Have you ever considered jumping on the podcast tour circuit once the pandemic is over? Or do you think the show is best kept on a recorded format? If I may be so bold and ask two questions -- Are there any previous cases that you want to revisit and possibly expand on? Which cases are those?

Jenny Erickson

I'm going to be annoying and ask who is Casey?!

Victoria Bowers

Exactly how much nausea was experienced during the making of the Dennis Nilsen episodes? 🤢 Okay, now for my real question. Do you and the team find that the research/recording of really heavy episodes like those take longer, just from the sheer awfulness of it? I had to take breaks just while listening because I wasfeeling overwhelmed.

Rebekah

Would you all consider covering the Colonial Parkway Murders? Thanks!

Megan Brennan

And he wants to stay anonymous, so they won't answer. His choice should be respected. 😊

lizzie

have you ever visited the united states? if so, what were your favorite cities? if not, what cities would you like to visit? love from chicago, lizzie

Edel Crowley

I broke down crying when I was finally able to finish listening to the Janabi family episode. Were there any cases either for you, Casey, or the rest of the team that while researching, writing or narrating it you had to pause or re record some sections due to overwhelming emotions?

I first just wanted to say thanks for making Casefile -- amongst all my podcast feeds it's so great to hear an Australian voice, and discussion about Australian stories. I'm originally from Wyalkatchem in Western Australia, but I've lived in Perth, Adelaide and (currently) Melbourne, and it's thrilling to hear the backstory on places I know well! My question: I notice that the majority of the Casefile content is English-speaking countries, are there any plans to delve into Asia, Africa, etc? I imagine there's some terrific stories there too and a lot to learn about those cultures and how crime is managed there. Thanks! (Has there ever been a crime in Antarctica?)

Casefile

Hi Austin, I don't think our show is really suited to a tour. At least, not in any format that we can think of at the moment. There are actually many. a Casefile Presents project we have coming out later this year actually does expand on a past episode. We also have a few others in very early development that expand upon previous Casefile episodes too, so keep an eye out!

Casefile

Hi Jenny, according to some reviews...... ;) "It sounds like a computer voice reading".

Casefile

Hi Victoria, they certainly can. There was nothing pleasant about putting that episode together. We are all pretty good at identifying when we need to take some time out.

Casefile

Hi Iizzie, I have, albeit briefly. I visited LA, Las Vegas, Oakland, Alaska. I would like to see more of the country! Alaska was amazing too, would definitely go back. Vegas as well!

Casefile

Hi Daniel, I wouldn't say I have a favourite. There is a whole range of factors that go into case selection, there isn't any hard set rules or anything. Some are listener suggestions, some are cases that members of the Casefile team want to cover specifically for various reasons, others are cases that we come across when researching other cases, and others are requested by families, and occasionally law enforcement.

Casefile

Hi Edel, yes there have been. One I vividly remember was Becky Watts, however there have been plenty of other cases where I have shut the laptop and stepped a way for a period of time.

Casefile

Thank you Stewart, much appreciated. Yes there is. We have a case from all of those places you mentioned in the works!

Rebekah

It’s a case local to me and unsolved. I would love to hear how your team pulls it together. So many questions after all these years.

Megan Brennan

Hello from the Western 'burbs, Lizzie! If you're ever out in Naperville, let me know!

Maressa Calder

Hi, have been a long time listener and thought it was only fair I put my money where my mouth is and become a Patreon member.

Maressa Calder

Pressed send too soon sorry. I would like to make a recommendation to look into the ‘Bible John’ murders and the murders committed by Peter Tobin and Dorothea Puente

Stacey C

If you could host another podcast, what topic/theme would you choose?

Stefan Bradley

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure you haven’t covered any cases involving Indigenous Australians. Would you cover some of these no doubt important stories?

Casefile

Thank you Maressa. Much appreciated.

Casefile

I believe both are on our list of potential future cases. Thanks Maressa.

Casefile

Hi Stacey, some sort of unsolved mysteries podcast, a music podcast (punk rock) or a sport podcast (rugby league).

Casefile

Hi Stefan, we agree, these cases are very important and we're currently looking into several that we hope to cover. We're reaching out to family members and Indigenous community representatives to ensure these cases are covered in a comprehensive and culturally sensitive manner.

Huperzia Selago

Do you guys think that you will ever do another t-shirt / sweatshirt that just has "Casefile" on the front? I think you had some like this on the old merch site back in the day.

Julia

I just want to say I love the podcast so much and your voice is amazing! You sound so intimating and mono tone when you talk about gruesome crimes, but then are also able to sell products in advertisements very well in a whole different tone. So talented!

Pansy Pan

If I listen to episodes on Patreon, does this get linked to the the Apple podcast listens? I always feel guilty about listen via Patreon, I would still listen with ads if this helps with the counts of downloads and listens! ☺️

Casefile

Thank you Julia, much appreciated.

Casefile

Hi Pansy Pan, it doesn't, but that's okay. Please continue to listen here early and ad free! That's one of the main perks.

Maressa Calder

Do you think the team will take a stab (no pun intended) at the Maura Murray case and do you personal think a crime took place, or that she decided to leave her old life behind and take up a new identity?
