Weekly Developer Log #10: Ship Builder Kickstarter (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone!
I know that even though the title says, weekly I missed last week's Developer log and the other one before that, I will try to keep things at a steady pace to make sure this project is able to see the light of day.
If you missed the last developer log, here's the link: Weekly Developer Log #9: Ship Builder Kickstarter | Patreon
What have I done since the last post?
I replaced most of the tiles on the floor with newer and textured tiles, this was done so that I could see how every piece would fit together.
After I was done placing the tiles I made a block of the pieces required for the first wall of the hull and took it to Zbrush where I sculpted the details, After it was done, I brought them back to Blender. The second Image shows the details on the Midsection top wall.
After the Wall was placed on Blender I realized 2 things: 1) I missed adding holes for the connectors or else everything might be out of place once assembled. 2) I missed adding the plating that separates the Top and midsection of the Hull. Adding the division between the top and midsection of the ship is important in case I wish to make it into a box, this is supposed to be the lid.
What I will do Next?
After adding the steps that I missed, to me the most logical thing would be moving to the tip before moving down.
That's it for this update, it was short but it did take some time to make that piece. I'm glad you guys suggested I work on a separate project, I can't imagine the amount of cuts that I would have to make on this project just to make it fit in the initial idea.
Best regards,
Ivo
