It is that time again to start thinking about questions for the next instalment of the team AMA. This is for the recorded audio version. Fire away!

Liam Joyce

Hi my name is Liam and I have been listening of a couple months, they are great to listen to in the 3 and a half hour drive when I go home from Uni. My question is for the host, in the last AMA you mentioned that you followed rugby league, what team do you support and who do you think will win the grand final this year?

Ray Miller

$5 tier, not showing in my feed (again), what gives, the main reason I donate is for no commercials and these things.

Casefile

Hi Ray, what isn't showing in the feed?

Ray Miller

Not sure best how to show you ? I see nothing in my feed.

Captain Flint

Have any of you been watching I am a Killer on Netflix? What are your thoughts on it?

Lindsey Lydecker Keller

Is there any episode/case that haunts you or sticks out in your minds more than the rest of them? Thanks for doing an AMA.

Jason Colombo

First of all, thank you for everything you all do. :-) Next, for Casey, you got a few Aussie punk bands to recommend? Fan of the stateside stuff, Rancid, nofx, Pennywise, Op. Ivy, blahblah. Who’re some good bands, from your neck of the woods, with that pop punk/punk sound? The Living End and Frenzal Rhomb rule, want s’more. ☺️ THANKS AGAIN!

JB Unicorn

Hi casefile team, sending you all much love from Boston! So I have both a question and a request. First , what is everyone’s favorite accent to listen to? Part of why I love Casefile is the Australian accent. Second, my request—I would love to hear the host say something in his best American accent 😄

Nick P

Tell us three things about you, two of them true and one of them false.

Jennifer Guidry

Hi! I am Jennifer and I've been listening since the beginning ♥️. I absolutely love the podcast, the excellent research, the eloquent execution (yeah that that accent drives me crazy 😁) and the fascinating facts that I didn't know about the case. So question;: what crime first peeked your interest in true crime?

Lynda-NZ

Hi Casefile team! Hope you’ve managed to work “fizzing at the bung” into your daily conversations 😆 Question: what do you think about Nick “Honeybadger” Cummins being the latest Bachelor?? (Disclaimer: I don’t watch The Bachelor, but I might have to start, I think it might be hilarious).

Matthew Graneri

Hi guys. Love the podcast! I wonder - have there ever been any cases that you’ve researched or produced that’s genuinely made you feel uncomfortable? As in, something that’s too ‘nasty’ that it’s not even interesting to you anymore. Also, just a request: do you think you could make an episode covering the story of the Batavia? I know it’s not the sort of ‘case’ you’d normally do, but I think it’s probably got the elements of true crime that would make it relevant to Casefile. Also, I’m sure the shipwreck museum here in WA would love to help out with your research (they have a lot of the artifacts and a huge chunk of the wreck on display there). I hope you can find the time to look into it - I’d really love to hear your take on it :)

Hello from Minneapolis! First off, thank you all so much for the stellar podcast. I have been with you since the beginning, and your show keeps getting better and better. Thanks for all of the hard work by the writers and researchers, scoring and production, and narration. My question is for Casey: did the Dnepropetrovsk Maniac’s episode take extra time to narrate than usual? Just asking because all of the Ukrainian names sounded flawless in your narration. Also, it was noted in the FB group that some of us could hear a bit of a “sigh” in your voice during that episode. I can imagine that ep was especially difficult to cover. Thanks again, Team!

Mariya Cassin

I am a native Russian speaker and I agree, the host did a great job with pronouncing all the proper names.

Connor Z

Thank you for creating such a great podcast, my favorite by far! What drove your interest in true crime in the beginning and how did you get the idea of translating that into starting a podcast? If you had the idea for a while, what made you "take the plunge"? Any intriguing decisions you needed to make or other interesting details from early on in the podcast? Again, a wonderful job by you and the team!

Sam

Hi guys! Got a few of questions... -How many people work on Casefile currently? I can’t keep track of all of the different writers you have used throughout the episodes. -Have you all met in real life? - What listening figures did you get for you first episode when it was first released? And how many listeners do you get now per episode? (Obviously understand if you want to keep it private). - Would you rather be attacked by 12 duck size horses or 1 horse sized duck? - if you could go back would you have used a Pseudonym rather than being called anonymous as i think it would of stopped people being so keen to find out who you are? I came on board a few months after you started and it’s my favourite podcast. Thank you.

Vicky London

Hey guys, love the show. Been listening for over a year but have been bingeing this week. Other than the Kahuis, have you ever looked into any cases across the pond in NZ? The Bain family murders, the disappearance of Ben Smart and Olivia Hope, Teina Pora? Even though you've covered some pretty horrific cases, are there any you just don't want to touch?

Jess Elms

Have you guys looked into the slender man stabbing case?

Jennifer Guidry

Question: if you could spend one evening (safely) taking to an infamous killer (anyone - dead or alive) who would it be and what would you ask them? Me? Personally, I would be absolutely fascinated to talk to Ted Bundy for an evening and ask him all sorts of questions about how his mind works and how he thought of things, perceived the world, why he did the things that he did, etc. if I can’t have that I’d like to beat the shit out of Susan Smith for about five hours. Thanks for taking questions 😁

A Nobody

Hi, new to this AMA and Patreon. Perhaps it's been asked already so forgive me in advance. Do you plannon covering the unrelated but similar baffling cases of Brandon Lawson and Brandon Swanson?

Da Guru Bro

So two quick questions for the next AMA. 1. Vegemite. How much is the correct amount on toast? 2. If you were prime minister for the day (which is longer than most these days), what is the one law you would change?
