It's not like Josh was hiding his uncomfortableness with the whole situation. Hitting him with the outfit is really asking for trouble. Sometimes an incremental approach is better - a clean apt, nice food and leave it at that for now.

OMG, Sandy, how did you misread the situation. What an mis step wearing the maids outfit. I see how you have prepared and protected us all from Josh’s reaction. A slow and steady accidental glimpses and reveals. Would be the way to go. I was pleased, however, for Nick to get a mentioned and I love the description of Nick as ‘ a delicate thing.’ Can’t wait for Nicks next appearance. Also have knot in my stomach in anticipation for next episode and interactions between Sandy and Josh. I am beginning to learn not to prepare for the unpredictable. Thanks Emory again for another exciting set up to the next chapter.

When Sandy accused Josh of being a Boy Scout, that’s exactly what he becomes when he’s dealing with the Sandy rather than Scott persona: very protective. And it makes him lose his street smarts so that Sandy comes to the rescue of both of them. She’s the one who’s lived through all the horrors and survived, after all. And she recognises that survival means not taking on Second Dawn, but escaping their reach if at all possible, and that she has to teach Josh that lesson. As for the French maid outfit, while on the surface she sees it as a light-hearted bit of fun, what she says in the last frame betrays what’s been subliminally going on ever since she came back into Josh’s orbit. But playing with fire? Absolutely. Great piece of plot with art to match, Emory. xx

Thank you, Gemma! Sandy flew to Boston with the intention of reuniting with Josh and then - you know - REALLY reuniting with Josh. She's hoping to salvage their (albeit brief) fling, praying this little stunt may erase from Josh's mind the fact that she was forced into being a girl. I mean, looking at her in that maid costume, what red-blooded man (or lesbian) could resist? 😉 Plus... PIZZA!

Thank you so much, Robert! I'm glad you're enjoying it. 😊 Sandy has been through a lot and is still trying to make sense of her new identity. She's trying to get Josh to see that she's still the same PERSON that he was starting to fall for - even if what happened to her body isn't what she would've chosen. And you're absolutely right about Josh, too. With Sandy, he goes into protective mode - but sometimes that can make him a bit reckless. And his emotions about her are currently scrambled, so that doesn't help either.

Yep! Sandy is trying to get Josh to see her as she is now - not as the person she was forced to become - but she also wants him to be attracted to her (which he was / is) even if she was forced into this new form.

I get Sandy’s intentions, but, there are many ways to subtlety Josh’s ‘red blooded’ desires. A few ‘sneak peeks’ at her new form to reawaken and enable his ‘red blooded’ desires overwhelm his cognitive dissonance. Unfortunately Sandy, in her impatience, had not learnt the feminine art of the ‘slow dance’ in which ‘the man thinks’ he is leading (the one who had driven what happened).

ironically, Sandy is NOT a product of second dawn, but of Mrs Ferris. She was never on Xu's island. Unlike Nick, a macho athlete on his was to he-manly glory, Josh could very well have been on his way to life as a prison bitch. Her(?) physical and emotional relationship with Josh developed naturally while they were living together as friends. After their second kidnapping and more lifestyle/body changes ,(s)he was released to return to what seemed like a more "normal" lifestyle and relationship to her. It is different to Josh now that he is aware of second dawn. josh sees sandy as a victim of SD, a friend forced into something they didn't want. Sandys feeling for him are real, I think. I am not sure Josh knows what he thinks or feels at this point, but he now sees Sandy as a victim. Her attempt to return to a simpler time is probably poorly timed but very understandable. fine writing!

Yay Em this is by far my fave story ever. I am loving the gay angle, I really want these two to get it on like crazy, I hope Josh can accept his attraction to a sissy and that Scott can accept his role as one. This is delicious! Looking forward to the development of Nick’s arc as well. It’s very cool to have a story that explores the homoerotic element more explicitly, super hot and deep. Pun intended. Keep up the consistently brilliant work! Xx

Thank you! Yeah, Josh is having trouble understanding why "Scott" isn't screaming his head off about going to a doctor to getting as much reversed as possible. What Josh saw about Second Dawn disgusted him. Not because he isn't attracted to trans girls (he obviously is), but because those were men being forced into bodies they didn't want. He explicitly asked Sandy if where was a girl. She said no, and now that's stuck in his head. They both need to work on their feelings.
