The spotlight is on Sandy and Mrs. Ferris this time as they confront the ghosts of their past and the painful truths of their present. Meanwhile, Second Dawn shadow looms over everything...

What if Josh did expose Second Dawn and their secrets? That would be an interesting alternative timeline story. I know there are the pinups of female Josh, but this story can be expanded in different captions called Jack and Jill: Side Dawn/Infin-Dawn.

“It’s easy not to miss something you never had.” Wow. There’s a whole life in that sentence. The revelations in this chapter are shocking and turn the whole story upside down. The next couple of episodes are going to lead us into the very heart of darkness. I never stint in my praise for your art skills, Emory, but your writing and plot development are simply beyond compare. If you were to write novels you’d be the Patricia Highsmith of TG fiction. When it comes to darkness and invention the only other author and artist on TGC who comes close is the estimable Ms Comet.

As usual I am blown away by your ability to weave different threads of this enthralling, beautiful story together. You take the reader from hating Mrs Ferris to feeling deep compassionate for her. I know she has destroyed any possabilty for Scott/ Sandy to ever be a male and this alone you would think would lead to her not being redeemable. Somehow you pull it off. Maybe Sandy’s lack of any real protest as well as her always wanting to, needing to feel a sense of connection and belonging have lead to these two broken lives seeming to be moving towards completing each other. Who knows? Maybe there is yet another twist in the plot that again shifts the readers changing allegiances and sympathies once again?

Josh would be in for a hell of a time. As Mortimer warned, he'd never actually succeed at exposing Second Dawn. They're too powerful. Xu doesn't generally have people killed - it's messy and inefficient - but Josh would likely be ruined for life.

Finally, Sandy will know the truth behind the bars on those windows that she first wondered about in MAID FOR LIFE... And once she knows the truth, where will she go from there? ❤️

Thank you, Gemma! ❤️❤️❤️ Mrs. Ferris and Sandy's relationship is a complicated one, and the twists aren't finished yet... Mrs. Ferris offered Sandy a chance (back when she was 'Scott'), which sort of went off the rails when Mortimer purposefully upped the estrogen dose. And yet, this also allowed Sandy to finally explore a side of herself she'd never even knew existed. Does that mean what Mortimer / Mrs. Ferris did was 'right'? Not even close, as Mrs. Ferris even admits in this episode. But this may be the first step in some sort of true reconciliation between them...

sorry i’ve been gone for a minute emory!!!! absolutely wonderful chapter and i’m glad im catching up now!!! gosh i feel so bad for sandy having to learn everything out of heartbreak :( secrets are a hard thing especially when the goal is to NOT hurt someone! i hope these two figure everything out and josh takes that warning to heart! also, absolutely gorgeous work on the art!!!! gosh those pictures at the end look absolutely phenomenal!!! you amaze me every time even when i think i couldn’t be awed anymore by your wonderful work
