (she has done that), now it's about becoming someone new, someone stronger because of what she's been through. And yeah, I think you nailed it about power. It's not about domination for Jill, it's about empowering others, and in doing so, she finds even more of it for herself. It's a different kind of strength than what Davis understands, and I hope that's part of what makes her so compelling. As for Ryan, I agree! This is a potential breakthrough. It's a fragile moment, sure, but I think it's the start of something real for her. Of course, it couldn't have come at a worse time... (and we haven't seen Ryan's 'flash forward' yet!)

Yyyyeah, for sure, Jade. 💖 Ryan's wrestling with the image he had of himself as a man, and how that image is completely at odds with the reality of his body - and even if he accepts that this is who he'll need to be, he's afraid of what that will mean out in the 'real world.' That kind anxiety and even self-hatred can be just as damaging as anything Second Dawn throws at them. Hopefully Jill can help!

Thank you so much, Sun! I wanted to show how Jill's journey has made her uniquely qualified to help others. The empathy she’s gained through that experience is in full-force and I think she sees a lot of her past self in Ryan - even if she didn't resist as hard. But she recognizes that if she were locked up as a toy, she might have! For Jill, helping Ryan is also a way of continuing her own healing, of solidifying her new identity by nurturing someone else's. 💖
