With Operation Cathedral underway, investigators continued to reach out to internet service providers to collect the names and addresses of customers with IP addresses linked to the club. Upon obtaining this information, detectives dispersed across the country to conduct mass surveillance of 13 addresses where Wonderland members were suspected to operate.

Far out. One of the most depraved cases I've listened to date. Definitely not for the faint hearted. @Miley - In addition to the BBC Panorama documentary, are there any good books that summarises the Operation W case?

Brenda Wells

Ooh, this one is a hard listen. :-(

Crystal Ann

Wow!!!! 😩 I can’t believe the light sentences they received. Such a tragic story

Maya George

This was brutal, but I’m glad Casefile did this episode. People need to understand how ‘normal’ and widespread the abuse of children is. Not only how the perpetrators operate but how not talking about it, can feed into how it’s done. Nothing will change if it’s not addressed or talked about. Well done, team :)

Literally makes me sick. Drug dealers who sell drugs willingly to paying adults can do lengthy jail sentences maybe even life and u have people abusing, molesting, and torturing children over n over again and nothing happens to them they get a slap on the wrist n walk around like nothing happened and reoffend over n over n over again there’s a problem with this. But u did your job mr anonymous you got my blood boiling.

I’m afraid to listen to this one! Will have to read the comments. I talk to my step kids about stuff to make them away. So hard to keep kids safe!

AMFP

*make them aware

Ruth A Davis

Omg. Absolutely chilling, heartbreaking and frustrating! Wonderfully and respecully told as usual. thank you so much for shedding light on this topic.

Matt Riggle

Such a great story and so well told. Great job by everyone on the CF team.

Lyman Green

Ouch. So horrible. So good.

Nora Charles

What horrid people. Death is too good for them. Never touch a child.

Jan LeBlanc

Wow what a well done case! I really can not believe that the judge gave such light sentences to these monsters. And REALLY was shocked that they only made them register as sex offenders for 7 yrs, some of them. Did the actually think they were going to change their sick obsession?

Pip

This was a very tough listen, and I’m a criminal lawyer so have dealt with many cases along these lines.

Yet another phenomenal episode. This one was the first to hit close to home for me, as I live in Santa Rosa, CA. It was definitely surreal to hear Casey's voice saying my city's name- and I had absolutely no idea such a vile person was terrorizing my neighbors. In 1996 I was about 4 years old living 10-15 miles down the highway.

Selina Beltran

Absolutely horrendous crimes!!! And I'm livid with how lenient the sentences are. The new 10 yr max is still too little imo. Great episode and handled with much consideration. Well done.

Willow Hall

I listen to a lot of true crime, but as a mother this one chills me to my core. It’s a good reminder to be ever vigilant, but the fact that such a tiny fraction of victims were ever identified makes my blood run cold. 💔💔🤢🤢😭
