Megan Brennan

Have you dressed up to take out your bins yet? 🤣

Neil A.

Will Casefile be affected by COVID-19 restrictions (ie. less episodes coming out)? Or is it a matter of your collaborations are all long distance any way so it won’t affect it at all? Keep up the good work guys! These episodes are still something to look forward to each week.

Jenny

@Host - are ya binging any tv shows online recently during these stay home days? If so, which ones are your favorites?

TJ Tiong

Is there anyone in the world (past or present) that you would like to have on your show? And why?

Jen N.

What percentage of your day is spent in your pyjamas? Be honest.

Austin Peppers

Have you had families of some of the victims reach out to you after an episode has aired?

Ashley Hermes

Hi Casey, long time listener here, I haven’t reached out to the podcast much but I remember when you only had around five episodes. So much has changed in that time and just wanted to say this podcast has been one of the few constants in my life over the last few years, I really appreciate what you’ve built here and how you do it. I guess I don’t really have a question for you, just wanted to reach out. Thanks again for starting this up. I became a Roosters fan when I heard that you are a Patriots fan :) take care

Keifer Johnson

Hey Casey. Long time lurker, first time Patreon subscriber. As graphic and horrifying as it may be, have you considered covering the “Christchurch Shootings”? In the past you’ve converted the “Port Arthur Massacre”, the “Hoddle Street Massacre”, and the “North Hollywood Shootout”. These episodes in particular stuck with me as you blended the narrative with actual recordings from responding authorities. This combination nearly had me sweating bullets. Do you plan to release anything similar in the foreseeable future? Thank you. Stay safe.

If there were one unsolved case listeners could be learning about and raising awareness about during these quieter times in quarantine, what would it be? How can crowdsourcing help?

Jason Colombo

Good day everyone! I don’t wanna inundate you with random punk news, again, 😘 so true crime it is!! Is anyone on the team familiar with “The Blackout Ripper” from London, during their lockdown, in 1942? Just finished “In the Dark” by Simon Read, highly recommend! Very fitting case for these strange times. Do you think there are cases of something similar happening, right now, during this massive lockdown? Hope you’re all well and keeping safe!! Much love and thanks to you all!

Victoria Bowers

Hi! I absolutely loved the Batavia episode - do you have any plans to do more episodes on older, historical events like that? Keep up the amazing work! Take care ❤️

Sarah Whitehouse

More of a comment than a question...after listening to your AMA this week, a book recommendation for you. The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris is absolutely unputdownable. I’ve just finished the sequel - Cilka’s Journey which is not far behind. They stay with you and really get you thinking...and also make you realise just how lucky we are that staying home is all that’s being asked of us! I read The Tattooist from cover to cover on a flight home from Bali to Brisbane...runway to runway stuff! Can’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks for all you do, and stay safe.

Casefile team , there was never any doubt that you'd be my first ever Patreon account. Sorry it's taken me this long to get onboard, actually. Which got me thinking, would you ever go full-on & have exclusive episodes reserved for just Patrons? I think Swindled & Obscura do this to drive more Patreon conversions. Excuse if this has already been asked, haven't caught up with all the AMA's. Thank you, stay safe ❤️

Casefile

Hi Megan, Haha! No, I haven't. However I did have an encounter with a spider last time I took the bins out. That's been the most eventful outdoors activity in the last few weeks.

Casefile

Hi Neil, we all work remotely from home, so we are fortunate to be unaffected at the moment. There will be no change to the schedule. Thank you very much!

Casefile

Hi Jenny, I haven't yet. However I do plan to start on season 3 of Ozark soon!

Casefile

Hi TJ, I'll answer this from the perspective of From the Files, even though that show is on hiatus currently. I think Mark Tedeschi would be a great interview, prosector in the Belanglo case - widely regarded as a 'masterclass' in cross examination. He also prosecuted Sef Gonzales (case 103), Robert Xie (case 61), Roger Dean (Case 6), Phuong Ngo (Case 40) and wrote a book on the kidnapping of Graeme Thorne (Case 75). So he would be an intriguing guest for us for sure.

TJ Tiong

Wow!! That's awesome. Would love to hear that interview of it happens. 😍

Casefile

Hi Jen, generally I'm out of my PJ's fairly quickly, however I did go until 11am one day, that would be the longest. Although I was working in them the entire time!

Casefile

Hi Shannon, it is yes, although the toilet paper aisle was still empty last time I went :/

Casefile

Hi Austin, yes that's happened a few times. Both families as well as other people directly involved, such as Justin Watt from the Janabi Family episode.

Casefile

Hi Ashley. The early days! Thank you very much for sticking with us for all this time, much appreciated. And I am very happy to hear that about the roosters! Where are you from? You picked a great time to support them, back to back premiers!!!!!!!!!! How are the Patriots going to go post Brady?

Casefile

Hi Keifer, thank you for joining patreon. We appreciate your support. We have no plans to do that one at the moment.

Casefile

Any that we've covered. Also, Billy Jensen is active on twitter at the moment with the hash tag #Quarantinesolve - where he posts information about an unsolved murder seeking assistance to help solve them. @Billyjensen on twitter.

Casefile

Hi Victoria, given the reaction we received from that episode, we will now look to do some more yes. We don't have any actively in production at the moment though. Thank you.

Casefile

Hi Sarah. I will pass this on to Mike who made that recommendation. I'm going to have to check it out myself. Thank you very much! You too!

Casefile

Hi Taryn-Lee, thank you for your support, very much appreciated! We have considered that, but ultimately it comes down to a time issue. All of our time and energy goes into making Casefile as good as we can. It doesn't leave us anytime to put into Patreon episodes. We had to put From the Files on hiatus due to the lack of time at the moment, and 20, 30, 40 times (Im not sure what the number is, but it is a lot) more work goes into Casefile episodes. So not at this stage. But perhaps in the future things may change and we can produce Patreon exclusive episodes.

Casefile

Thank you for the questions everyone!

Craig

Casefile was one of the first, if not, the first Podcast I ever listened to. Fast forward 4 years later and it is still my favorite Podcast by a long shot...to me there’s no competition. I always update my Podcast app on Saturday mornings, first thing, to see if there’s a new episode by Casefile. Thanks to Patreon, I may have to come up with a new routine. Love everything that Casefile does; writing, narration, music, homework and delivery. Thank you!

Leo Hallin

Huge thank you! I have tried so many crime podcasts and lots of swedish ones (where i live) that are actually fantastic but after finding Casefile it quickly moved to number 1 in my book, the serious approach without adding or putting feelings to cases and letting the listener decide for themselves is the best, the host is perfect both in tone, voice and script.

Pegi Miskey

I have to say your coverage of the Natalee Holloway case was excellent. The drama filled media coverage at the time never mentioned anything but the 3 suspects who she was last seen with and the father.I honestly had no idea that police were actually doing there job.So TY for providing a well balanced review of the case.

Anthony pogline

First of all I wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of the show. My question was have you ever done a show on the assassination of kim Jong-nam? Thank you and keep up the great work.
