First - I'm sorry this is late! I was called into work Friday night and lost a full day of production time. These things happen, but I hate keeping you waiting.

The good news? This one is hopefully worth the wait.

Part 37 is super-sized at 35 panels - about 13 panels longer than a typical episode. A lot happens. I had a specific idea of where this episode needed to end, and I wasn't willing to split it up just to hit a deadline. There are some real revelations in this one that I've been building toward for a while now. I can't wait to hear your thoughts. 😊

Also - stay tuned later this week! I have two videos already finished and ready to go. One will be exclusively for Double Platinum members, and one is for everyone. I'm really excited to share them both with you!

As always, thank you for your patience and your incredible support! They mean so much to me, it's genuinely hard to describe. 💕

OMFG so many things are piling up in such short time... never watched 24 tv series with young Sutherland but here time is measured in milliseconds already and i believe we'll step into nanoseconds soon... do not want to talk about current events cause i do not want to spoil anything... but oh boy... there is so much to discuss about....... OMFG

2026-09-14 23:00 Yeah CONNIE! CONNIE! She hit and won't miss

Looking at Jill in those very personal panels I am sooo emotional... Emory I wish I could hug you so much... F ocean between us ehhh

Gemma

It was heartbreaking to see Jill’s pain. The close up facial expressions and images used throughout this episode are amazing. Again you have left us wondering what will happen. Will Jill’s former brother in law leave her out to dry? Also, what could happen when Hutchinson learns about the latest technology and developments developed by Mr Xu’s team. I suspect that this could play beautifully into his long term political ambitions and the convenient coupling of his son Zach with Nikki. Again, you have left is on a knife’s edge.

Kris Greg

INTENSE! Those rich slimeballs don't know what's abut to hit them. Jill is a pillar of strength, but even the strongest struggle.

Jenny S

I decided to re-read Jack & Jill from beginning to present a few months ago, and realized just how much work was put in to building up to this moment. In the early days of Phase 2 for Jill, we learn that Second Dawn has been delivering subliminal messages through headphones and the books in Jill's library. I wonder, what subliminal messages those might have been, and if some of them were for us. When Dr. Mason delivered the very first injection, he comments that hormonally, "Jack" was like a girl on her period, that she had "the blood of a healthy and *fertile* young woman." In First Interlude, Jill goes outside of the first time since capture and meets Holly at the hot springs, a moment that offers comfort after a terrible physical assault from Davis. Holly has Jill take off her shirt and, in this moment of emotional confusion, compliments Jill's breasts. "You'd make a hungry baby very happy with these girls," she says. In Phase 4, after Jill's facial feminization surgery, Holly takes her to the hills for some voice training and oral sex. After Jill comes for the first time in a long time, Holly brings up how the "sperm factory is shut down for good." With Jill still in that post-orgasm glow, Holly says, "I'd bet you'd make a great mom." That Jill would "make a hell of a MILF." Of course, there was when Jill started lactating in Phase 5. "We could see if anyone knows a hungry baby," Holly remarks. Davis becomes Jill's handler, and when discussing her milk production, Davis asks, "do you want a baby, sissy?" To which Jill replies, "I never wanted children before. But now, I'm not sure." Jill enters a blissful state when she pumps her breasts, she comments how now her body is "being made for something." She says she hates the milk going to waste. In Phase 6, Jill comes to Nikki's rescue during her failed escape attempt. As they make their way to the beach, Holly comments on how Jill has developed a protective, maternal instinct. "When your boyfriend Mason comes back, you'll end up begging him to breed you," she says. Of course, there's the fragment of conversation we get between Mr. Xu and Dr. Dawson at the beginning of Phase 7, something about needing a donor and getting a transplant specialist. I think this is when most of us started catching on, when the theories started percolating, but it's clear that plans were being made long before this moment. Then to drive the point home, Josie enters the scene, and Mr. Xu compares her to a "Neolithic fertility goddess." Later, Holly gets a sperm sample from Jill for some vague analysis. I suppose now we know what project that went into. Later in that same Phase, Jill has a dream of a domestic scene with Mason, dressed and behaving like a housewife. The Jill in this dream is post-bottom surgery. When she wakes up, Jill still feels a yearning for that moment, "to be filled up down there, just like a woman. And to be... to be... I have a terrifying feeling Dream Mason will turn out to be right. I'll end up pleading for a sex-change. And... God, maybe even more, if possible..." What "more" might Jill be referring to? There's probably a hundred more hints I'm missing, and there is much to talk about looking forward (If you decide to do a "first pregnant trans woman" spinoff after Jack & Jill, I want you to know I'm here for it), but I really have to applaud how deep this has gone, how subtle the build up has been, and how perfect of a reveal this is. Bravo, Emory! You've done something amazing. <3

Ashleigh Christina

Omg, one of the girls could be caught and forced through this surgery! They’d be able to get pregnant! Soooooo can I take their place then?

Pet Jeffery

Crikey! I didn't see much of that coming. I'd find it hard to comment without posting so-called spoilers. Three huge developments, this time. The first is Jill's heart-rending reaction. It may amount to an epiphany and change the course of Jack & Jill. Change what it means to be Jill. The second is the revelation that the prize for the winner is to be pregnancy. Before tonight's epiphany, perhaps Jill could have taken that, but now? Jill is surely far too fragile. If Liam wins, that is a hell of a thing. A pregnant man? I've often wondered, as I imagine most transgender people do, how it would be to become fully female. Periods, pregnancy, childbirth. It looks as if one of the contestants is about to discover the answer. And, finally, Connie wrecking tonight's plot, leaving Emily, Josie, and Brooke dangerously exposed. Intent upon killing Xu, Hatcher, Davies, and Jill. Maybe Xu, Hatcher, and Davies deserve to die, but even they are the wrong targets. The right targets would be the audience of billionaires, the people who fund the whole project, the people immune from everything except a bullet. Previous episodes have shown that Xu will be shot, although that may not mean that he's killed. And Jill? Does being the eponymous character grant some sort of immunity?

Kirsten Roberts

This is an incredible episode. It was heartbreaking and then shocking followed by Connie going rogue. Also am I the only one that hopes Jill can be made a complete woman? She deserves it at this point so she can live her life. I’m praying she gets to go home at the end too

Ella Cherry

The tension buildup is starting to pay off, and the answers are definitely not disappointing. And we’re still getting more and more tension! What a season!

Ellen Mellor

That episode was intense. Jill's 'going away' on stage and her silent scream were so well done. Knowing when to drop the text and just let the art do the work is a skill that few profesional comic book writers seem to be able to master - Kieron Gillen and Brian Michael Bendis have got the knack but not that many others - so to see you drop those silent panels just underlines how good a writer you actually are. The revelation of 'the prize' was a real twist. Maybe it's because I've not reread the entire story - I'm saving that for just before the final installment of this Phase so I can really hit that episode hard - but it really came out of leftfield for me. I'm not sure why the bastards in the audience would want it as it adds a certain Russian Roulette aspect to their raping. Which does actually lead me down a very dark rabbit hole which I'm not going to discuss. And Connie appears to be getting ready to use that much-vaunted 'military intelligence' to fuck everything up. Is it incompetence or is it misogyny that allows her to decide that the women she's working with don't know what they're doing?

Ellen Mellor

We need an Emory centred Cuddle Puddle.

Ellen Mellor

An amazing deep dive Jenny. I'm planning on doing the same reread just before the last episode of this Phase. I hope I can pick out all the clues that Emory dropped.

Ellen Mellor

Also, the absolute heartlessness of creating this amazing, world changing technology that could bring hope to millions and the just using it for your own sadistic pleasure. The billionaires really do need to be done away with, both in this story and in the real world.

Reyana

Aww I hope Jill is someday able to get that implant if only so she can perhaps fully embrace the feminine side she has been nurturing.

Jade Diaz

Soledad’s eyes. Jill’s anguish. 💔💔💔

Jade Diaz

Liam continuing to give zero fucks, because of course that’s how he is.

Sam May

Is this the first time we have seen Connor transformed into Connie? I last remember seeing him lying in a hospital bed still bandaged up?

Jenny S

Josie broke him out of the clinic at the end of Part 29.

Omagathief

Ah so it was because Connor everything went to the cr*pper and the whole island became a death trap. Connor you stupid, pigheaded, absolute f**king ass*ole🤬

Claire

Woah! I did not see that coming!

ender8343

Someone was going to ignite this powder keg, but Connie really should reflect on their own actions which led to their current situation and not just blame Jill/Jack for it.

M Fielding

You keep managing to come up with yet another great twist, Emory. As slow reveals go, this is masterful stuff and I don't know who to worry about more. Keep us turning the pages, girl....!

LikeGender

If Jill wins the award, she won't actually win anything; she'll lose the last masculine part she has besides her uterus, in order to become a mother.😱😱😱

Crewchick

Emory, I am blown away. Drama, plot twists, and just WOW!!! Still trying to process and find the words. People have already made some great comments and observations. And Jenny S. Incredible! You pulled all those scenes and lines potentially foreshadowing this very moment faster than AI. As so many have already commented, your art work is both supreme and sublime. But as we saw in "Last Straw" your attention to detail and researching subjects for accuracy and authenticity is second to none. So let me compliment you on the last image of "Col. Connie". Even in lingerie for the first time, she remains true to her training properly holding the M4 in a tactical carry position, weapon at the ready with muzzle toward the ground and finger straight and off the trigger until ready to engage a target and shoot. Safety first, even when about to embark on a homicidal revenge rampage. 😉

Crewchick

So be honest. How many of you scrolled to the last page to look at how she is holding the rifle? 😉 🤪

2026-09-14 23:00 I'm thinking about it but about the genetical artificial uterus. Who else is in the programm? ( only the contestant?) I wonder if Nicky is in the program. It's explain more the Hunchingston diatribe about mariage and having children later.🤔
2026-04-29 08:26

Pet Jeffery

Not me. Actually, I'm surprised to see you describing it as a rifle. I thought it was a machine gun. But I don't know much about guns. And if someone said anything about the M4 to me, I would assume that they meant the motorway from London to south Wales.

Crystal Peaches

Incredible work. Has all the hallmarks of an epic story but at its’ very heart is something profoundly deep and personal

Crewchick

😆😉👍 I hear and under stand you Jeff. Just part of my own unique weirdness. Generally a “Machine Gun” refers to a weapon that when the trigger is pulled continue to fire until released. They also tend to be belt fed (to sustain that constant fire) and crew served (meaning two or more people may be assigned to operate it. A rifle has a grooved barrel to cause the projectile to spin. They also tend to be semiautomatic, meaning each shot or cluster of shots requires a separate trigger pull. This fact is part of the debate in the U.S.,as to what constitutes an “assault rifle” for ban purposes. The “M4” is a military designation for a variant of the M16 with a shorter barrel and collapsable stock (the part you put against your shoulder). These feature would also give it the designation of “carbine”. It’s civilian counterpart is the AR15 which can only fire one shot with each trigger pull, while the M16 and M4 both have a 3 shot “burst” setting to allow 3 shots with one trigger pull. All of these are part of the Armalite family of rifles. My comment about the finger is part of all marksmanship training. A shooter is taught to keep their finger “straight and off the trigger” until ready to shoot in order to reduce the chances of a negligent discharge. They are also taught never to point their weapon at anything they don’t intend to shoot. So generally the weapon is pointed down until in a place or position where there is a high likelihood of encountering a target needing to be shot, or they could be shot at. This knowledge may seem trivial, but it can be a burden watching movies where these rules are’t followed by characters who are supposed of be trained military and law enforcement. Also that thing where they shoot and shoot and shoot and never stop to reload. Or when a person runs out of ammo and they just throw away the gun. Drives me absolutely nuts, like nails on a chalkboard. But we all have our burdens in life. 😉😆

Crewchick

Nolwenn, I had the very same thought. Also, may explain why Xu had so much interest in Nikki's wellbeing back in Texas and asking Jill to go out there after the contest to check on Nikki.

Crewchick

Also, Emory, second to last page, "4th Planet Security Contractors" with the globe and Greek helmet. Nice allusion to Mars, god of war. From Connie's face and the flash forwards we have already seen, I think we are about to see a may lay Mars would be proud of. If pride in all consuming violence can be a thing.

Jenny S

Now I'm imagining the timeline where Xu didn't get shot and all of his plans still play out, and Jill showing up and being all "Hey Nikki, do you mind coming with me to my ultrasound?" and something audibly breaking in Nikki's brain XD

Pet Jeffery

I would rather be addressed as Pet (short for Petal) rather than Jeff. Most of my limited knowledge of guns stems at first or often second hand from films. As neither war films nor westerns are my thing (the Barbie movie was more in my line) the films are mostly from my 1950s childhood. So, in so far as I know about guns, it's mostly ones from the wild west or the Second World War. When I said machine gun I didn't mean one of the big ones with a belt of ammunition like a Vickers Gun. I had in mind something perhaps a little bigger than a Tommy Gun, but not as big as a Bren Gun. I can sympathise with your reaction to film inaccuracies. While I tend to avoid violent films, I'm annoyed when someone fires far more shots than their gun could possibly hold. Similarly, in areas in which I have some real knowledge, mistakes can be agonising. Your mentions of the M4 and M16 lead me to wonder again at the habit of the American military to designate equipment with a letter and a number. I'm more at home with the British habit of giving things actual names, and I find the actual names easy to remember (hence my rolling off the names of the Tommy, Bren, and Vickers Guns). It saved me a bit of head scratching when Emory provided such a clear illustration of the aeroplane in The Last Straw. That enabled me to latch on immediately to the B-17 being the the aeroplane known as a Flying Fortress in Britain. There was a song to the tune of the battle Hymn of the Republic still sung by children in 1950s Britain with the first line: The Yanks are flying fortresses at forty thousand feet The lyrics concerned someone falling out of such a machine without a parachute, and the chorus included: Glory, glory, what a hell of a way to die

Crewchick

My apologies. I will make sure to respect that. I am unfamiliarity the name and thought it some kind of nickname or term of affection. Glad to know your Pet. I can’t explain my interest other to say someone has to be Josie! 😉 Though there are certainly a lot of great female action hero’s who know there way around their weapons. Also the U.S. military now has female infantry soldiers and even female Rangers!

Crewchick

As for the letter-number naming of U.S. military equipment is is strictly inventory control. The M stands for “model the number the version or some times the years of addition of that model. For aircraft the letter usually designates the type, bomber, fighter, attack, etc…

Crewchick

And here is way more info that you may ever really wanted, but I have never been good with brevity. 😜 In U.S. military equipment and weapon designations—such as the M16 rifle—the letters and numbers follow a specific, sequential, and hierarchical classification system. The most important takeaway: The "M" stands for "Model." Here is a breakdown of what the designations mean: 1. The Core Designation: M (Model) M = Model: Adopted around 1925, this designates the official, standardized "model" of a piece of equipment. The Number (e.g., 16 in M16): Represents the sequential development of that specific type of equipment. It is the 16th rifle model accepted under this system. Independent Series: Different types of equipment have their own parallel numbering systems. Therefore, an M1 Garand (1st rifle) and M1 Carbine (1st carbine) are completely different weapons, even though they share the "M1" designation. Wikipedia Wikipedia +4 2. Suffixes and Variants: A and E A = Alteration (e.g., M16A1, M16A2): Indicates an officially standardized modification or improvement to the original model. For example, the M16A2 is the second improved variant of the original M16. E = Experimental (e.g., XM16E1): Indicates a version undergoing testing or modification before being standardized. X = Developmental (e.g., XM4): Indicates the item is in development and has not been officially accepted into mass production yet. 3. Other Common Designators Mk (Mark): Primarily used by the U.S. Navy for "Mark" (their equivalent of Model). For example, the Mk 18 carbine. Mod (Modification): Used with "Mk" to show variants, typically starting at 0 (e.g., Mk 1 Mod 0). GAU (Gun, Aircraft, Unit): Used by the Air Force for aircraft-mounted weapons, such as the GAU-5. Quora Quora +4 Example Breakdown: M16A1 M: Model 16: The 16th rifle model standardized A1: Alteration 1 (The first major improvement, which added the forward assist) Why are some numbers skipped? The M14 was followed by the M16. The M15 was a variant of the M14 that was tested but not widely adopted, so the designation M16 was given to the next successful rifle.

Pet Jeffery

I knew that a lot of American military equipment has been designated with an M followed by a number, but I had no idea that M stands for model. It seems very confusing to me. Might it not have been better to designate rifles as R, carbines as C, and so on? The US Army Air Force did something of that sort with their aeroplanes. B=bombardment, P=pursuit, A=attack, C=cargo, L=liaison.

Crewchick

No one ever accused the U.S. Army of common sense! 😆. Plus it is a system that makes more sense, if not perfect sense, from inside than from out.

Crewchick

I am also starting to wonder if Nikki might be the test subject from the reports. She arrived as a special request Toy. Something that is pretty much a throwaway to Xu that he lets Davis handle. Toys are probably a large pool of test subjects for Clinic 12 because no one cares about them. It might be possible that they tested this thing on Nikki, and she had surprising results. They notice her body's quick response to Mason’s drug and hormone therapy, and her high ratings on the Xu algorithm, and all of a sudden they move her from the toys to a crash course companion. And now Xu is worried about her well-being and wanting to send Jill, the masterpiece of his life’s work, out to Texas to check on Nikki because he is worried about her? Xu has not exhibited worry for any other Toy or Companion who has left Clinic 12. So it begs the question, why Nikki?

SingularCurve

OMG that last panel just brings it all together!!!

Emory Ahlberg

Some more twists and turns to come, Claire! 💕

Emory Ahlberg

"Interesting game. The only way to win is not to play." 😉 Thanks, Pedro!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you!!! 🥰 I still have a few more twists up my sleeve... but we're definitely in the end game now. Thank you so much for sticking with the story all these years!!!

Emory Ahlberg

Jenny is right! Josie recruited Connie to protect Emily while she was transmitting the files. But she seems to have other, more MURDEROUS plans...

Emory Ahlberg

Haha, well Nolwenn, Connie definitely has the military training to back up that fierce strut!

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Reyana! 💕 That revelation really changes the game for all the girls! Aassuming a lot of damage isn't done by Connie's upcoming rampage!

Emory Ahlberg

I can see why you're mad, Omaga! 💖 We'll have to see! But, yeah, Josie specifically told Connie to just grab the bag and get to Emily on the beach. Instead, Connie decided to play action hero in a push-up bra. She's absolutely about to make things ten times worse for everybody...

Emory Ahlberg

Well, I'm so glad you liked it, Singular! 💖 That final shot of Connie stomping down the corridor in her black lace is one of my favorites. She's totally fueled by pure spite and rage right now!

Emory Ahlberg

Aw, thank you so much, Crystal! I really appreciate that. I wanted to make sure Jill's emotional struggle felt super grounded, especially when she had to stand naked on that stage in front of her dad. It breaks my heart seeing her try to hold back tears while Dr. Hatcher treats her like a piece of meat.

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Diana! LOL... Well, you can put an Air Force colonel in thigh-high stockings and a wig, but you definitely can't make them forget basic trigger discipline. 😉 She might be planning to shoot her "brother"-in-law, but she's strictly practicing proper gun safety! lol

Emory Ahlberg

Kris, things are about to get crazy! Or, well, crazier! Jill really held it together up there on stage while Hatcher paraded her around naked - but she has been holding it together for YEARS. I know she's not real, but seeing her finally break down and cry in the green room afterward just crushed me. She's so incredibly tough, but everyone has their breaking point... 💖

Emory Ahlberg

Wow, Gemma, you're totally picking up on all the crazy possibilities! Yeah, it really hurt to write Jill crying after keeping it together for her dad during the showcase. I know she's not real, but I've been with her for so long that she FEELS real, and it crushed me. As for Connie, she's absolutely throwing Josie's plan out the window to go settle her grudge with "Jack" and the others. And your theory about Hutchinson is right... If that creepy Texas oil tycoon finds out about those fully mature uterus implants, it'll definitely make his twisted plans for Nikki and Zach even more messed up!

Emory Ahlberg

I love the speculation! The number referenced in the document - #117 - is Jill's "acquisition number" from Second Dawn.

Emory Ahlberg

Jade, those moments absolutely broke my heart too. 💕 Soledad seeing what a father's real love could look like... And then Jill just losing it backstage... I felt so bad!

Crewchick

OMG Grandpa Hutch??? 😱😱😱🤮

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Ella! 💖 Obviously we've been building up to this Coming Out dinner for a while, so I'm really happy the reveals are hitting the mark. Grab your popcorn!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Kirsten!!! 💕 It's really been heartbreaking writing / watching Jill trying to hold it together for her dad. I'm with you on hoping she finally gets to go back home... But with Connie stomping down the hallway in her lingerie and bandages to shoot up the place, things are about to get super messy! 😬

Emory Ahlberg

I know exactly how you feel, Thomas! Seeing Jill let out that scream was so tough to write. That might sound weird since I'm the one who is "doing" this to her - but I just want to jump right through the screen and give her a giant hug. 💖

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Ellen!!! 💖 I really hoped those silent panels of Jill breaking down in the green room would hit hard without any text. And yeah... of course these billionaires are hoarding miraculous tech. They love controlling every single aspect of these poor girls' bodies for their own sick power trips instead of actually helping people. Same as it ever was.

Emory Ahlberg

Haha, Zoe, I think we all know Connie is about to do exactly that! 💖 Our new girl decided to go full action movie in a wig and corset instead of her mission!

Emory Ahlberg

Lol, Ashleigh, I'm sure Dr. Hatcher would love to have a willing volunteer for once! Actually, maybe not... She's a bit of a psycho. 😉

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Pet. 💕 Poor Jill breaking down was hard to write. But she's been on this hellish ride for four years at this point... and as far as she knows, there's no end in sight. I can't wait for you to see what happens next!

Emory Ahlberg

Oh my gosh, Jenny - what a great breakdown! I'm grinning from ear to ear reading this. Yes, I've been planting these seeds for years. I really thought I was being so sneaky with all those little breadcrumbs, hehe. It's incredibly fun seeing you piece together every single hint I dropped over the years! 💖💖💖
