Hello everyone!

Update December 18th

And done! Finished the Fallen Prince. I have managed to position the sword in a different way so I added modular hands to him. I am managing the files, soon I will do supports and should be printing him tonight and he should be cleaned tommorow.

Update December 17th

We are almost there! Made a simple block for the hood. I will now Sculpt the Sword and start posing. After posed I will finish the Hair and redo the Hood. The next update will be printed... I expect to print him on late Saturday.

Update December 16th

Added details on the boots, gloves, leather pants, and sculpted some skulls.

Today I will be finishing kneepads, chest, and shoulder, if there is time I will start sculpting the Sword.

I still haven't decided the pose for him.

Update December 15th

I started to add detail to some pieces of armor. I decided to start with the Tight armor and gloves.

I wanted to give him a bad health look so I pushed the side of his mouth in, to look like someone that does not eat well (starting to decay).

Looking at him all the time I can't stop thinking about him as a Death metal singer doing cosplay, I even thought of making him pose with a Runned Axe guitar lol but this will be a tale for another time...

I will sculpt some skulls to add to him.

-End of Update-

I have blocked the main shapes with simple shapes to plan my sculpting time.

For this model, there are a lot of missing spots in the cinematic reference so where I don't have references I will pick from other places.

All the black innermost armor will be replaced by Chainmail or scale mail (on the arms).

I have made a few decisions over the request. For the Chest armor, I have added some side and top cuts, making a single piece of chest armor would be without a doubt hard to wear or even be impossible to move, in-game it works just fine, of course making a 32mm miniature is also a game but I try to add a bit of realism or something that makes sense (to me at least).

On the Belt, I will probably add a cut in the back and add some straps to hold him in place.

On the boots, the brown piece will be fur and I will place some straps to hold the metal plate and kneecap in place.

From what I have seen he is wearing a leather glove with some plating on the side and also an elbow protector, the dark brown will be replaced by fur.

Regarding the model, he will have 2 versions Hood and Unhood. I haven't decided if there will be a customizable part to remove using 3d app since the cloak and shoulders are really close to each other almost as they could be a single piece.

I will update this post as I move along with the development.

Best regards,

Ivo

Looks lovely! You are a beast Ivo! And obviously the best! 🤗

Fraser

My son, the day you were born, the very forests of Lordaeron whispered the name Arthas.

Kristian

Right you are! Haven't even seen that one yet.

Jan P.

I'd also like to ask... are you planning to do the version with "the" Helmet? :)

Imagine Minis

Sure! The most classic pose would be the one sitting on the throne but it would only make sense with the throne (which is out of the question) so I guess the pose you are referring to are 3:01 or 1:41. The one at 1:41 it's awesome but I think for a miniature It would stay way out of the base since he is a monster and wields a 2 handed sword with one hand lol.

Imagine Minis

No, I'm not but, I could do it later on. I want to finish only the request without adding too much so that I can try and sculpt one last miniature before I start doing Renders and promotion material. Since the request was a Hood and unhooded, from my understanding of the request it's at the exact moment where the prince returns to speak with his father. Adding a variation with the helmet I could do it In January or after I finish this month's requests.

Jan P.

Yup, 1:30 or 1:41 as continuation of that shot. I have one "Knight of death" that's in that exact pose, and its not that bad - sure, the sword is almost entirely out of the base dimensions, but the centre of gravity is still OK. 3:01 is more... manageable, but IMHO less epic.

Jan P.

I think we'd need an entire month dedicated to the fallen knights... A. on the throne, A. stabbing his father diorama, Helm, Belf and Human DKs... and some ghouls!

Imagine Minis

I won't have those because those are CR item's and I can't place them in the store for sale but I can make them as Fan Sculpts for Patron Commission. The closest thing as DK goes is the second part of the Darkest Night, where Vampires destroy a village and our main character adventures in the Frozen lands in search of power. There he will meet a female Lich (Have no idea how to do this bones have no female Silhouette) and some skeletons knights.

Regarding pose: option a) menacing stride with Frostmourne in hand. As he was in the Lordaeron throne room before murdering his father Option b) Or alternatively a “commanding stance”. left arm pointing forward and Frostmourne in the right hand pointing downward. As in ordering his undead minions to advance.

Wow Ivo! Lovely work! 🤗

Fraser

Wooooow! This looks fantastic man!

Fraser

Oh fuck I just realised there are 2 poses as well! <3

Imagine Minis

Oh no, there is only one pose, 2 body options, hood and without hood but the sword stance gives a feeling of 2 poses

Fraser

Oh damn you're right! Ivo that is masterful sculpting mate, I totally thought that was 2 completely different poses!

Kristian

Knocked this one out of the park, great job! Love what you did with the pose(s).
