Hello! I’m love now with the AMA. Come say hi and ask some questions. - host

Ashley Renée

Hi there! Is the AMA here? Sorry if that’s a dumb question.

Shelby Trotz

i need to go catch up on the updates quick

Jacinta

Hey Casey, or Caso, as I like to call you.

Brett_T

Hi everyone, greetings from Canada west

Kim Talbot

Good Morning from sunny Queensland 👋

Shelby Trotz

West Canada here too Brett!! Finally some warm weather!

Brett_T

I just can’t wait to see how the EAR/ONS case unfolds and I hope he lives for many years to come

Casefile

Good morning Janine! Huge. Some great news isn’t it.

Ashley Renée

I got a hi! I’m feeling a bit star struck. I’m a nerd what can I say!

Brett_T

And makes lots of new friends in his new home, like big bubba :-)

Shelby Trotz

What was your first reaction when you heard the news that EAR had been arrested?

Brett_T

Hi Casey

Ashley Renée

I have a question, but I’m not sure where we can chat about it. Would this be appropriate or is there another way?

Cal Beveridge

I love your podcast. Yours is by far the best

Pat Rolfes

Greetings from Iowa, USA...obviously the EAR/ONS is huge news (here in the US can’t find news not covering it) what’s the coverage like in Australia or other parts of world?

Casefile

I didn’t believe it at first. I was about 6 beers deep. I first heard it via a text message. It simply read “EARONS caught”. I had to double check and triple check. When it was confirmed I was just so happy for the victims, survivors, family members and investigators who worked and fought so hard.

Fiona O'Sullivan

Nothing here! Really annoying. No one to talk to about it.

Kate Melb

Just finished today’s episode... so so sad for Chantelle’s family.. 😔. Mornington Peninsula AUS here xxx

Jacinta

Yes, obsessed with VR/EAR/ONS/GSK (wow, what a CV)! I’ll re-listen to the series of eps today. You know, for fun 😬

Casefile

To be honest i haven’t seen a lot on the Australian media. In saying that - I don’t watch or read a lot of the news.

Casefile

But from what I have read or seen the last week it’s barely gotten a mention.

Fiona O'Sullivan

Loved your reaction when he was caught. First time I heard you cursing. So emotional!!

Ashley Renée

I am in my final year of grad school 43 days and counting. I am doing an independent study and am working on my final project. I was hoping to interview some of my favorite podcast hopes and have been wanting to ask if it would be possible.

Casefile

I don’t even really remember what I said. Just turned the microphone on and went with it :)

Kate Melb

Me too the reaction was brilliant!!! 😂 I had to play it 3 times just to keep enjoying it!!

Casefile

Fire an email to me at host@casefilepodcast.com

Jeanne Rice

What's the hardest part of recording the podcasts?

Fiona O'Sullivan

I listened to all your episodes last Saturday doing household chores. Even better 2nd time around, especially knowing he'd finally been caught. The whole thing is so amazing. Someone came to the front desk in my office and I was so excited having just seen it on Facebook I tried to tell them ... but I think they thought I was a little unhinged!

JB Unicorn

Best podcast of all time! Fantastic episode today. Do you have any 3 or more parters coming up? Love the serial episodes. Keep doing this show for a long time please :)

Casefile

Beyond the continent which is obviously always difficult to cover - it would be Me trying to narrate! I make so many errors. It can take up to 6 hours to record an hour on a bad day!

Nick P

What do you make of the homework papers now that we know who eaton Is? Seems unrelated or a diversion to me.

Casefile

It’s so good there has been an arrest. So so good!

Jeanne Rice

It's totally worth the re-recording time, you sound awesome in the final product!

Casefile

That’s the plan! No three parters on the immediate horizon. But we do have some longer multi part ones planned for sure. There is a two parter coming up soon though.

Casefile

Hard to say. I’m interested to hear what Paul Holes and other investigators make of those once all the dust settles.

Brett_T

Is it only me or is having to manually refresh this chat?

Casefile

I’ve had to do it a few times myself

Casefile

Anyone seen any good movies lately? I haven’t seen one for ages

Jacinta

Caso, I politely request you make your episode teaser tweets easier to guess. They’re always so cryptic.

Brett_T

Thanks Casey

Casefile

I saw on Facebook that a few actually guessed this weeks episode!

Jeanne Rice

I've been enjoying the Marvel movies but I haven't seen infinity war yet.

Lily Celia

A movie pales to your podcasts

Brett_T

Wow, that’s amazing, I’ve never come close, not even with the help of “The Google”

Ashley Renée

Awesome. Thanks. May I ask how long you spend researching each episode?

Amity B

Just finished listening to the new ep. What a mystery! I’d never heard of that case. How heartbreaking. Will you be doing any updates later in the year? (Trying not to give anything away...)

Erica Jewett

What's your favorite movie? :)

Casefile

Yep will release something regarding what you are thinking of

Casefile

I haven’t seen the first one yet! I’ve been meaning too. I’m way behind and out of the loop with movies.

Fiona O'Sullivan

Also loved the new Murder on the Orient express, then a few weeks later had dinner in one if the original Orient Express carriages in an hotel in Galway (Ireland) which was amazing.

Jacinta

Caso, Crimecon is this week; will you ever go, and if so, will you take me with you?

Dean

This whole GEDmatch angle on EARONS has been an eye opener. Any of your cases do you think could be likewise solved ?

Casefile

I want to see that one too!

Casefile

Yeah would like to go one year for sure!

Fiona O'Sullivan

It's 1.47am here and my husband is snoring beside me! Goodnight everyone 😁

Casefile

It could be a game changer for sure. Any case with DNA evidence could benefit. I’m just trying to think what u solved cases have DNA. A lot of them we don’t really know what they do and don’t have as police won’t confirm. I know with the Wanda beach case they are hoping as technology improves they will be able to develop a profile. If there’s no match on the usual database checks. There’s no reason why investigator can’t follow the lead in the GSK case

Casefile

*Unsolved cases we have covered that is

Dean

It's a bit confronting for an offender that he can now plan and even pull off the 'perfect crime' but if he leaves any DNA, he can be identified because a 4th cousin who has never met or perhaps not even KNOW about get's partially matched to the crime scene sample and then the offender is toast. After EARONS, there will be some nervous offenders out there wondering when the hammer will fall !

Karen S

Was just reading the Patreon message. Can I ask what a spanner is?? American here. :)
