Multi-episode series or single case episodes?

Or both?

I really like that it depends on the case and how much info you have to share. I'd hate for details to be skipped so a case can be one episode.

Jen N.

Happy with whatever it takes to tell the story.

I would think Multiple episode series would be required on cases where there is a ton of interesting facts and information that just couldn’t be compressed into a single episode, but you guys are the masters of this keep doing what you are doing.

I love the series because I like long involved complex stories. I always like more Casefile. (Kind of like more cowbell 😄) The single episodes are just as good. Casefile does a great job no matter what.

Stacey Kimmel-Smith

I have to say it is sometimes hard to track the series. I like the 50-60 minute episodes b/c they work so well for my commute and my long runs. If you do a series make sure it is a really intriguing story across all episodes. Thanks!

Laura Bagnell

Some cases can be told in one show, but some are more complex which require multiple episodes to tell them completely as only Casefile can. I vote for you to use your judgement as to how many episodes, and how long those eps should be based upon the case.

Rachel Singer

I love along single episode but I absolutely loved the original Nightstalker three part.

I agree with comments here, single episode is fine, but those series have been exceptional! I just finished the Moor Murders and can’t imagine how it could’ve been shortened. The meticulous research and storytelling is what keeps me hooked.

Amy

I much prefer single episodes. I tend to lose interest in multiple episode stories. I never finished the EAR episodes because I just couldn't pay attention after episode 1.

JenniferLB

I think the three-part episodes are ideal for series. Depending on how complicated the case is anything past that can become confusing, especially when separated by a week or two.

I like series more but voted both

Megan

For real I have never been disappointed in anything y’all have produced. Casefile has consistently been a top notch podcast! Y’all do you. I will always support you! Much love and respect!

Maggy Helwig

I like the variety of lengths. If I want to listen to a short case, I can, or I can focus on a series when I have a longer drive/listening period ahead of me.

MMH

I voted both, just finished Allison Baden Clay and the detail & research were brilliant for a single episode. I particularly liked the audio clips from the journalist & the author. Casefile team, you always do an outstanding job of releasing varied length cases and those that deal with cold cases, versus solved crimes. Thank you for all you do. Best podcast - huge respect & gratitude for your commitment to excellence

Carol Richmond

I like both but do admit case 67 - Alkatraz is quite difficult to follow due to all the different characters mentioned. Keep up the great work team.
