-sounds of rifle cocking- Well okay then, things are escalating.

mrs palmer picking up the shotgun and making the doomguy face

Maggie Heels

My only advice for Momma Palmer is to change that shotgun to the one with longer butt stock... better grip after first shot because I have a hunch that she might want to reload couple times... :3 ❣️❣️❣️ And Nikki's smile is...sooo cuteee ❣️❣️❣️

Maggie Heels

Sandy: OMG Mrs Palmer what are you doing? Mrs Palmer: Now? Reloading... if you want to help in the cabinet behind you are two belts of ammo, could you give them to me please? Sandy: There are four of them do you want only two still? Mrz Palmer: Take ALL OF THEM, thank you. Sandy: I have bad feelings about this...

Oh Emory this episode is so natural, so real. Beautiful rhythm in the conversation exchanges between Nikki and Zack. It was nice to see Nikki’s slip up, is she also ‘bi-curious.’ Loved also the heat between them and how Zack’s responded it it. His sensitivity and empathy to see the hurt beneath Nikkis defensiveness and anger. We saw, and Zack saw, the dilemma, the no win bind, that Nikki faced and ‘got it.’ The parallels in both their stories and relationships with their controlling fathers serving to further deepen their developing relationship. I loved Nikki’s admission that an aspect of her behaviour (when she was Nick), towards him and distancing himself from Zack was that he knew that he was that one person who would be able to see beneath this macho masquerade. Visually this whole chapter is beautiful. The look on Nikki’s face, how she looks at Zack and he at her is beyond ‘two friends putting on a performance.’ Nikki is so animated and Zack must have been drinking in her twinkling eyes and beautiful smile. Her enthusiasm also seems to be contagious as she recruits Zack into embracing her sense of adventure and liberation. Masterful again Emory. Still waiting for the pace to slow down, just a smidge, for them to catch their breath, experience an awkward silence between them and then (you know we all have been waiting for it), that lingering kiss🤞

Woah caught this right upon upload yay! Wow this is so good! I love how magnetic Nikki is becoming. I love the softness that is emerging there. I can’t wait to see what happens when she is confronted with her inevitable attraction to the masculine ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 the anticipation is killing me! Hehe. Didn’t see that shotgun scene coming. I wonder what drama will ensue. I am reminded of the unforgettable scene in Maid For Life in which Sandy and Josh get threatened at gunpoint and then sex ensues 😈 also, the art looks so polished! Is there some tasteful AI use I am detecting there? Are you using a custom Lora on something like ComfyUI? And are you compositing with other techniques?Very curious about your process. Anyway thanks for coming to my Ted talk haha…

Jade Diaz

The kind of fish Nikki ordered, flown in from Japan often costs that much at sushi restaurants in the US. (Sometimes more, actually.)

Jade Diaz

I am also anticipating the kiss, but I will be absolutely stunned if Zach has any attraction to Nikki in return.

Jade Diaz

I am genuinely surprised but pleased Nikki let her anger go. Let herself be vulnerable. And I loved the play of Nikki shaking Zach’s hand away and then squeezing it three panels later. The highway motorcycle landscapes continue to be some of my favorite art you’ve made Emory! Bellissimo!

Jade Diaz

There's a restaurant here in Houston that does a flight of fatty toro pieces and it costs $165 by itself.

Gemma

Oh ye of little faith!😇

Gemma

Another quick comment on your art work. In the last image, the realism of the joy, delight and elation that you have captured in Nikki’s face is priceless!

SingularCurve

I have few pieces of advise for Mrs Palmer. Bring friends and more ammo. Then there is the ever popular "Shoot Straight, Conserve Ammo, and Never EVER make a deal with a Dragon." Finally, "Shoot first, confirm death, then monolog"

Robertlouis

It might be the motorcycle but this chapter has all the very best high operatic emotions and ambitions of the best Bruce Springsteen songs. And the artwork - just wonderful. I wonder if we’re going to see a universal truth fulfilled: you fall in love with a person, not their gender. Let me leave that one hanging. More later.

Robertlouis

Gemma, your comments are so on the money every time. Neither Nikki nor Zach realise just exactly what’s developing chemically between them right now, but it’s more than a shared defence mechanism to escape his father’s machinations, that’s for sure.

"Oh-oh come take my hand We're riding out tonight to case the promised land Oh-oh Thunder Road oh Thunder Road oh Thunder Road Lying out there like a killer in the sun Hey, I know it's late, we can make it if we run Oh, Thunder Road, sit tight, take hold Thunder Road."

[Verse 4] The street's alive as secret debts are paid Contact's made, they vanished unseen Kids flash guitars just like switch-blades Hustling for the record machine The hungry and the hunted Explode into rock'n'roll bands That faced off against each other out in the street Down in Jungleland [Guitar Solo] [Bridge] In the parking lot the visionaries dress in the latest rage Inside the backstreet girls are dancing to the records that the DJ plays Lonely-hearted lovers struggle in dark corners Desperate as the night moves on Just one look and a whisper, and they're gone [Saxophone Solo] [Verse 6] Beneath the city, two hearts beat Soul engines running through a night so tender In a bedroom locked in whispers Of soft refusal and then surrender In the tunnels uptown, the Rat's own dream guns him down As shots echo down them hallways in the night No one watches when the ambulance pulls away Or as the girl shuts out the bedroom light [Verse 7] Outside the street's on fire in a real death waltz Between what's flesh and what's fantasy And the poets down here don't write nothing at all They just stand back and let it all be And in the quick of the night They reach for their moment and try to make an honest stand But they wind up wounded, not even dead Tonight in Jungleland

Too tired (and sore) to say much beyond 'great job'. I think you're developing the background of the main characters very nicely - the parallels in their lives - being forced onto a path they really don't want - is starting to show in how they interact, with less hostility and more friendly affection. It's yet to be seen how far their interaction will develop. Going to take some serious pan meds, rest a while, and then I can do a little more psychological dissection of this ongoing roller-coaster.

Kris Greg

It took a while, but I FINALLY had a chance to read this. This issue did not disappoint. I love the character development even if not a whole lot else happened except for that one major thing.

Again, sorry for the delay in posting this comment. Life! What can I say? Also taken aback by just how good this story was and how much was packed into it. So many layers of the onion peeled back. I am still processing. As always I will say the episode was too short. But that is actually a compliment because the story is just so engrossing I don't want it to stop no matter how long it is. I just keep wanting more and more. Again like the last episode we see so much evolution in Nikki. She is out in public, glammed out to the the max and despite a few brief panic attacks, she is holding her own. Even one on one with another woman in the "Ladies Room". Completely sure that was intentional. Nikki who sees herself as a fraud as a woman just took that historical bastion of "Women Only" and MADE IT HER OWN as she put that girl in her place about Zach. When confronting the spy at the end of the night, the old Nick likely would have fought, Nikki chose to run and have fun. To quote Shrek there are layers to Nikki we are seeing, but there is also a maturity to Nikki that did not seem to exist with Nick. But also a freer spirit willing to relax and have fun (granted early stages and small steps). And we got more back story about all the pressure Nick was under from his Dad and how he could not breath from it at times, which again explains the panic attacks. I am excited to see much more of this new Nikki. But WOE, you completely threw me off with Mary Palmer and the shotgun! I mean I get the Mamma Bear act, but a one woman seek and destroy mission against a man who has a huge security crew, pays off police and has people disappeared or turned into "toys" is jumping off a high rocky cliff to save a drowning swimmer below. Sandy may need Mrs Ferris ASAP to talk Mary down. Not sure how you are going to navigate that plot twist and afraid you are going to make us wait until Season 3 to find out. While I absolutely loved this episode, as the penultimate, it makes me sad because I am still craving so much more and fear the Season 2 finale will be excellent as always, but also leave so much for Season 3. I will feel starved until Season 3 begins. Still counting the days until Episode 67 is released!

Crewchick

A slight reprieve. I forgot there will be an episode 68 in Season two at the end of the month. So 66 was not the penultimate, 67 will be and 68 will be the finally. So I have two more episodes to drink in before the famine comes. On average that is 54 panels of story telling to look forward to. So a little more time to move things along from date night. Any chance you could make 68 a double length episode (cue Roger Rabbit voice and sad eyes) "pa-weeeees"!!!!!!!!!!! 🙏 (and girlish but sultry and breathy Jessica Simpson voice) I've been a good girl Santa (well I tried to be anyways 😆) promise!!!

Emory Ahlberg

🤣 All the Southern politeness just evaporated, and the Mama Bear came out, ready to rip someone's face off. She's been holding back so much fear and fury over what happened to her child, and hearing the full, ugly truth about Hutchinson and Second Dawn just blew the doors off.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Maggie! Mom has been pushed past her limit. She's carried the weight of Howard's failures, Nikki's struggles, and her own history with men like Hutchinson for so long. And I'm glad Nikki's smile registered! For me, those little moments are key. They're glimpses of the person Nick buried under all that pressure to be the "star quarterback." 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks so much for the lovely feedback, Gemma! I really worked hard on getting that back-and-forth between Nikki and Zach to feel as authentic as possible (to where they both are right now). Regarding Nikki's potential feelings, I see her as being in such a state of flux that labels probably aren't even on her radar. Everything she thought she knew about herself has been forcibly dismantled. Her past identity was built on suppressing so much, and now this new identity is being imposed externally. Any attraction or curiosity she might feel is tangled up in that trauma and confusion - she's really just trying to figure out who the hell she even is from moment to moment. The fact that Zach sees glimpses of the "old Nick" she thought was buried just adds yet ANOTHER layer... 💕

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Sara! With Nikki, I really see her journey less as something totally new emerging, and more like the original Nick – the sensitive kid who loved animals and Disney movies – finally getting unearthed from beneath all the macho armor she had to build up because of her dad and the whole football scene. That "softness" was always there, I think, just buried super deep. The transition, traumatic as it is, is kind of forcing a vulnerability that lets that core part of him resurface. That shotgun moment with Mom Palmer – whew! It's pure, unfiltered rage fueled by love and helplessness. Thank you for mentioning the art! I use upscaling software to help the textures - especially the hair (Daz hair sucks for realism). Otherwise, there's a lot of compositing, photo-bashing, and manual tweaking in Photoshop. I should make a process video one day!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Jade! I see Nikki's vulnerability both as letting go of anger and also as the sadness underneath finally breaking through. For so long, anger was the only "acceptable" emotion for Nick Palmer, the QB. It was his shield. Now, with the emotional amplification from the hormones (which don't create new feelings, but can definitely turn up the volume on existing ones), that shield is cracking. He's confronting the grief and confusion he buried under layers of bravado. That moment of vulnerability is terrifying for Nikki because, in the hyper-masculine world she used to dominate, sadness equals weakness. But the sensitive kid she was forced to abandon is still in there...

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you Gemma! Capturing those fleeting moments where Nikki lets her guard down and just feels genuine, uncomplicated happiness is super gratifying for me. It's like seeing the person she was before the trauma peek through - that competitive, maybe slightly goofy person who could find real joy in something as simple as sinking a pool shot. Underneath the anger and the confusion, there's still a person capable of feeling good...

Emory Ahlberg

She could use your advice! Because when Mary Palmer grabs that shotgun, it's like a switch flips. Think about it: she's carried all that history with Hutchinson, watched Nikki go through hell, and then Sandy drops this bombshell about Second Dawn. It's just too much. Will Sandy be able to talk her down??

Emory Ahlberg

Wow, Bruce Springsteen! That's seriously awesome, thank you, Robert! I really was trying to hit those big, operatic emotional beats in this chapter - that feeling when everything is just cranked up to eleven, you know. Falling for the person, not the gender... Hmmm! It's complicated, though, because our gender does shape us, how we move through life, how people treat us. It's not just some coating you can scrape off. When I think about Josh or Zach, they're grappling with feelings for someone they have deep history with, but whose physical self is now radically different - and for Sandy and Nikki, that difference is tied up with trauma. So, what is that connection? Is it the soul, the shared past, the way they look now, the way they make each other feel? For me, the interesting part is watching them try to figure that out, especially when the world’s screaming rules at them about who they should be attracted to....

Emory Ahlberg

Hey, thanks so much for pushing through to read even when you're feeling rough! Hope the meds kick in and you get some good rest. 💕 Yeah, I'm really trying to dig into how Nikki and Zach are kind of circling each other now. They both got railroaded... Different tracks, same shitty destination picked by someone else. Nikki's changes are obviously staring her in the face, but Zach's been dealing with his dad's bullshit his whole life, trying to force him into this political heir mold. They've got a lot to unpack on their little date!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Kris! I'm really glad the character development landed for you. For me, especially with characters going through such intense internal upheaval like Nikki and Sandy, those shifts are a huge part of the story. Sometimes the quiet moments, the processing, the internal battles – that's where the real drama is brewing before it explodes! 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts, Diana! 💕 It makes me happy to hear you're finding so many layers in the story. That ladies' room scene was interesting to write because, in a way, Nikki is claiming a space, but it's also fueled by this fierce defensiveness of Zach and a reaction against the casual biphobia/homophobia she encountered. I'd say it's less about feeling authentically like a "woman" in that moment and more about instinctively protecting someone she cares about, maybe tapping into that protective instinct she had as a kid but now channeled through a new lens. The maturity shift is something I think about a lot. Nick's whole identity was built around this intense, almost brittle performance of masculinity demanded by his father and football culture. Stripping that away forces Nikki to confront vulnerabilities and situations Nick could just bulldoze through or ignore. It's a different kind of growth, maybe more internal than the external achievements Nick chased. The panic attacks are definitely tied to the pressure, but also, I think, to that profound loss of control and the feeling of being an imposter in her own skin. You can image that the cognitive dissonance is intense! And yeah, Mary Palmer... she's reached her breaking point. It's absolutely a Mamma Bear reaction pushed to an extreme. But think about her history: the pressure from Hutchinson years ago, the helplessness watching her son suffer under his father's influence, the kidnapping, the forced transition... and now realizing the full extent of Hutchinson's power and depravity from Sandy. It's a culmination of fear and rage. Her reaction isn't entirely rational, but it comes from that deep, primal need to protect her child when she feels all other options have failed....

Emory Ahlberg

LOL - I am very excited about the season finale, as well! 😊 💖 It has been a long time coming...

Jade Diaz

Sandy forked over multiple thousands for private makeover services too!

Emory I appreciate your insights into what you were thinking and feeling as you write the scene, and of course as the author you are absolutely right. The cognitive dissonance has to be unimaginable for Nikki. She has been under so so much incredible pressure for so so long I think we are watching the birth of a diamond. But the getting there is long and painful. We have talked a lot about masks. We have said football player Nick was a mask created by Nick's Dad. It has been suggested that even thoughtful long haired Nicky with the effeminate aura was to some degree a mask created by Nicky's Mom. I think tonight we are seeing the formation of a new mask for "Nikki". But these masks were not simply given to Nikki in a finished state to put on. These masks all were cast by other people (Mom, Dad, Hutchinson) but Nikki provided the resin for each to fill the cast and form the mask. With Mom and Dad it was unconscious. Nikki just responded to the cues he/she was given. And the result was very different and conflicting masks. But because they were not simply give and put on, they can't easily be taken off. For better or worse both masks are a part of Nikki since he/she filled in the form created by each parent. Both will always be a part of Nikki. To take each off requires breaking the masks but even then fragments remain. And likely neither Mom nor Dad was aware of what they were doing. This new mask is different. Aspects of it were intentionally forced on Nikki by Hutchinson and Xu. At least the external physical. Xu may have even had a hand in creating some of the behavioral patterns we are seeing floating to the surface in Nikki, such as some of the more effeminate mannerisms that are appearing second nature in Nikki. I suspect in the upcoming seasons we will see flashbacks to just how involved Nikki's conditioning and training really was. But this is all just framework and structure for the cast. Nikki is the one providing the the resin to fill it and her resin is filled with the pieces of all her other now broken masks. It is also being filled with new resin since Nikki is or just barely out of her teens. The human brain continues growing far longer than the body. It is believed the brain is not fully developed until 25. So amidst all that is going on to and around Nikki right now she herself is still growing and trying to define herself. As far as I can tell Nikki is the youngest person Xu has transformed. It looks like all the others were over 25. So that continued brain development and elasticity may account for things Xu's algorithm never even factored. On the outside Nikki may look like the mask Hutchinson set out to cast, but the resin filling it is far different. This date has been interesting because we are starting to see very early signs of how the different broken pieces of Nikki's previous masks, along with her own personal growth and self discovery are now coming together complimenting one another to create this latest mask. We are all seeing, as Zach notes the old sweet and caring and fiercely defensive of friends Nicky surfacing once again. The Ladies Room is a great example. But the fun side of "macho Nick" is still there too. We see it in the first part of the date with the motorcycle obsession. And with the bragging about her exceptional athleticism and gamesmanship at the bowling alley. Even that pathetic and embarrassing victory dance. They are all things I would see Nick saying and doing, because despite all the talk of how much pressure Nick was under, nothing is ever 100% one thing. I am sure Nick did manage to have fun at least on occasion for a little bit with friends and team mates at post game parties, school dances and other things. But seeing these things while giving a glimpse at perhaps a more fun side of the old Nick seemed different being done by Nikki. For Nick the bragging might have been an unspoken and readily accepted truth. In Nikki there feels a bit more exaggeration prompted by insecurity. Nikki really does not know if she's really "still got it". And this might be my own cognitive bias but female bravado just has a feel and tone different than male bravado. It is not that women are insecure, far from it, but when competing against males in physical and athletic events the odds of success, let alone dominance, are far lower and less guaranteed. Again this may be my own bias and preconception based on Nikki's very female and extremely attractive appearance, but when I read the words and see the still image my mind processes these things in a very feminine manner. If this was intentional and not my own bias, then I have to wonder if Clinic 12 conditioning is in some way responsible for this. Because we have seen nothing in Nikki's post New Dawn experience or early youth that would explain why these feminine mannerism seem so second nature and not some form of forced and exaggerated effect. Nikki is not "pretending" to be female for the date. There is not internal dialog of Nikki pre-thinking every action and gesture asking "how would a woman do this?". She is just doing. And I don't think you can just attribute that to Hutchinson's "feminine" aura thing. Even genetic females learn much of what we consider "feminine" by watching female role models (mothers, aunts, teachers, pop stars and celebrities, etc...) from infancy on without even realizing that is what they are doing. So I admit I am fascinated how Nikki could "slay" so much of this in the first try without even any practice, let alone any desire to do so. Hanging with girl scouts petting horses does not cut it for me. And the only thing I can fall back on is Clinic 12. I know make-up is not easy even for those who have been women their entire life. Nikki getting it after a YouTube video or two and killing it again on what seems like a first try needs more of an explanation. Clinic 12? Or maybe there is more to Nicky's relationship with his mother than we have yet to learn? But there feels like there is a missing piece here that is needed to complete the picture.

Crewchick

Back to the Ladies Room for a moment, I found it significant not because Nikki was some how intentionally "taking it" or "marking her turf" (yes a very male image). As you say the motivation to speak up was instinctive from a place of defending and protecting a friend. Still I found it so significant because Nikki has been very conscious of the fact she is a male who has been gravely violated and given a female appearance. I think body dis-morphia and cognitive dissonance and flat out denial prevent her from realizing just how female she does look now. The mall scenes were at times painfully awkward and near comical with Nikki trying to look "male" in her old cloths or fearing anyone would recognize her as male dressed in women's cloths (though that might actually be possible in the shorts she wore in the Season 2 video 😉). The two jerks only discovered it when she spoke in her male voice, and even then she thought their advances and cat calls were directed at her mother. She could not even see herself as possibly being seen as female let alone attractive. The second mall trip with her changing in the men's room was equally awkward and a little weird. So the fact that during the date she even used the ladies room, and may have even attempted to touch up her make-up and hair while in there before returning to the table is a moon landing advancement from the two mall experiences. When the other girl first came in I expected Nikki to awkwardly run out. That she engaged in conversation of any kind was huge! That she would feel comfortable enough to speak up in defense of Zach and even put that girl in her place a bit in that room was a threshold event for Nikki, even if it came from a place of care and concern for a friend and not some intended self actualization. Whether intended or not there was a moment of resignation if not actual acceptance of having to live in the moment as she is forced to present while still being true to herself at her core. And no version of Nicky/Nick/Nikki has ever been a shrinking violate. What is interesting is in some of the recent past episodes where Nikki confronts Hutchinson, some of her most defiant statements fall up into her pink feminine register. Clearly not something conscious. Though surely intended by you as the creator. I don't think we will fully understand or appreciate the reasons for this until well into Season 3. I am curious though if the laws of physics apply here. In particular "that every action has an equal and opposite reaction". She has had so much growth and development on this date, will there be a bit of morning after snap back filled with some self doubt, insecurity and momentary regret that maybe she went too far, gave in too easily or enjoyed herself far more than she feels she should? Especially when waking up back in her old bedroom filled with trophies and posters of her past? Not a permanent set back. Just a natural part of the growth process and letting go of aspects of one's past that have been so tightly grasped for so long. And surely a moment of angst that Sandy or her Mom might be able to talk her through. Of course maybe after Mary Palmer has put down the shotgun! 😉

SingularCurve

It is the little things that matter when confronting monsters like Hutch Sr.

Emory Ahlberg

Diana, thanks so much for diving so deep into Nikki’s headspace! I really appreciate you taking the time to unpack all that. Writing Nikki right now is intense, precisely because of that cognitive dissonance you mentioned. She’s caught in this absolute whirlwind of external force and internal chaos. The pressure is immense, and you're right, it's forging something, but the process is incredibly painful and confusing for her. I love the way you've explored the idea of masks. Obviously it’s something I think about a lot, not just with Nikki but with many characters navigating new identities, especially relating to gender and societal expectations. For Nikki, these roles (the jock son, the sensitive kid, the girlfriend) weren't just costumes she put on, they were molds created by the powerful forces in her life - her parents, the sports culture, and now Hutchinson and Second Dawn. Your point about Nikki providing the "resin" really resonates with me. Even when an identity is imposed, the person’s own history, personality, and resilience inevitably shape how that identity forms and manifests. It’s why these layers can’t just be peeled off! They become interwoven with who she is, leaving fragments behind even when she tries to break free. Nikki's youth is definitely a huge factor in how I'm approaching her story. That brain elasticity makes her more adaptable in some ways than perhaps an older victim might be, but it also makes her intensely vulnerable to the psychological manipulation she's enduring. Xu’s confidence in his methods and algorithms might not fully account for the sheer chaotic potential of a young mind still figuring itself out while under that kind of extreme duress. It's great that that you picked up on the different feel of Nikki's bravado compared to Nick's. I think that’s absolutely intentional. Nick's arrogance was backed by physical power and social privilege within his sphere. Nikki doesn't have that anymore. Her bravado now is more brittle, a defense mechanism clinging to old patterns while she's grappling with profound physical and social vulnerability. She’s trying to project the confidence she used to embody, but the foundation has shifted beneath her feet, leading to that sense of insecurity you noticed. It’s like she’s trying to run the old plays, but the field, the rules, and even her own body are different. Now, regarding the feminine mannerisms and skills, I think you've hit on a really complex aspect of her situation. It’s not just one thing. Clinic 12 was about far more than just physical changes. Second Dawn employs sophisticated psychological conditioning and behavioral modification. Think subtle, constant reinforcement, maybe even hypnotherapy or neuro-linguistic programming, techniques designed to instill certain behaviors and responses, often below the level of conscious awareness. It's less about teaching authentic expression and more about enforcing compliance and a specific, often passive, version of femininity. The makeup skills specifically were part of the "training" on the island. From Second Dawn's perspective, it's about ensuring the "product" meets certain aesthetic standards for their clients or fulfills the controller's vision (like Hutchinson's). It's another layer of control, reinforcing the visual identity they've imposed. Nikki getting good at it might be partly her adaptability, partly a subconscious coping mechanism (mastering something, even if forced), and partly the effectiveness of their training methods. It's not meant to imply an innate talent, but rather the result of intense, focused (and unwanted) instruction. Ultimately, Nikki is navigating this through a haze of trauma, dissociation, conditioning, and sheer survival instinct. Sometimes she might seem surprisingly adept, other times jarringly out of sync, because she IS out of sync. She's piecing together a way to exist from the fragments of her past selves and the imposed elements of her present, all while fighting to hold onto some core sense of identity. There isn't a simple explanation, and as you suspect, there are definitely more layers to uncover about what she went through and how it's affecting her now. Thanks again for such a thoughtful and insightful comment! It means a lot. 💕

Firewalker

Nikki takes it for most unsubtle crush. Beyond that though, Nikki finally trusting someone enough to open up (and trusting herself to be honest about her feelings) to share with Zach that she was trying so hard to be there for her dad and be who he wanted her to be is so powerful. She's spent so long living in this denial of who she was and how badly her dad's been pushing her that it's genuinely amazing to see her start to recognize just how badly her dad's been treating her. Momma with a shotgun goes so hard!

Emory Ahlberg

Yay! Thank you so much for these comments... and you're getting very very close to the end. Don't miss the little video I made before the season finale! 💕 Hehe
