Hello everyone!

Yesterday I received my new LCD screen for the printer. I watched the LCD changing video a thousand times and when I started to change I realized it was nothing like that lol.

Since I sometimes apply too much force and some things break, when doing maintenance I have a code to apply less force (if I do need force then it's probably wrong). In the video, everything worked smoothly and so it should on my end, but it was not working out.

I checked many times and I decided to apply a bit more force to remove the old LCD, it shattered (for a moment I froze but then I realized I wouldn't be using this anyway, so why should I care? Right?). The difference between the video and my case is that they placed a double tape holding the LCD in place and it's kind of impossible to remove it in one piece afterwards.

While inspecting the machine I discovered that there was a glass underneath the LCD (surprise), this glass was a mess with moisture... I searched everywhere on how to clean this glass. I tried to apply a bit of force to remove it but it was not moving an inch. After exhausting my research I decided to apply a bit more force and it came out. The glass was being held in place by another 2 sided tape. With it out I cleaned it, put it back, then the LCD, and finally, closed the printer.

Since it was a new LCD I calibrated the Z axis. While doing maintenance I decided to also change the FEP (you know, like a fresh start).

With that done it's now time to calibrate the resin once more (it was recommended by some YouTube video)

Today I will be working with sculpture and printing some calibrations.

Best regards,

Ivo
