Changes to Welcome Pack

There will be no more past release miniatures added to the Welcome Pack every month. Currently, the Welcome Pack is set to 54 past-released miniatures.

Loyalty Rewards

Patron Commission models will no longer be added as Loyalty Rewards. The only exception is the July Patron Commission Model, which was announced before this change; therefore, I will keep it as it is.

I will continue to add content to the Welcome Pack and Loyalty Rewards, but updates will happen less frequently and will no longer follow a monthly schedule.

Sharing My Thoughts

This wasn’t an easy decision to make. I gave it a lot of thought, but I’ve realized that things can’t continue the way they are—something needs to change.

When I decided to sculpt miniatures for my job and created Imagine Minis, I had a goal and a dream. I have always wanted to grow, invite more people to work with me, and offer you, my supporters, even more at an affordable price. Miniatures are an awesome Hobby, and as such, I believe that they should be affordable.

Right now, Imagine Minis isn’t at risk of shutting down (so no, I’m not job-hunting), but things aren’t exactly thriving either. It’s… just fine. Some months I can cover everything, and other months I can’t. As a self-employed artist, income is unpredictable, and unfortunately, it doesn't always reflect the time and effort I put into my work as a sculptor; it's dependent on sales and subscriptions.

As a Job, I can't complain, it's awesome! I can work whenever I want, the time I want, right?
lol no! This is valid for me and anyone with a job; we have to be responsible and do what's best for our work. In my case, I'm my boss and I'm always watching... lol.

If Imagine Minis is fine and the job is awesome, what's the problem?

I have to reduce the number of months that Imagine Minis is on the "Red", to ensure that it can stay until it succeeds.

I don't want to raise prices. I still believe in offering great value with an affordable price, and I want to stick to that principle. So instead, I’m adjusting something that has a smaller impact on subscribers: the Welcome Pack and Loyalty Rewards.

These rewards will still be available, but updated less frequently and no longer on a monthly basis. You’ll still receive a Welcome Pack when you subscribe, and Loyalty Rewards will still be given, but it will just be in a more contained size.

One of the biggest reasons for this change is the math: Every month, I sculpt 1 Patron Commission and 3–4 additional miniatures. That’s around 5 models per month. A new subscriber could potentially get 2 of those by subscribing at any time, regardless of when those minis were made. I think that’s pretty cool, but it doesn’t translate into new subscribers or their retention, but it can be translated into 2 miniatures that I could have sold.

Over the years, I’ve made changes to keep going: I moved from MiniHoarder to MMF, I started selling Patron Commission models as requested, and I created Tribes. All of those decisions helped push things forward, and I believe this new one will help a bit too.

I could have just made this a short, direct announcement—but I like to be transparent. I wanted to share my thought process, and I appreciate you taking the time to read all this.
