Blair Doherty

Morning Casey. Your beloved roosters are playing in the grand final, your favourite 3 punk bands are holding a concert together, and there's a huge break in a Casefile case that requires your attention. All at the same time. What do you do?

Jess Elms

When is casefile being turned into a tv series?

Mari Michele

I apologize ahead of time for this being so lengthy. 💄🍄🌞 Hi, I am new to this. I wanted to thank you all on the Casefile Team for putting in the effort and passion that you do. I can tell you are genuine, so thank you. Also, make sure you all are doing self-care. Super important! Ok. Well, that’s my two cents about that. Oh! One more thing! Can I just say, wow! I am soo glad and appreciative of the community of diverse, yet like minded individuals here at Casefile. Man, I don’t know about you all, but I just loooove a good story to make me go, “What in the heck is up with the human race?! “. Lol. Anyway. Now, to my most favorite (yes, I did say that) person that I even clicked this email for. 🥰🥰. The host of Casefile. 💃🏾🧚🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️💁🏾‍♀️. I have to ask you a question: Who the f*ck are you? 😂😂😂. No, I’m kidding. I know why you do what you do and guess what. I totally respect that. I do, though, want to know...

Mari Michele

I do, though, want to know... First off, here is a super big and cuddly hug from St. Louis, Missouri. So, there is something that has been deeply bothering me for the longest time. What is happening with the Dnepropetrovsk murderers? Did they ever get an official diagnosis?

Mari Michele

What in the world was really wrong with those guys? Like, WTF! Also, Ummm.. is it Casey? I do have a question that is more directed towards you and the Casefile team. I realize, though, that I am technically writing this to just you right now. I was wondering .. do you believe in evil? Or do you think things like this are just a manifestation of maybe a combination of both nature and nurture.. or maybe all of those?

Mari Michele

Or, I don’t know.. just what makes me do these awful things. How do you think they turn off that part of their brain that recoils from such acts.. or do they just really not care? I will take my answer off the air. Thank you! 🌸🦋🙏🏾✌🏾

Mari Michele

Ok. Creepy. I did not mean to say, what makes “me” do those things!! That was not a Freudian slip. Sorry about that. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Casefile

Haha, why would you do this to me Blair! Here's how I'd do it. Casefile comes first - especially if it was a huge break in a case. So I would give my full attention to Casefile, while avoiding the score and result in the grand final. Once my casefile commitments were over, I'd watch the no spoiler replay of the grand final, and hopefully be able to catch my 3 favourite punk bands playing a different show in another state on the same tour.....How's that?

Casefile

Hi Jess. Great question. Wish I could say it was, but I have nothing to report at the moment.

Blair Doherty

That's not bad. I honestly thought you'd be thinking "Casefile can wait two hours" haha.

Casefile

Hi Mari, thank you for your very thoughtful message, it's much appreciated. There are many unanswered questions about the Dnepropetrovsk case and no one really knows why they did it. Some say they were motivated by robbery, while a judge believes it was morbid self affirmation. After doing this podcast, I would have to say I do believe in evil. There are plenty of examples of nurture contributing to offending, but in some cases it's hard to mount an argument against evil.

Casefile

Feel free to keep the questions coming in everyone!

A Nobody

I found the last case utterly confusing especially with the names in the beginning coming fast and furious. The one before was blah as well, barely hald my intrest as it was so predictable. I think I maxed out my share of Aussie stories unless we get anothe Peter Falconio-like episode. I really like a case with a twist, a good mystery or something like the Silk Road story. Nonetheless, I am enthralled with your voice and delivery, so you can read a telephone book and I'll listen. My question though is this, can we start a vote for what episodes to have done?

Monica Hanns

Hi team, I just wanted to say thank you for presenting the Silent Waves podcast. I've listened to it all and was completely riveted by the storytelling. Could you tell us how the presents came about? Will we expect more like this or is it a bit of a one off?

pain

In their defense, the cases that they talk about are true stories and not all true stories have twists. Also a little disrespectful to call someone’s murder a “blah” uninteresting story, bud.

Mari Michele

Good morning, Thank you so much for your reply! Love, blessings, and peace to you. 🌸. Mari

Captain Flint

I think we should pester Netflix to have Casey be the narrator of the new season of Unsolved Mysteries. That or the new season of Forensic Files!

Casefile

Hi Monica. Thank you very much. It came about as we wanted to use our platform to help launch other podcasts that we thought were deserving of a larger audience like Silent Waves, and we also wanted to create new podcasts. It definitely isn't a one off. We have a number of brand new podcasts in development as we speak! (A Patreon exclusive piece of info there).

Pegi Miskey

I listened to Silent Waves and it was excellent! I’m looking forward to all the new episodes of Casefile yet to come One of my favorites was the episode about the Pizza Bomber in Erie Pennsylvania because I knew every street in the story🥰🥳
