Wes Kolbeck just wanted to be useful.

He shows up to help his girlfriend Delia prep for her big fashion show - carry boxes, fetch coffee, stay out of the way. He's good at staying out of the way. He's spent his whole life being small and unassuming, and mostly, he's made peace with that.

But when Delia's runway show hits a last-minute crisis, "useful" starts to mean something Wes never anticipated.

I had so much fun writing Wes and Delia's dynamic - it's playful, a little intense, and by the end of Part 1... well, Wes's evening definitely does not go the way he expected!

Part 2 is out in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to read your thoughts! 💕

Very well done Emory. As usual very clever dialogue between the different characters that captures their personalities. Also beautiful are work, especially which captures enormity of change and feminisation that took take place in Wes’s appearance with just a little carefully applied make up.

I wonder whether "the dress of her fabric" should read "the fabric of her dress". The balance of power in Wes and Delia's relationship is interesting. I think that it's the nearest I've seen to consensual BDSM in your work. I look forward to seeing how it'll be affected by Wes' feminisation. An intriguing start with, as always, superb artwork.

Zoe Storm

Absolutely love this. All the characters are the best, but Delia especially. She's great.

That was amazing and really rather hot. I'm amazed that Delia hasn't put Wes into lingerie before now but we all make mistakes. I love the whole 'semi-consensual' feminisation aspect of the story and wish there were more of them rather than full on force femme (which is still good, don't get me wrong but it's nice to have a little bit of variation in the genre of 'boy discovers how great it is being a girl'). I can't wait for part 2 and for the reveal of Wes in the dress. Your teasing it in this episode was perfect. Also, congratulations on the "he's a bit twinky." "Like the cake?" joke. It was *chef's kiss*.

Ellen Mellor

Forgot to say, the cover image is amazing. Possibly my favourite one yet.

Thomas Tolliver

Very curious how this will shake out and how far he will go. Just cross dressing? More full feminization? I'm interested.

Jenny S

Excellent! The dance of things unsaid is as enticing as always, very much looking forward to part two! <3

SteveP

Love the story and the artwork, as always. And the Al Hirschfeld-style cover is equally amazing.

Emory Ahlberg

I’m so glad you like it, Steve! ❤️ I know it’s hard to tell these days, but I made the cover with my Wacom. I have a bit of a background in graphic design.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank youuu. Can’t see what these two get up to next time. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Thomas! Things will certainly progress on Part 2. How far things go may depend on how much more patrons would like to read! ❤️

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks so much, Jenny! I really loved the interplay between them. Delia is a force to be reckoned with, but I think she adores Wes in her own way.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Zoe! Delia was so so damn fun to write!

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Pet! And yeah, that’s a typo. Oops! And I really enjoy exploring their balance of power. Although it seems like Delia has is in total control, I think Wes is certainly intk the dynamic. Also, maybe he will find the power of his own soon!

SteveP

I hope you didn’t think I was implying that AI was involved! Nothing of the sort!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Gemma! 💕The dialogue was a lot of fun to write between everyone - and makeup can really be magical!

Emory Ahlberg

Oh my goodness! I legitimately forgot Hirschfeld's first name is "Al" and on my browser AI and Al look exactly the same! 🤣 Thank you for clarifying, Steve! 💕

SteveP

🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Roz Milner

I liked this a bunch, it’s cute and very fun

Jade Diaz

I’m actually fascinated by Rosalind in this story. How did she get connected to this fashion house?

Alex Cioranic-Alex From the Tri-Cities

Blue-haired girlfriend...she's reminding me of a younger Dr. Elizabeth Hatcher MINUS the repressed, untreated psycho-sexual trauma the curdled into a cold, monstrous hate of all men. Dr. Hatcher is the ultimate female embodiment of "Are you strong enough to point that high-powered perception at yourself? What about it? Why don't you look at yourself and write down what you see? Or maybe you're afraid to."

Could I trouble you for an epub, the text is too small on a phone

Emory Ahlberg

I'm actually working on that today! Trying to learn how to do them. 💕

Jerome B

I absolutely love this story and it's characters. It has so much potential and I'm sure part 2 will be phenomenal. I can't wait.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Jerome! 💕 As you can probably tell, they were A LOT of fun to write about. I also agree they have a lot of potential... maybe even more than two parts!

Emory Ahlberg

You know, that's a really good question. I love her, too. I feel like she's a cast-off from a bigger fashion house that downsized or something.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Roz! 💕 That means a lot to me. More to come, as well!!!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Ellen! 💕 LOL - I'm sure this is not the first time that Delia has considered how good her boyfriend would look in one of her "garments." 😉

Nice cover, beautiful images, and a story vibrating with its own unique frequency. Delia is like a big river, unbothered and moving slowly and deliberately. Wes is a strange object swept by that river, lost when he's not carried by the current. But his hidden strength is doing nothing. Science says: "Intentionally doing nothing can boost creativity, reduce stress, enhance mindfulness, and improve overall mental well-being." Being put in a dress may push him even more into that mindful state. I wonder if his creativity will be boosted enough as a result to let him discover new self going forward. More, please, and thank you ☺️

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Annette! 💕 I really really love your description of Delia! And also of Wes. I wonder if maybe he will find a new strength by being carried along in her current? More coming!
