Hello everyone!

I have been using Conjure Sculpt resin for a bit now and, I talked to the representative and this was a single shipment deal. Therefore I need to start considering my options from here on.

I will start talking about price in Reais (Brazillian coin, which is currently what I use to buy resin), take the coin type out of the equation, and treat it as a number to make things simple. Just for a simple consideration 5 Reais = 1 USD.

Previously I was using National brands here in Brazil but they are getting way more expensive than buying other brands, even though I like the idea of supporting them, my current budget does not allow me to.

I'm considering this change because I need to prepare myself to print the Ship at some point, my idea was to use cheap resin because if it falls on the ground it will shatter regardless of the resin used (the thing will be big and heavy).

National Brands (shipping included):

Smooth 3d - Standard R$ 210

Smooth 3d - D20 R$331

3d Cure - Standard R$ 175

3d Cure - Gamer   R$245

AliExpress Resins

Anycubic - ABS-like  R$ 200

Anycubic - Basic R$ 165

Sunlu R$250

Sunlu Abs-like R$ 268

Siraya Tech ABS R$ 231

My first question is, should I buy a cheap resin or should I buy a resin that I could use for miniatures, reducing my resin-type stockpile, considering that I don't have much space?

I have only tested the National brands and have not tested those from AliExpress, what resin do you guys recommend?

As you can see the pricing from National and those other brands are very different. From YouTube videos that I have seen ABS like from Anycubic is a great option for miniatures, the price difference ain't as big as standard national resin, is it a good option for the Ship?

Best regards,

Ivo

Is sryatech an option at all? I use their ABS-like resin and it’s been amazing

Just sent a link and pics of it on insta to see how it worked for me, good luck picking something!

Regardless of brand you're going to want at least some sort of ABS-Like or Tough resin.

We used to use Anycubic resin. It was super unreliable and smelled terrible. I hope you find something that works for you!

We‘re using the Anycubic ABS and for special crisp occasions the Resione M58 (thanks to Fraser for the tip! 🤗)
