A three-hour tour...

We're close to the end of Phase 8 now. Almost everyone will soon arrive on the island. But what will await them? Do they really stand a chance against Mr. Xu and Second Dawn?

smh, Jill’s dad, failing to do the research before getting on the boat to hell. Learn to say the devil’s name before you bow to him, dude. I already love this girl who can’t keep her mouth shut. Especially given how bad she is at, like, *gestures to the whole scenario* Holly looking fucking cracking. A guy might be about to lose his freedom and/or mind, but Holly’s serving and that’s all that matters. She’s incapable of love BUT SHE’S SERVING. Also, holy crap, Angela looks great. Returning to my earlier point, I’ve only known Brooke for ten pages but if anything happens to her… [insert brooklyn 99 meme here] I feel like Jill and Holly have learned from each other. Ah, I think I'm going to enlarge Jill's picture on page 18 and make it my screen wallpaper; I love her! ❤️ This party is going to get interesting. I can feel the tension building up and all hell breaking loose at the end. There are a lot players in one place at the same time and that may not work the way Xu envisions it.

Wow, Emory, this is heating up...slow simmering but it's already starting to see some little bubbles... As I posted above, you're already taking a while to give us context on Brooke hehe.😊 I think you have endless material to work with in the Second Dawn Universe, because every time you introduce us to a new character, you make our teeth grow long! - By the way Brooke is beautiful.😍 How interesting it would be to know more about the "toys" and "companions", their training, their choice, the power struggles between the 2 groups.... HIT & Coven. As for your question of who will be the final winner, I would have 2 answers: 1. What do I think will happen? Right now I'm inclined to think that Mr. Xu will win, he has repeatedly shown us that he is always 2 steps ahead of everyone else, but... 2. Who do I want to win? Well, this question seems to have an easy answer... but it does not. I mean, if this were real life, obviously I would want Mr. Xu and his acolytes to be fucked to death and if possible, by the hand of his victims and suffering the same treatment but elevated to the nth degree and ending with the whole organization of Second Dawn. ...But this being a wonderful FICTION story, I would not like Second Dawn to disappear... although obviously there would have to be improvements -a Second Dawn 2.0- I would like the end of the battle to conclude in a victory for Jill, Holly and company... but that Mr. Xu, would become their ally, and they would direct Second Dawn towards other interests: now the targets would be all those perverts, thugs, rapists, murderers etc... The rest I would leave in your skillful hands and brilliant head Emory, so that you can keep us hooked to your wonderful art and addictive stories.😘

Thank you, Skye! Yes, I think Josie may actually give Jill a run for her money in the contest. 🤣 And yes! It seems like Jill's dad has been lured away by the promise of an "eccentric" billionaire who claimed to be able to help him find his son and daughter. Technically, Mr. Xu isn't lying. 😉

Jill will be trying her hardest to win the contest to save both Adele and Ryan, while the others will be trying to collect video to bring the whole thing down. Hi Emory, just quick feedback on how cute and adorable Brooke looks. You have given her a nice figure and very pretty face. You have a great eye and talent and surpass yourself with each new character you introduce. I particularly love how attractive and cute Brooke looks in image 6.

Mr. Larson learns that Xu is very secretive person, especially his Second Dawn.

Holly shocked about Jill being a natural handler reminds a couple of chapters about Janelle was telling Emily that the Jack, she knew, will not be same person that she remembered due being under the influence of Xu. Since the beginning of the story, Xu has been molding Jack/Jill slowly into his natural handler. Through Dr. Mason's formula, subliminal messaging, Holly's influence, blackmailing, and personal information, it starts molding the modalities of a person. Despite Jill being a strong, confident, caring, and smart woman, overtime she been "accepting" Xu' s gifts, like going to the mainland and being promoted to being his best Handler and his "new and improve" Holly. In the later part of the eighth chapter, she starts to refer to her formal identity (Jack) as somebody else and being appropriate around Xu.

The "jaw drop to the floor" will be long enough that I think first word probably Jill will say... Hard to say if Emily will be conscious enough to say anything to her newborn sister... For Emily "the blossoming" will be so dazzling that she will need some time to be able to speak up I think... And... Definitely it will be Jill who first will recognize Emily at first sight right? Emily doesn't have a clue how Jack looks right now she only knows she's not looking like Jack anymore... 😁😅❣️

Poor Gina doesn't have access to Amazon on the island so it's hard to return workout clothes when they dont' turn out to be quite what you ordered. 😉 And poor Brooke, too! She really is barely holding it together. Lots of pressure on the poor (new-ish) girl. I enjoyed Holly's interaction with her because she hasn't had a nice speech in a long while. Holly was Jill's rock for a reason, and I her to have a chance to shine again... for as long as she can...

Aww, thank you, ckarya! I always love your detailed, thought-provoking responses. I'm definitely taking my time to introduce Brooke and her backstory, as you've noticed. As for the other characters in the Second Dawn Universe, I'm fascinated by the complexity of the relationships between them, and I'm excited to explore them further. Your thoughts on the "toys" and "companions" training and power struggles are also something I'm always interested in exploring. It's funny you mention the power struggle between the Toymakers and the Coven, because that has been on my mind, as well. The Xuniverse is pretty big - sometimes I think TOO big - so it's a matter of choosing which stories to tell. As for the final victor. You're right, that's a difficult question. I only hope everybody finds it as satisfying as possible! It's hard to believe this story has been so long in the making already... 💖

Yeah, I'm really getting excited for all the action that will come in the later stages of the comic. Phase 8 is concluding, and Phase 9 will be as exciting as ever! Either things will go very right for our protagonists... or very wrong. 😉 Either way, it'll be a wild ride!

Thank you, Tiki!!! Good point about Jack/Jill and how much she has been molded by Xu. I think you're accurate in that he (and inadvertently Holly) has been slowly conditioning her to become his perfect handler for some time now. Holly will be leaving Second Dawn - retired by Xu - so he definitely needs somebody new to fill her place in the organization... Of course, it's both a blessing and a curse for Jill. Being closer to Xu's inner circle, she'll be able to protect people and maybe even exert influence over Second Dawn. On the other hand, it places her in a precarious moral position. How much of Xu's orders and commands will she be able to disobey, without facing consequences? How slippery is the slope of compromise?
