First of all, having St Vincent on the show is beyond whatever the top is. I'm kind of new to her but Daddy's Home and the collaboration with David Byrne are among my top 20 records. Not to mention her production work with Slater Kinney (pronounciation?). First Q of many to come: what inspired her colab with David Byrne? Who was responsible for the general sound of the record?

2) Daddy's sounds a bit like Nikka Costa records. Any connection there? Very seventies.

It also sounds very Jon Brion inspired at times. Any chance of them getting together?

Klemen Kotar

Right! Double high fives back to you for basically every show you do/did! I've listened to maybe a good half of them. Treasure trove! Very well done, too!

3) Jack Antonoff seems to bring the best out of others and vice versa. I think he's much stronger collaborator than solo artist. What's the dynamic there?

4) John Congleton vs Jack Antonoff - highly respectfully, of course - what are the differences when working with one or the other (both being amazing at what they do)?

5) Vocal FX on Daddy's Home, whose idea were they, what was the inspiration behind them? Goes for vocal arrangements as well.

6) That sitaresque sound works really well. Is it electric guitar through the sitar emu or something else?

Many view you as our generation's David Bowie; notable for reinventing yourself with every album. What are some sonic textures/genres that you feel you haven't covered yet, and would like to delve into in your future work?

How do you approach arrangement? What do you add to choruses or leave out as opposed to verses? Do you have certain set methods you use when you approach different sections of the song?

What does the process of discovering the theme/persona or territory you want to dive into on a new record look like? Do you have an overarching idea charted before or do you uncover it during?
