Mark

Should be great. Interested in how he creates his drums and percussion. How much is sample based? Cutting up loops etc. how does he do it specifically.

Aaron Edwards

Is there a deciding point or factor as to whether or not a song you compose is going to be an instrumental or feature a vocalist? Also, At what point do you consider something you are working on to be "finished"?

Axel Drioli

I would love to know his creative trigger and what he follows to finish the track, like Aaron says

Alex

Similar to what Mark said above, would love to know his process/techniques he uses for drums and how he makes the 4/4 clubby stuff feel natural and organic.

Mark Kuznetsov

Hey Kieran, was wondering about the influence of your Indian side in your music. Every now and then you hear stuff that could sound like they're from Bollywood movies and such (eg. morning side and two thousand and seventeen kinda). I think it's really creative the way you weave them in and I'd love to hear more in the future. (PS. my best friend Natasha is half Indian and she might just be your biggest fan, if you could say Hi that would mean the world to her <3)

Nick Webb

What has he learnt from Skrillex and Fred Again? What does he think would be the best change that most producers could make to write better music?

Nick Yorko

Would love to hear his mindset when it comes to overproducing, and shaping an idea into its clearest form.

Cailan St Martin

One reason that your live shows are so engaging is that you aren't bound to any genre - you'll bounce from punk rock to Selena Gomez to drum n bass and everything in between. How much of your setlist do you decide ahead of time, vs choosing songs on-the-fly based on the energy in the room?

Alnath

Hi everyone, I would like to ask Kieran: What do you think about Latin electronic music? Congrats on “Volver” with Tainy. It’s an amazing and disruptive piece. I love it! Thanks, TN Family and Kieran. Cheers! : )

Josh Thomas

Hey, what’s your least favourite synth?

B. C. Slumber

I wrote a thesis about Kieran’s ability to sample emotion and personal memories into his works (primarily in the New Energy and Sixteen Oceans period) I would love to hear his thoughts on that concept these days and if similar ideas influenced ‘Three +’

I HAVE WAY TOO MANY QUESTIONS FOR A QUESTION

grova

I would LOOve to get his thoughts on making music with an intention vs making music in the moment. Are they different or are they the same? Is there almost always both? Idk if thats a question chalked up to "whatever works for you" but i'd love to hear his thoughts. I'm a newer Four Tet fan but i've been obsessed with his music since I came across him in the last 2 years. To me he's a real definition of a musician as a producer/dj 💙💙

Tyler Smith

my q for kieran my friends and i debate to what extent electronic musicians must be competent mixing engineers to fully realize their music. wonder what da boi’s take on that is

Earl Carlson

How does he know when something has potential? When a track gets raised from a jam or from playing to something that should end up on a release?

Earl Carlson

Additionally would love for him to dive into daughter for a breakdown of what inspired it, how it came to be, and how something so personal ended up on the album.

James Ennis

Hey! I'm curious about how you put away time to create as an artist the older/more successful you get, the more life around you builds? Do you put pressure on yourself to always be writing/working? Or do you go in waves and just not worry about long periods of not being creative?

Javier Jalandoni

Do you have any tips/tricks for coming up with unique grooves? I'm also curious how you often you are listening to music on the daily! It seems like you breathe music more than air haha

Nick Yorko

Curious about his balance of creative productivity and personal life, how do the two cross or repel each other?

Dominic Shyra

He's been making music forever, I am curious what has changed since he started that excites him and what, in the current trajectory of music, excites him for the future. Like working with newer generations suchs a fred again? or the technology or maybe something else.

Sebastiaan van Ravenhorst

what is your approach to selecting ideas during the writing/production process? I sometimes have a hard time deciding when I'm making songs if I should solely keep working on this one song in front of me until it's finished, with risk of fatigue or getting bored of the idea, or spend the time more evenly on different songs at the same time, and maintaining a flow of coming up with new ideas every day. thank you!

Matthew Dekay

Really curious to hear about what he puts on his master buss if any? is there a certain chain? more in depth what his favorite plugins are on the mixing side of things rather than soft synths. Thank yoU!

waddup92

Any update on when this will be released?

Albert Jiang

any tips on beginning to cultivate a sample library? how do you curate and how do you organize?
