Armored Baby Elekk (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

Today I have finished the Armored Baby Elekk, he will be Kahled Pet. He is compatible with a 25.4mm base, in the render I used Dirt1A 25.4mm, already on google drive.

Just supported my version and sent it to the printer.

I have left the Armor plate on his shoulder so that people can paint or add their banners.

I will be uploading him to Google Drive after I finish this post.

About Kahled: Reading some feedback on the modular Draenei Topic I have decided to add a Tentacle version of Him, I won't be testing all because I simply don't know what to do with so many Kahled's in my life lol (so I will be printing 2 versions of him, one without the tentacles and another with the tentacles). 

I will probably publish both on Sunday.

Next week there won't be any official release I will be working on Modular Draenei and Mount. I will wait for a little to release them because I want the modular to also go in the saddle and I have to make it together so they can fit nicely. As soon as I test print one I will upload it on Google drive.

Nice Ivo, thanks. I had a request from someone I was talking to about these modular Draenei to make some armour recognisable from the game. I haven't played it properly so not sure if this means much to you :)

I initially was intending to make Warcraft inspired not a 1 on 1 replica, because of copyright and etc fear. I suppose i can squeeze 1 or 2 very close models.

I did played wow during cataclysm and Mist of Pandaria. I am a fan of the art but don't know much about the lore (I am the guy that skips dialogs just to get in the fight) and i don't like much of the gameplay today (Right now I don't like auto target. I am more like Diablo, Dark soul or Dragon's Dogma, those kind of games).

Yeah I wondered about copyright. I’m sure ‘close enough’ would be close enough :) I’m also a huge fan of Diablo and Dark Souls. Can you make some Dark Souls minis? ;)

Sure, i can add some after the elves or you could ask during the next commission. I just don't like to model some grotesque or bizarre creatures, but i guess i could do it.

I wondered about copywrites also, but my3dprintforge released wow trolls with straight up Horde logos on them. I dont think Blizzard would bother you, they have bigger fish to fry and are currently in pretty bad shape.

But even still there are merchants that sell my printed models and they probably won't be that comfortable with it... I don't know

that makes sense! But big Patreons like RNEStudio release things like "Witcher Contract" Where 90% of sculpts are direct rip offs of those properties. I honestly think that as long as you dont use the term "Draenei" which might be copyrighted, you will be fine. I am definitely not trying to encourage you to do something you dont want to, just throwing 2 cents in the hat.

It's not that i don't want... I really would love to. It would reduce my sculpting time (probably because i would not have to concept) it is just that i fear. I don't know how RNestudio does but yeah they are the same characters from other companies. I guess i could do it and if there is problem i could change the model

Looks great! If it helps clear things up regarding copyright and the like, this is basically the equivalent of fanart since these are all designs and not being individually sold as merchandise of X intellectual property. I think letting anyone who wants to paint their own banner on the armor plate is the right move anyway, it allows us all to get creative with our prints and perhaps even give our eleks different symbols based on their service! Awesome model again, looking forward to whats next.
