So, funny thing... I found a time machine in the back of my closet, so naturally I had to send Nikki and the others on a little journey through history!

They're experiencing Valentine's Day across the decades (and centuries)!

Which era suits them all best? I won't lie... I like big dresses. Anyone with me? Oh! And more importantly - if YOU had a time machine, which decade would you visit for Valentine's Day?

Let me know! 💕

Love Nikki's 1940's pinup girl look... that's what the Greatest Generation were fighting for.

Helena Grace

Kris looks outstanding! I love her so much, but Jill is my absolute favorite this month. Everyone looks absolutely incredible I have to admit I'm currently imagining Holly used a slush fund to turn one of the spare rooms into this lounge, and she just uses it as a breakroom.

Gemma

I too love Nikki’s 1940’s pin up girl look. Once again, all our favourite girls look amazing. Thank you and hope you too have a happy Valentine’s Day

niki remains my preference

I think it's Sandy for me, with Nikki a close second. They're all really fun though and so well done with fantastic attention to detail.

Pet Jeffery

I think Nikki, with Sandy a close second. To answer the time machine question, I think I'd go for the 1950s, if only because that was when I was a child. I certainly wouldn't wish to go back to the first half of the 1940s, because the Germans were dropping bombs on the area in which I live. There's a reason for the 1950s houses, close to my home, in the midst of a Victorian terrace.

Maggie Heels

OMG... So hot in here... Unable to decide... as always ❣️❣️❣️

Ellen Mellor

Also, was the wallpaper in Jill's super groovy apartment a deliberate reference to the equally groovesome Irwin Allen's Time Tunnel? Or shall we just lie and say it was?

Larry Talbot

Holly as a flapper with the cigarette holder is awesome! You need more smoking shots!

Tuor

They all look so hot that choosing is difficult but I would go back to the 80’s and play Pac-Man with Kris in a heartbeat 💓. As always, thanks for the eye candy Emory 😘

2026-09-14 23:00 If i could i'll go to Paris during "les années folles" ( litterally "the crazy years" i think you call it the roaring twenties) it's the period of 1920 and 1929 between the 1st ww and the 2nd ww juste before the great depression. It could have been something to live

I've been thinking about your time machine. One thing I've learnt from being transgender is that the way I look can land me in deep trouble. So, before I stepped into the time machine, I'd need a serious makeover. Not a pinup makeover, but one to make me look inconspicuous in the time to which I was travelling.

Crystal Peaches

These are all so gorgeous. I have to choose my girls Nikki and Sandy for the outfits and locations and of course their beautiful selves. Adore all of these though xxx

SingularCurve

Kris has me going OMGoddess! Ive always enjoyed the Hollywood Glam Era as portrayed by Nikki. finally Sandy has that Victorian elegance down pat.

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Larry! I see her as a woman who would thrive in a dark speakeasy.

Emory Ahlberg

I find myself switching favorites every time I finish a new render!

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Pet! I think Nikki has a resilient beauty that really works in the 1940s style.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Ellen! And, yep, it was! Sandy is a chameleon who looks at home in any decade I drop her into.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Hel! Jill really owns the room! I love your idea of Holly hiding a secret lounge away from Mr. Xu. She needs a velvet-lined hideout to plot her next move in peace!

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Tim! Nikki fits the role of a girl worth fighting for! Now if only she could convince HERSELF of that...

Emory Ahlberg

An arcade date with Kris in the neon-soaked 80s sounds like the most wholesome timeline possible. I have a feeling she would be absolutely ruthless at Pac-Man, though. You would probably lose all your quarters! 😉

Emory Ahlberg

Fun idea, Nolwenn! There was a desperate kind of joy in that period between the wars....

Emory Ahlberg

Good point, Pet. The past was rarely safe for anyone who didn't fit a very narrow mold.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Crystal! Nikki and Sandy are carrying so much emotional weight, so seeing them in these stylized, fantasy scenarios was really fun!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Singular! I'm very jealous of Kris' perfect tummy lol

Tim

As I recall, she did have one guy in a pretty fierce fight with his father over her. Maybe that'll help convince her that she's worth fighting for.

Gemma

As are you!

Pet Jeffery

True, but I've been wondering whether that's the ideal 1940s hairstyle for Nikki. How would she look as a brunette Veronica Lake, especially with Nikki's trademark pout peeking out from behind the hair?

Crystal Peaches

And the clothes and poses are beyond ❤️

Emory, All the girls look amazing as expected. You always make it hard to pick just one favorite. As for top three, Jill, Sandy and Holly I think fill those slots. While Nikki is absolutely beautiful. There is something different in this image. She looks smaller, more fragile and vulnerable. Her facial expression is not a playful sexy one (something we have seen in Nikki in past non-canonical pin-ups of her), nor the self-confident anger and defiance we saw in the princess picture from last month. She appears to me physically smaller. Even more so than the Nikki we first met stepping off the plane in Episode one. Her bust seems much smaller than other illustrations of her. Her butt less round, her legs thinner with slightly less curve. She appears less womanly and more like a young teen girl being forced to dress sexy. It gives off a certain Epstein vibe. Now, this may be me reading way more into this image than is there, I concede. But it almost seems like you are subtlely weaving Nikki's state of mind in Episodes 69 and 70 into this Valentine's Day image of Nikki. While she is (and always will be) beautiful, there is something cold and disturbing to me in this image. I might also note that the only one smiling in all these images is Jill. And as beautiful as she is in this image and completely sells the 1960's Barbarella look, the smile seems betrayed by a lack of infectious spark in those beautiful blue eyes. You are a master artist. If you wanted a spark there, you would have put it there. So it leads me to think it is a smile for our benefit, not a reflection of Jill's actual emotion at the moment. Kind of how she has been dealing with her father. Showing him a face consistent with the story she is supposed to be telling. Action done to protect and insulate him from the reality all around them and from her own fears and urgency at the moment. As well as from the trauma she is still not yet able to fully process and reconcile with the possibility of reuniting with her family. Please don't take this as criticism, because I have the greatest admiration for your work, but I found these more a stylized and dark Valentines image series than a romantic and emotionally connectable one. I am guessing this is intentional. As, none of these women is in a very romantic or joyful place right now. Holly may very well be dying as we speak. Kris just sold out her best friend to suffer her own fate in order to save herself and Allen. Jill is carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders as she attempts to save the toys in Clinic 12 through a deal with the devil with Xu, while her worlds simultaneously collide. And I suspect she may be forced to make a choice between returning home with her family and regaining her life, or remaining behind to try and salvage some hope for the toys and companions in Clinic 12 as this all plays out. I have already expressed my thoughts on Nikki. And Even Sandy is finding this Valentine's Day that the announcement of her Valentine moving to Texas and enrolling in her college where they can be together every day brings her more distress than joy. Perhaps this was not intentional. Maybe it was a subconscious influence on your renderings from all the emotion involved in writing their stories at present? That is my impression, at least at seeing these beautiful but aloof and wistful women in these images.

Crewchick

The scary thing is, unknown to them, Kris may be packing a bigger "roll of quarters" than some of her male opponents playing Pac-Man. 😂

Crewchick

I think the difference is Nikki is used to and quite capable of fighting her own battles. I doubt she will ever really fit or settle into the damsel in distress role. Regardless of shifting physical gender identity, I doubt that is a mental transition Nikki is capable of. Her Mom and Sandy are coming to her aid right now, but that is very different from wanting or letting someone else fight on your behalf because you can't, or never have before because you were taught that was not your role.

Tuor

😂🥰

RE Kris: I initially thought you were going for a "Patrick Nagel" (1980's pop artist) effect with the pale skin, silver eye and cheek make-up, the neon colors, sharp angles and even the triangles (a background or contrasting effect seen in some of his work). But despite my mind making this connection, the emotional vibe I am getting is more "Blade Runner"! The silver make-up gives an almost machine like esthetic, despite looking very much a woman. The vast amount of darkness to the setting of the image, the water on the floor, the steam or mist in the background, the coldness to the neon lights. Very futuristic dark noir. Kris even looks a bit like Sean Young who played the replicant "Rachel" in the movie. The replicants in Blade Runner are discovering they are replicants, that they have false memories implanted in them to make them both seem more human and to better deal with emotions as they develop and in dealing with the inevitable discovery of their preplanned limited life span. But some of the replicants don't deal with that discovery very well and try to fight for a longer existence than that programmed for them. Even if it includes killing humans or overriding any ethical protocols in their programming. They look and act human, but they are not, and all they want is to live their life without the constraints imposed on them by a creator. This in many ways sounds like Kris. She looks and acts like a woman, but is detectable as not "fully" woman. She was created by another (Bella) who is putting constraints on how she can live her life. Bella even has her own "Blade Runner" in "The Cunt" who is more than willing to take out any of Bella's "replicants" who cease to function as Bella desires or who risk revealing Bella's operation. Kris is in a very dark and morally weak place right now. She has given up her oldest and best friend to a fate no one deserves, to save herself and Allen and the life she thinks she sees with him. If she can succumb to Bella's pressure to do this, how much more pressure might it take for her to betray even Allen at some point to save herself? Play Pac-Man with her at your own risk.

And one last observation. I love the Jill Barbarella image. But the "boom box" in that picture is an anachronism. While the first device to be able to record directly onto cassette tape from radio was created in the late 1960's, it did not look much like the "boom box" we all know. The design we know and love did not hit large commercial markets at an affordable price point until the late 1970's and did not reach culture iconic popularity until the 1980's. A historically correct object in its place might be a console "Hi-Fi", a portable turn table for vinyl records with a mono speaker built in, or a transistor radio. The rotary phone is not an anachronism and its red color does try to make a design that went from the 1950's to the 1980's look a little more hip. But for the "mod" esthetic you are going for, I might have gone with a pink or red rotary dial princess phone from that era, or bolder choice, even an Ericsson one piece "Cobra Phone" with the dial on the bottom, in red, white (keeping the monochrome palate somewhat present) or some other bold color of the time! Anyone for "chartreuse"? 😂 The OTN boots are awesome and were in fact worn in Barbarella. Though those were a shorter platform heel. But as I really hate bulky platform heels, your artistic license with the stiletto heel is A-OK with me. 👢 👠 😂 I really feel bad noting all this. I am honestly not trying to dis, throw shade or hate on you. It is just when I see the image, I keep getting distracted by the boom box. I am so sorry! Forgive me!

Emory Ahlberg

Good choice, pe sr! She is stunning in that outfit...

Emory Ahlberg

Great comment, Diana! I didn’t set out to make a dark series, but the headspace I’m in with the writing leaked into the renders for sure. Nikki feels small in the narrative because her agency is gone. I chose that expression to show her internal collapse instead of a playful sexiness that wouldn't fit her reality. I view Jill as a woman who has perfected the art of the customer service smile while her mind is miles away plotting a revolution. Her spark is buried under the deals she has to make with people like Xu. It makes sense that her smile feels like a performance because her entire life is a act at this moment. Valentine’s Day feels like a lie for these women, mostly. These girls are not in a place to celebrate romance because they are busy surviving the consequences of other people's desires! Oh, and I went with that neon noir aesthetic because Kris feels like a person whose memories and reality are at war. I find her capacity for betrayal the most interesting part of her story. Playing games with her is a gamble I wouldn't take!

Oh wow....they all look gorgeous. i'm with Holly though....love old school hollywood glamour :-) x

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Stacy! She certainly looks as if she's enjoying herself. 😊
