Joe D

What are some of your favorite new musical discoveries?

Da Guru Bro

Not so much a question but a thanks for putting me onto “She’s the band” they rock and I can’t wait for a gig near me. 🤟🤟🤟🤟

Stefan Bradley

Thoughts on the Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel doco on Netflix? Feels like only a matter of time before Netflix approaches Casefile for a series - if they ever did, would you be open to it and what would you envision a Casefile TV show to be?

Amy McCoubrey

If you could do anything else, other than Casefile, what would you do?

Fever Dream

Can you please narrate yourself going to SipnSave and getting a 6 pack of VBs?

Connor Z

How much person hours do you estimate it takes to put together a full episode from start of research to release? What about a minisode, now that they are being restarted again? Also, does Casefile make the same amount of money for those paying annually with the 10% discount as opposed to monthly?

Cathy

What case has impacted you the most?

Cathy

How many episodes have you recorded but not released yet?

Maddison Jarratt

If you could have the answer to any unsolved case, which case would it be?

Daragh Fitzgerald

what case would you regard as your own personal masterpiece? I think your five part EAR/ONS was fantastic - so in depth, written and constructed so perfectly. For a one part episode, i think your best was Steven Stayner, Mark and John, or the Miyazawa Family. What do you think was your best episode?

PJ

How do you approach explaining the nuances of the laws in the different countries you do stories in? Does it get confusing for the team?

B-randy D

You all have been "branching out" in covering cases like Shergar, the Batavia and the Lindt Cafe siege; wherein there is crime but not the traditional true crime stories we see from you. Love it, btw! Would you ever consider doing something on any other events like this, specifically large-scale mass incidents. Or are these topics too much for the team in the sense that some people believe it would be glorifying the attackers? I would absolutely love to hear the team take on the Beslan School siege. I've read about it and studied it but I know you guys would go next level with your research.

pain

Hey guys! I love you all and all the hard work the entire team puts in :) my question is, with all the extensive research you guys do for these cases, does all that info ever take form in your dreams? Have you ever lost sleep due to the things you’ve read about cases? I remember after listening to the EARONS episodes, I couldn’t stop looking behind my shoulder while walking to my car at night, and I’m a grown ass man lol

Amanda Ellen

Hi Casefile team! One of my favorite cases you covered is the Batavia, episode 138. I was wondering if you guys plan on covering more crimes that occurred prior to the 20th century in the near future? This history nerd would be absolutely delighted. Thanks! - Amanda

SalBee

Probably asked before, but I'm new, so excuse me if it has, but has there been a case/cases that you've wanted to cover but you just can't find enough information to create a whole episode?

Ryan Canady

New member here. Any ideas for doing a white collar crime episode?

Ben O'Connell

Hi Team, I’ve often wondered when it comes to researching and writing a case ; do you endeavour to reach out to directly to journalists who closely reported on that particular case (locally or nationally) to fact find, get a closer insight or simply fill in any gaps in the timeline/story narrative? Kind regards and stay safe Ben O’C

Jason Colombo

Have you had a chance to hear “Prognosis” by Nerdlinger? You recommended them to me a few Q&A’s ago, and I totally fell in love with them. Australia’s pop punk scene really seems to be thriving and has a super fun call-back to the early 90’s shit we got in the states. Any more recommendations? Much love, and I hope everyone is safe and doing well. ❤️

Stefan Bradley

Did they cover the Lindt cafe siege? I have no recollection

B-randy D

Stefan Bradley... looks like I got my pods mixed up. My mistake!!

B-randy D

Sorry CF team, I got my pods all mixed up. I must've associated the Lindt cafe siege with you guys because of the location. My apologies

Casefile

No worries Brandy, we already recorded yesterday and mentioned we hadn't covered it. Just in case you're wondering why we still mentioned it after correcting.

Casefile

Hi Jason, sorry I missed this, I had already recorded. But yes Prognosis is great! Glad you like Nerdlinger. Seen them live a few times. Once was with Versus the World and Good Riddance. Good show! As for other Aussie bands, try, "The Decline, Local Resident Failure, Bodyjar, Frenzal Rhomb, Clowns, Lost in Line, Hack the Mainframe, She's the Band (Elsha's band, who is a Casefile writer), Grinspoon, The Smith Street band. Also check out Pee Records, which is the best independent punk label here (maybe the only one actually) https://www.peerecords.com

Casefile

I forgot two more! Seraph's Coal and Gyroscope.

Laura Sayers

Hi! Have you thought about doing a multi part on Keith Raniere? You would be the PERFECT host for this story. I invision it being similar to your captivating Silk Road series. Love Casefile, keep up the great work!

Casefile

One Dollar Short. Their EP 'Press and Hold' is a great place to start.

Jason Colombo

You saw Nerlinger with Good Riddance?? That show must have been ridiculous! I've been enjoying the shit outta The Decline and LRF, since your last suggestion. And I always forget Frenzal Rhomb is Australian, those guys are a ton of fun and I'd love to see them live one day. Definitely adding them to the concert bucket-list. <3 I also just snagged copy of She's The Band's EP on bandcamp, I love angry female punk vocals, so much, it's like someone is pouring warm tea on my brain. haha! If that ever gets pressed to a sweet 7", I want first dibs! :-) If you have a chance, give a listen to Fucked and Bound's album "Suffrage". They're outta Seattle and pissed as all hell, and the vocalist, she scares the shit outta me. Much Love and thank you for all the tuneage! Be safe!

Jason Colombo

Bandcamp has a sweet cd collection from One Dollar Short, just snagged. :-) still a sucker for physical stuff, if I can find. Thank you for the rec! They fill that gap between 10 Foot Pole and Pulley...if that makes any fucking sense at all. haha!
